Proofread Anywhere Bewertungen

All lessons were relevant and useful. the exercises were also helpful.

Great course ! The practice exercises (with explained correction for each) were very useful.

If you really go through the lesson plans and videos, you learn exactly what is required to become a sound proofreader. I was nervous submitting my final exam. However, when I got my results, I was extremely pleased and so glad I stuck with it to the end. Like anything else in life, you get out what you put in!

Do NOT give these people your email address! I was intrigued to hear a little more about their program. After looking into it, it became clear that almost no one was able to make a living as a proofreader after taking their course. Read the one star TrustPilot reviews. I never paid for their course. My complaint— it’s been 5 days since I looked at their course, and I’ve received more than 30 emails from them! I’ve unsubscribed and blocked them!

Thanks for the structure you provided. The data was great. The only thing I suggest is an added layer of support on top of Facebook.

The company provides all the tools necessary in an easy to follow format. they deliver quick responses to questions the student might have and they offer plenty of examples for each module. I would definitely recommend this course and certification to others.

I loved this course. Great value, very informative, gives you what it promises. I had a lot of fun doing it and was very excited to pass my exam!

It was precisely as advertised. The asynchronous instruction let me learn on my own schedule, and I took as long as I needed to. And the support you get during and after your final exam is invaluable.

Very well paced and learned a lot about writing styles and job based. I like that this covers all the bases of running your own freelance business. I liked the rate conversation as well.

I haven't gotten to far along, but I am enjoying the entire platform. I am remembering many thing I already knew but had forgotten from lack of usage. I'm looking forward to the later chapters and the help starting to put my self out there!

My experience with Proofread Anywhere was excellent. My emails were answered promptly. Everyone was kind and helpful. The course was easy to understand and very thorough. I would recommend Proofread Anywhere to anyone who is interested in becoming a proofreader.

They are kind and open with the process, and they give you plenty of resources to help along the journey. I also enjoy that the grammar lessons (I am still taking the course) are offered in a variety of manners, with a written lesson, a video lesson, and a transcript of the video all as options for learning. This is helpful and very accommodating. The Facebook group is honestly not something I would expect to appreciate, given my distaste for Facebook, but the group is helpful as well and I am glad for the extra resource. I like the amount of grammar practice included with the course material, as it is also a confidence booster as well as a chance to learn and to improve your skills.

I'm very happy with the course I took for General Proofreading. It covers a lot of information and really prepares you to work as a confident proofreader.

I had a great experience earning a proofreading certification from this company. While some of the materials are a little outdated, there was a responsive community for support. As a lifelong editor and writer, I found the proofreading training to be just what I needed to learn the specific skills of this niche to proofread for Chicago style. It was worth the price for me. It took me about 3 months.

I am working at my own rate, which allows me time to absorb that which I am reading. Being able to back up and read something again is helpful. I am still wondering if I will be successful once I have completed this course, but I keep reminding myself of how enthusiastic and supportive you all are. So, I am keeping at it daily.
I have been setting my morning alarm an hour earlier than had been my usual, and have not missed one of my morning sessions. Yay, me!

I paid what I thought was quite a lot of money for this course. As I used to spend a lot of time proofreading in my recent job, now that I am retired, I thought I would put my skills to good use in order to supplement my pension and thought this course could help me refresh my skills and maybe help me to find clients However, I had a lot of trouble trying to download the lessons in the first module, so I emailed them at the customer support email address whichI was given in my welcome email, should I experience any problems. However, my email bounced straight back to me as 'undeliverable'! I checked that I had sent it to the correct address, so I tried the email address which sent my welcome email, but it still bounced back! I'm not at all happy with this poor service.

The course leads you in the right direction to become a proofreader. Trust them when they say it is completely on you and how much effort you put in to learn and apply the material. The downside is you don’t know the mistakes you’ve made on the exams, so it’s hard to learn from them. The practice transcripts are good to learn from, but it would be nice to have mock reporter preference sheet so the annotated versions are easier to learn from. The hardest part is the marketing! You really have to put yourself out there when getting started. I think the course does a good job at leading you into that right direction to get started, but I wish it was more in depth with step-by-step instructions as I was totally lost having no experience in starting a business. The best part about the whole course is access to the support groups. I would be lost without them and I believe that’s what gets a lot of people through. Overall, I’d recommend the course to someone interested and I’m glad I put in the work to get through!

Great lessons - short and to the point. Thanks for the links out to other resources. Very good exercises in the workbook.

I received may emails that were extremely encouraging and they informed me about groups to join while working on the lessons.
