Really not good and can't recommend
Had no choice by my insurance company to take my car to Pronto Norwich after someone drove into the side of my 20 plate honda civic writing off both doors, damaging the sill and part of the rear wheel arch. I was told it was undrinkable by my insurance and so took my own photos and submitted via app to pronto.
I'm not a professional so hoped I'd taken them as best I could.
No contact received from pronto at any time unless I phoned first.
My car was finally taken in on the 23rd Nov after my accident was on the 12th Nov. When it was collected Shaun assessed the damage outside my house and took some photos, one of which I specifically got him to take of damage on the b pillar where the door had been pushed in.
I was promised I would be kept informed as my car progressed but after I had to phone every week for an update I was given a variety of excuses/ reasons every week. They were very busy, they were waiting for parts, other jobs had over run, the workshop manager was aware of my car and they were getting to it....
Finally on the 21st December I was told it had at last entered paint stage nearly 4 weeks after they had collected it, and it should be ready after Christmas due to shut down.
I finally got the call to collect my vehicle on 3rd Jan only to get there and find the passenger door incorrectly fitted and by that I mean it was noticeable from about 10 feet away and when I opened the door the inner pillar damage mentioned previously and also shown on Prontos own assessment sheet hadn't even been touched.
I didn't bother looking at anything else and went straight to reception where Rhys came out and as soon as he saw the door and damage that hadn't been touched became very apologetic! By the time I had been given my Enterprise hire car back my car had disappeared and I was told they were sorry and it would be fixed.
A day later I had Enterprise telling me they wanted their car back as my repair was finished and as such the insurance would not pay anymore.
I finally got a call from Pronto on 6th saying my car was ready, again, to be collected. I checked said repairs and even though the door is still not as straight and aligned as it was pre accident, I left.
15 mins later I was back as when you got over 35mph the was a whistling of wind noise coming from the area where there had been work done at the front of the passengers window door. The faster you went the louder it got.
I wanted while one of the guys took it out to check and upon its return the car went straight to the workshop.
At the time of writing the car is booked to go back next Saturday 14th for the noise to be investigated as it wasn't there before and they also have a couple of other things to look at that I noticed today when checking the car over. The inner rear door panel is not fitted and the trim is loose by the window which I didn't see till first opening the rear door.
However the more alarming and worrying part is where the vin number is visible on the front windscreen lower left hand side, it's now not visible due to being filled with either condensation or water ingress. It's location on the car is also on the same side and near where the whistling wind noise seems to be coming from so I don't know if it's connected but is still worrying as it was not an issue pre accident.
I am writing this before my vehicle has been rectified and I REALLY hope it is as I love the car.
I will update this review as it progresses.

Poor Service and Customer Care
Posting as I am now attempting to sort for my family. Despite numerous communications by them with Long Eaton branch and insurers a family members car is still no nearer being returned. Both parties constantly changing their stories. Pronto care have had the car since 10th October 2022 and have said at various times awaiting parts, work started, awaiting paint work, will be completed by 23 Dec 2022. Still no sign of car being returned and Pronto Care not communicating openly, honestly and without chasing.
Car bought back unacceptable
My Motabiity car was returned today after an accident repair. I am disabled and rely on my car running properly. I got into my car some 20 minutes after it had been returned as I had a doctors appointment. As i turned on the ignition all the dashboard was flashing telling me that all 4 tyres were under pressure. All registering 28. There is NO WAY that my car could have had all tyres needing pumping up in one go. Therefore they drove my car all the way from Cambridge with the warning lights on. I have complained to Motability. My car is a Suzuki Vitara and is only a year old. I'm appalled at such service. The driver should have stopped and pumped tyres up.

My car was recently repaired by Pronto after an accident. Rhys was the account manager for my insurance company and was absolutely brilliant, providing me with regular updates and working really hard to get my car back to me as quickly as possible. He returned my car to my place of work to minimise the inconvenience to me. My car is as good as new! The only reason I have only awarded 4 stars was because the car took 5 ½ weeks to repair, but this was mainly because they were waiting for parts to arrive and in no way was Rhys to blame for this. I would definitely use Pronto again and highly recommend Rhys and his excellent service.

Part 2 of my disaster with Pronto...
Everyone at Tesco I have spoken to in the claims department has agreed that the liability lies squarely with Tesco and Pronto. The only thing Tesco have been able to tell me is that an engineer has agreed that the damage was not caused by the accident on February 2nd.
In the week commencing October 3rd 2022 i have spoken to Tesco to express my frustration at the lack of a satisfactory resolution. I have been told by 2 members of the claims team that Tesco no longer use Pronto due to the amount of complaints. I think this speaks volumes.
On Monday 10th October I received a call from Becky at Pronto at roughly 2.55pm to say that my car was all ready and would be being delivered to my home on Tuesday 11th October. I was astonished at the audacity of the call knowing full well that the car was still at NK Motors in Chilwell. I informed Becky that her company was useless and unprofessional. She was dismissive of my complaints. She informed me that Pronto would take back the courtesy car. I said i'd neither sign any paperwork accepting my car back or hand over the courtesy car to which Becky informed me that she would call the police... I ended the call. At 4pm that day i drove to NK Motors to collect the keys to my car thus preventing Pronto access to my car. To my amazement i discovered a box on the back seat of my car with a replacement front grill and a Kia badge. To add to my shock i also discovered no work had actually been carried out on my car and the broken bumper and grill was in the same condition as when i handed it to them. I have these replacement parts in my utility room along with pictures to prove that no work has ever been carried out on my car. This proved again that Pronto are liars having lied countless times not only to me but Tesco and Kia throughout this sorry episode.
I employed an independent engineer who ascertained that the car didn't need a new engine. Pronto, having left the car parked (presumably under some trees which in turn has damaged paintwork to the roof) for nearly 10 weeks decided in their infinite wisdom to jump start the car which as a result damaged the ECU throwing up all sorts of fault codes. I hold Pronto fully responsible for this damage. I also hold Pronto fully responsible for the damage to the paint work due to the sap off the overhanging trees in their yard.
had Pronto just done their job properly none of this would have happened. Tesco and pronto are shocking to the core.
Pronto will probably reply to this with all kinds of cut and paste responses which, if you've read other reviews you will be familiar with.
Their courtesy car was eventually fetched from my house on Wednesday 26th of October by two rather sheepish looking men. I had earlier threatened to have the car scrapped, within 90 minutes the car was collected.
If you value your mental health, vehicle and wallet do not use this company or Tesco!

Excellent service and communications
Excellent service and communications, Credit to Liam Josh and all the team that worked on restoring my Ford b max. Brilliant work and very fast living up to their name. PRONTO.! Added to this whoever cleaned the car inside and out needs recognition. Brilliant finish. The team are near to sainthood as I left a purse by accident in the car and in this day and age the contents were returned without theft. Outstanding reputation will use you again. Great service let down by poor cleanliness
A helpful, punctual bunch who repaired my van to a high standard. Not a show winning finish but pretty good. They let themselves down by returning my vehicle in a filthy state. Both the exterior, but moreover the interior, are filthy. I now have to spend a couple of hours cleaning just the inside. No excuse for it.

A mixed experience
My insurance claim was accepted by the insurance company in mid-May and Pronto contacted me in mid-June. My car was booked for repair on 18 August, but Pronto cancelled the day before because they didn’t have an automatic courtesy car available. Automatics aren’t the norm, so I was understanding and my repair was rescheduled for 9 September. I was told repairs can take up to four weeks, assuming no complications, so I was hopeful that I would have my car back just in time for the MOT on 7 October. I made Pronto aware that the MOT expired on 8 October. After three weeks, I was told the door and panel couldn't be repaired and new parts needed to be ordered, which could take up to a week to arrive. I was not a happy bunny. I depend on my car and wasn’t confident to use the SUV courtesy car (my problem, not Pronto's).
After a frustrating delay (and rescheduling the MOT twice), work started and was completed speedily within two weeks thanks to Shaun following up. I would also like to thank Shaun for his communication throughout the process and for delivering my car to the MOT centre on 25 October before returning it to me, which was most helpful. I am delighted with the standard of the repair – the bodywork team has done a great job, thank you. My plea to Pronto is to take a customer’s car in at the point you are ready to start work. Then I would be giving a 5-star review. :)
Negative experience
Still awaiting the return of my car. It has been in the garage since September. Auxilis blame Pronto but we are not convinced. Auxilis seem to be the only ones benefiting from my car being at the garage.

Abysmal
Abysmal says it all. Repairs to our car were authorised in June. We waited until start of Sept because they didn't have space immediately (fair enough), and we didn't want to lose the use of our [drivable] car over the summer.
06/09 dropped the car off, and I really should have refused when they told me they had no idea when the car would be repaired.
23/09 (when i chased them) they told me they had all the parts and were waiting for space to work on the car. Bear in mind this is when i called them, they may well have had the parts for weeks, who knows.
07/10, 17/10 I called again. Told the same. "We'll try and get a date and let you know"
06/11 We go take a look. Car sat there in the lot. Covered in leaves. Untouched. Expired MOT. No info on when we'll get it back.
So, 2 months since the date they gave me to bring the car in for work. 6 months since a kid not paying attention drove into the back of our car. 2 months with a terrible hire car which we can't fit the whole family in, and has no tow bar so i'm out of pocket on towing fees. And pronto have done nothing.
Something that struck me as odd was all the positive reviews on here have peoples names in them. I'm not great at remembering names, but it's interesting how all the positive reviews mention names and also mention:
- update phone calls (they have called me zero times in 2 months)
- rapid repairs (hmm... 2 months for a simple repair and they haven't even started)
The inability to give a date of repair, and inconsistency reeks of poor management. If they had a management system in place, they could at least estimate.
I have no proof they're submitting fraudulent reviews on here (and I actually know at least one of the positive ones was genuinely written by someone I know), but the consistency and polar opposite story to all the bad reviews is rather interesting. If you're considering using them, I would suggest taking a look at the bad reviews to see if they have consistency.
