Stalked by this company on multiple…

Stalked by this company on multiple days at multiple times.
I only gave permission for them to recontact me on a single Monday morning at 9am.
I was unable to answer the call as I was busy.
I have since been stalked by this company 3/4 or more times of the week, most weeks.
Take the hint... I'm not interested.
You will now never get a penny of my earnings.

Pestered daily

Put in my details to get a quote and now being cold called repeatedly on a daily basis. There is a reason why I didn't follow through with the quote! Stop ringing me. You will NOT get people signing up by pestering them. Enough already!

Cold calling and there is nobody on the line when you answer.

Never expressed any interest in any of their products and have no previous contact with them so why are they cold calling me? If this continues they will be reported to OfCom!
I have answered both times they called my number and both times there was nobody on the line - I thought these types of calls were illegal!

We don't cold call anybody. We only phone people who make an enquiry about our insurance products and are happy for us to call them to discuss. For obvious reasons our sales agents wouldn't then go all shy. I have looked in our database and there are more than 1 person matching your name so I have sent an email via Trust Pilot to seek more info (last couple of digits on your tel number or last part of your post code will suffice). Once i have the email we'll ensure you aren't called again. Regards, Tom

UPDATE: We have investigated your query and your number is in our database but with a different name. So i suspect somebody on the online form to request more information has typed in a 'random' number and we called in good faith. We have blocked the number from being called again.

I took out a plan on the 26.01.2021 and…

I took out a plan on the 26.01.2021 and I have paid every month since then I was told that I would receive a voucher but still nothing when I called up I was told that I would be contacted after 5 days in regards to this but after reading the reviews I dought that very much it is now the 21.09.21 and I am still waiting I think I have been mislead

Mind-boggling ludicrous adverts!

Ridiculous that £millionaire Debbie McGee is advertising the fact she doesn't want her family paying for her funeral - she's a flaming millionaire and can afford to pay for her own funeral multiple times and still leave her own family with pots of money to spend.

I keep seeing the advert on telly with Debbie McGee. It is awful. This washed up actor is being recycled by this company to advertise their appalling funeral plans I cannot bring myself to watch it anymore. They plug this advert in every commercial break this company is desperate.

My Uncle passed a few weeks back

My Uncle passed a few weeks back, we were unsure if he had anything in place, but he surprised us as he had took out a policy as we found a postit note with the policy number and telephone number. My husband rang the company who advised that he had took a policy and there would be no trouble in paying this out, once we sent in the relevant paperwork.

In the meantime we found his paperwork saying he had took out a policy for £2000. However, when they paid out they only sent £238.08. which was the annual payment.

Upon ringing them I was advised this was needed to have passed the 12 month period for us to receive the total sum amount, which this company failed to tell us.

I told them this was not stated in our first call, to which they said they would get the call listened to and call me back. Two weeks later, I'm still waiting for said call.

Companies like these are quick to take your money, but do not want to pay out. It's really disgraceful especially when it is a stressful time in its self.

They are suddenly calling me, never asked for insurance; wouldn't in a million years, so you are LYING when you blame the customer for your faults and deeds! For shame....They will claim they ONLY call people who have expressed an interest, but read the reviews...they cold call and are spam! Of course we call back, that's what they do

I can confirm somebody with your name and telephone number did enquire about an over 50s life insurance product, via an online ad. And this was the reason for the call. We have made sure you won't be contacted again.

Hi again Lisa, just in reply to your updated review. To be clear we don't 'cold call' people as you state. We only call people who supply a telephone number requesting more information on the products we offer. Looking back since May I can see 3 or 4 reviews that mention being called. That is something like 0.003% of the people we have telephoned in the same period. Hope that reassures you. As I mentioned, we have removed your number from our call list.

THEY ARE STALKERS

I recently had a quote from Promise Life but it was too expensive for me.I thought once I refused their offer I wouldn't hear from them again,but no in one day I had 10 calls from them.I kept getting annoying calls so now I have told them I would be contacting the police for them stalking me.Id think twice if u get a call from Promise Life just put the phone down

On Tuesday 4th July 2021 at 1541hrs I…

On Tuesday 4th July 2021 at 1541hrs I received a phone call from 0333 555 0025 which transpires was from Promise Life. A young lady on the phone advised me that Terry, my wife had contacted Promise Life for a quote. I immediately advised the arrogant and un-empathetic person on the phone that my wife was in hospital suffering from cancer and that there was no way she had requested this quotation. The person on the phone said she would call back later and again I had to explain that my wife was having treatment for cancer and was not well. The person said she would call back anyway at which point I became very irate as my wife is my world and losing her to cancer is absolutely devastating as it is to my 3 daughters. At the end of the conversation this person, who represents Promis Life was laughing as if it was just another Marketing call, which in some ways I accept, but realistically could do with out. How would this person feel if she was in the shoes of one of my daughters who are going to lose their Mum in the near future, despite my anger and frustration at this immature person who represents your company, I would not wish what my 3 dignified and polite daughters have been through on her. The disgusting way the this person was representing your company needs to be investigated. In my rage I then contacted a young Man called WAYN who was empathic and apologised on behave of Promise Life and listened to what I had endured and advised me that a Manager would be calling me back, I am awaiting that call. I am trying to find the details of a director or CEO as I want to take this further and find out, how my wife made the request for a quotation, as she is in no fit to do, so the day, date, time and exactly how this requested would be informative. We all have to unfortunately accept that these telephone calls are a part of our life these days but sure Promise Life you may be speaking to people that are really going through the realms of losing a loved one and all your staff can do is have a good giggle at another persons close bereavement. Shame on Promise Life you in my opinion do not represent a sincere company that customers could feel confident in your approach to another individuals death. Shame on your young lady who called me, but I am a great believer in Karma. I am awaiting a reply from a Manager but will be contacting other avenues of complaint and awareness of your companies abrubtness and so angry at someone laughing at the pleasure of my wife dying. Last word DISGUSTING!!!!!!

I don't know how this company got my…

I don't know how this company got my name or number but over the last week they've phoned everyday. I never answer calls from unknown numbers and why the caller won't leave a message, I don't know. I googled the no. To see it was from this company who I've never heard of. I'm not interested whatsoever and I wish they'd leave me alone.

Giftcard?

I bought a policy last year, had lovely sales guy go through things with me, everything seemed quite simple, I had the offer of a £100 gift card which i agreed to but I still haven't received, I was told that I qualified for the giftcard after my 6th payment, this was 1st February, called the office to enquire and was told to wait up to 8 weeks for delivery, still I have nothing, I have sent a message via messenger guess what.... no reply... Im now losing faith in this company.

Our Late Mum fell Victim - Please Stay Away

Our mum sadly and very suddenly passed away 5 weeks ago. She saw the advert on TV and arranged her own funeral policy with this company. We had no idea she had done this off her own back, until she mentioned to my sister a few weeks before she passed.
 My mum didn't own her own house, she worked two jobs for 20 years and raised my youngest sisters alone, she didn't have any savings. She was 63. She was so frightened of catching covid from the school where she worked taking care of the (key worker's children) she worked as a welfare staff and after school club. She sadly passed away from a Brain Haemorrhage so we din't have any time to save for her funeral. And our dad passed 3 years before mum so we only had each other for support.

We were extremely relieved, and thankful that mum had a policy in place. Peace of mind for our mum that if the inevitable were to happen all would be taken care of.
When we contacted Promise-life, we provided mums policy number and were asked the question how mum died, at the time we did not know. Possible heart attack, or stroke is what we assumed. It was the worse day of our lives but we had to get things into place. So discussing the funeral policy that mum had helped us determine what amount this would-be for. The agent we spoke to never said to us that mum's policy isn't covered, or will not cover the full amount, the agent had every opportunity whilst looking into our mums policy to discuss this with us. Instead we were told “we will pay your claim” So we began planning our mums funeral inline with the budget.

However, Last Wednesday we told that we would be granted £200. That's £20 for each month that our mum had paid. Mum's policy was for £4030. 

We are left devastated and wondering why wasn't this said to us on the phone instead of misleading us. When mum first passed we had so many kind people reach out to us to help lovely people wanted to set up a go fund me page to help with any financial difficulties, however, we gently turned down this as we knew we had mum's policy and all was covered.

 We didn't know that our mum needed to have passed the 12 month period for us to receive the total sum amount, which this company failed to tell us on that call. We have now been left to pay the bill, and now mums ashes will not be released. We are just so upset that you couldn't be straight with us. It would have been helpful for us to know on that call so we could have reached out for the help when mum first died.

Now we are having to go public 5 weeks on for support! And we will be certainly naming this company!  

Our mum fell for the advert which was being put out during covid pandemic but we will do everything in our power, and in memory of our mum to ensure that other people do not do. Twitter, all social platforms and the local paper. We are heartbroken this has happened.

Update: since my feedback, we have received a public reply. I have emailed the complaints team as per request with our mum's policy number. Promise life then responded below.

Would leave minus figures if I could. This is the number of spam marketing calls I've blocked, fortunately my phone records each attempt:
18th February. 23
19th February. 36
22nd February. 33
23rd February. 24
24th February. 7 so far and from 2 separate numbers that are just a couple of final digits apart.

How long does it take you guys to realise someone is not interested. This is harassment not marketing.
I dont care anymore how good your offering might be I would not consider rewarding such bullying bombardment with my business.

As you can imagine this post caused an immediate investigation as there no way we would ever need or want to call anybody this number of times. We are fully regulated and follow all rules and regulations in terms of the relevant industry bodies. We found your name in our database with a tel number that ends 987. Assuming this is you we pulled the phone logs and can see that you completed an online form on 17th February at about 9pm requesting more information on our products.

The logs show one attempt was made on 18th February at 09.46 and one attempt on the 19th February at 17.38.

There were no other activity on the phone number connected to that name or any other record.

So I would suggest someone else has been trying to get hold of you? Feel free to reply with the tel number you are seeing and I can check that for you.

Poor telephone manner

Despite me telling the caller very politely that we had considered their offering and concluded it was not for us they did not respond but simply hung up.
This is not the approach of a genuine trustworthy organisation. With a rating of 50% BAD i would recommend avoiding them
