Fraudulently misleading shipping.
Fraudulently misleading shipping.
During checkout, I was quoted $7.99 for 2 business day UPS shipping (and 1-2 days to process the order). 4 business days (and up to two more days of cushion in case something went awry) was sufficient for my needs -- I needed masks for an upcoming trip -- so I ordered from this based on this shipping quote. I received an order confirmation email that also indicated UPS would be the shipper.
When I received an email two days later confirming that the masks had shipped vis regular USPS, I was incredulous. I contacted customer support, who eventually responded. The first agent who got back to me claimed I was just confused about the statement that they took 1-2 days to process orders, and that they do not offer 2 day shipping. When I responded with screen caputures of their own website at checkout (I put together a test order for the purpose) which explicitly offered 2 day shipping via either UPS or Fedex, I received a reply from a different agent who said he understood how this could be confusing, but I didn't have "sufficient information." Rather, he said, it was completely up to their distributors what shipping to use. They refuse to acknowledge that there is anything wrong with making claims about shippers and shipping speeds that are apparently pure fiction.
If you value honesty in companies that you purchase from and prefer not to be gaslit by unhelpful customer "support" agents, look elsewhere.
Unfortunately, I found them based on old press covereage and reviews, and I did not update my research or I would have seen that at least one major outfit that previously recommended them no longer does (Wirecutter by the New York Times), and that online reviews and their standing with the BBB have been universally poor since real customers have acted on the advice of the media outlets who helped promote them early on.
