Avoid this pharmacy – shocking customer service and zero duty of care
Horrendous experience trying to get my partner’s prescription filled here. We were told the medication would be ordered in and would arrive on Monday. It never arrived, and nobody bothered to call and let us know.
When I called to follow up, I spoke to the same staff member, who was extremely rude and constantly spoke over me when I expressed my frustration. Instead of offering a solution or next steps on how to get this essential medication, they were entirely focused on making excuses for their poor service. The call ended with the pharmacy hanging up on me.
Unbelievably, they then called my partner—not to offer a solution or apologize, but simply to try and defend themselves again. Absolutely appalling communication and a complete lack of professionalism. We will never be using Longsands Pharmacy again.

UPDATE- There was no abuse on my part. The representative spoke over me when I asked to focus on a resolution, and my request to escalate to a manager was ignored.
​I will be submitting a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) for the call transcript; please provide the appropriate email address for this. Note that your failure to disclose that calls are being recorded is a breach of UK GDPR rules.

​The pharmacy has since repeatedly edited their reply. They first claimed to have listened to a recording to prove I was abusive, but deleted this claim after I flagged the GDPR violation. They then tried to have Trustpilot remove my review by claiming it was for the wrong business, and later, that it was defamatory. Trustpilot investigated and rejected both of their attempts. I will not be silenced by a company attempting to manipulate their ratings.

My past reviews of completely unrelated matters—such as a defective appliance or mortgage delays—have absolutely no bearing on this situation. Attempting to scrutinize my profile only proves that this pharmacy is focused on defending itself rather than helping patients safely and efficiently obtain their medication.
​We have since moved our family’s prescriptions to Asda, where the entire process was seamless and handled without issue. I have officially changed the nominated pharmacy for myself, my partner, and my entire family. I highly recommend others do the same to ensure a reliable and stress-free service.

I came in for a ACWY umrah vaccine, staff were very helpful and very efficient. Would highly recommend.
