The tech charged me $85 to tell me I need to replace the garage door opener. He was literally here for 5 minutes. I asked if there is any type of repair that could be done in the meantime and he told me no. I could see where the door is catching and asked if there was a way to fix it and again the response was, "no". When asked for an estimate, he told me between $800 and $1200? Now I have Girards coming to do an actual repair. What a waste of money.

I just want to Thank Bryce Strumpfer with Precision Garage Door for responding very quickly to my call! He set up for the technician Ryan Swift to come and look at my problem with my remotes. Ryan explained everything in detail and it ended up I had to get a whole new opener and some other parts. He gave me different options for repair. He then went right to work and had me up and running....The door is the best I have ever heard it run....very quiet and smooth operating. I highly recommend Precision. Their customer service was professional and everyone from beginning to end was super nice to deal with. I have used them in the past with my business as well and have had the same great experience each time! Thanks guys!

It was a great experience working with Presision! The company came out in a timely manner, took measurements for my garage door, gave brochures and options. When we decided which door we liked a time was set up quickly and efficiently. Serviceman Eddie Torres and his partner Ray did a great job installing, efficient and pleasant. Professional handling of transaction. Outstanding installer. Quality material and product. This company is the new standard of excellence for garage doors. My first reaction to the price was shock. But after having them complete the install I was glad I choose them. Their doors are quality doors. They include new track, spring and hardware. Price makes sense.

Back office does not return calls or follow up. We had to initiate a call after payment 1/2 down A few weeks later, with a call "when are you guys going to do this job" ?
Job completed 8/26. Called their office number I was given to expedite the permit. The gentleman did not have my permit #. He asked me to provide it . He would not look up the permit he said you get the number and call me back ! This is that 5 star service they boost about. LOL, Forward almost 1 month later...Bottom line no call for inspection almost a month after completion because they do not have it (truth) I was told it was improperly filed to the county and refilled.
As a victim of sloppy back office it is rough to be forced to have to do this kind of review. I assume now I will have to go to the county office and take care of finishing their promise of "we will take care of the permit". The call I just had just asking them to finish the job of permit and inspection from their salesman was awful. His normal pleasant demeanor , I guess is only during the sales portion. He keeped saying "what do you want from me? I said FINNISH THE JOB! he asked 3 times.
Fyi the installer got very upset and carried an attitude the rest of the job when he tried to boost me with extra product upgrades that I was very clear I was happy with the original contract which was simple, to replace our old door. My mistake giving them their final payment before the job had been inspected. As a retired General Contractor I knew better. Now what? trip to the county inspection office file my grievance and hopefully get an appointment with an inspector to find out what went wrong and repair permit, and inspect their workmanship. Unfortunately I have NO choice as most victims would tell you. I found it interesting that the salesman on the phone (the only one that returns your call promptly) said to me what if the inspector fails the job? WHAT? ODD. I will call you back to make it right. Then he hung up on me ! (nice customer relations) When he did that I knew I had to share my experience online. He could have said , sorry for the delay let me check on this and get back to you..NOT

You will notice that I am a longtime 6 star reviewer 175 reviews for google. I really tried to resolve this and was very patient waiting hoping for a follow up call on progress.
Please read my comments. Glorious and positive 98%. always. These people really pushed it to the limit as a consumer and I hated to write this review. I hope this saves someone from my experience.

FYI, never once an apology.

Do yourself a favor call somebody else.
Buyer beware of the glossy slick in the mail, it got me!

Okay, I was initially very upset as it did not appear they were going to resolve my problem and honor the warranty. HOWEVER, once finally getting connected with management, they 200% responded to the issue and the problem is FULLY rectified now. I started with a negative review, but given how this ended, I now give them the highest positive review.

I would just like to HIGHLY recommend Precision Garage Door Service. They not only installed two fantastic looking doors to my house, but a little glitch occurred a year after the installation, Kyanne, the person who answered my phone call was so great and so personable. She said they would send someone out that day. I am not used to that response. I expected something like a week from next Wednesday!

They sent out James Myer, a service tech who had incredible customer service skills and really knew what he was doing. I could not have been more IMPRESSED with James Myer and with this company.
I would not take the time to write this review if everything I wrote wasn't the truth. I would NEVER use any other garage door company for my house.

Recently my garage door went off track and I had to call in someone for repairs. I called a couple places, Precision door and Apple Door in Fredericksburg for an estimate. The first company that came out was Precision Door; they charged $85.00 for the estimate and insisted they needed to perform a 25 point inspection before they could give me a quote. After the technician fumbled around looking at the door, using a computer program to help build the estimate, the estimate came back between 4 and 8 hundred dollars to repair a door off the track. Basically he wanted to replace everything on the door. I sent him on his merry way. OH! By the way this company does not take checks!. The second company, Apple Door (Fredericksburg) wanted $165.00 to come out (service call) and provide an estimate for repair, plus parts. I made an appointment but later cancelled, knowing there was an honest company out there which would provide a good estimate. I finally contacted “All About Doors” They too charged $85.00 for a service call. The technician came out and within less than an hour had the door fixed, realigned and working better than before for the cost of the service call only. My recommendation check around before you call, find out service call price and then make your choice. I highly recommend “All About Doors” if you need any kind of garage door service.
