Use power switch to compare pricing and got powershop to compare pricing too! Absolutely furious my bill increased $150!!! STAY AWAY

It’s easy to sign up but to close an account is a nightmare. Tried calling, sending an sms and a couple of emails to close.
Ended up having to pay so much extra for weeks after disconnection date.

Utterly rubbish.

As others here have stated, they have an incredibly complex way of billing which leaves you constantly paying more than you think.

Customer service was no help at all when needed.

Definitely don't use them.

Changed power companies recently and thought I would be saving but actually am paying more now with powershop and their cunning ways of tricking consumers into thinking they get deals on it - CHANGE TODAY AND REVIEW YOUR BILLS

Can't recommend this power company at all.
First you have to play their little games of buying power packs all the time, spread across the year, so it always looks like you are in arrears.
Secondly, I paid for my months power via online transfer (an option they offer) but they also charged my credit card and added a fee. When I contacted them asking them to credit this they said they couldn't, even though it was showing as pending on my statement.
Trying to contact someone immediately is impossible.
Not a good experience, have switched

I had an issue that I needed to talk to the Powershop team about but I couldn't get through. I waited online for ages and called and waited. I tried again another day with no success. I emailed and waited a week for a response. In the end, I finally got through online and advised that I was leaving Powershop. The response I got - "sweet as"!

Company is a waste of time. Tried ringing 5 times been on hold for hours still got know where. Been trying to sign up for 2 weeks

Disgusted with powershops customer service. I could not contact them. I switched to genisis energy. Powershop did not give me an opportunity to have my final meter read and trying to bill me with an estimate they have made up.

We have been with Powershop for a few months now and I love it! I absolutely love the app. So easy to use and we are definitely saving money than who we were with originally. You definitely have to make sure you are ahead otherwise you just pay normal rates for power. I also love how they had games at one point you could play to try and win a gift card. They were fun games! Highly Recommend.

We have used Powershop for several years for the electricity supply to our home in the Bay of Islands. They are offering very economical pre-pay deals that can easily purchased by credit card. You can also save cost by using their low night rates between 10 PM, and 7 AM.
