Paid $6 for an item that didn't even show up.

Paid $6 for an item that didn't even show up. Got a $3 refund for the $6 item. Any attempts to go through Help led to dead ends and useless FAQs. The selection of restaurants is nice, but not endless, and if you encounter any of the frequent problems I do, the customer support, or lack thereof, gets old really fast. I'd go to a different delivery app. Uber is the same people with the same problems, so I wouldn't bother there either.

Hidden Fees and Terrible Customer Support

I ordered from a pizzeria just 4 short blocks away, and at checkout, my total was $22.32, which already included a $3.99 delivery fee, $3.83 tax, and a $4.00 tip. After I placed the order, my total suddenly increased to $26.52 due to a $4.20 "Marketplace Fee" that was not shown or disclosed before checkout.

I contacted customer support three times, spending over an hour trying to resolve this. One rep told me to come back after the order was completed, the second abruptly ended the chat, and the third was no help at all. The complete lack of transparency and poor customer service is extremely frustrating.

If you value clear pricing and responsive support, I strongly suggest avoiding Postmates

I ordered $90 worth of food 2 hours…

I ordered $90 worth of food 2 hours ago.

Randomly it’s canceled.

Driver calls, asks why it’s canceled. I said it’s not. He says he is on he way, I stand outside for another hour because he actually sounded like he was coming.

Delete the app. Never again

App is a joke. Customer service nonexistent

If you want to make sure that your order is incorrect or incomplete, be sure to order from Postmates. Been in the hospitality business for 25 years. Never scene so many errors in my life.

If you want your food delivered as ordered and on time, then use DoorDash.

DO NOT use, STAY AWAY

Do NOT use, absolute horrendous company/experience.
Waited Ages for our pizza order to be delivered in Florida/Orlando by driver Marcello and it Never arrived!! However Marcello delivered it to the wrong hotel and said delivered with proof by sending us a picture of his car!!!
The telephone number doesn't work to complain, online complaints/feedback seems to be a bot and the restaurant (who didn't make the mistake) says contact them we cannot help.
So we still had to find dinner elsewhere and pay and they ruined our night which was meant to be spent at Universal but took hours waiting/trying to sort and then still eat somewhere.
What a total SCAM!! STAY AWAY!!

The worst!

I could walk and pick up the food faster. There’s no customer service. This happens every time, and they don’t even care. Please don’t spend your money on these clowns.

2.5 hour wait after hot lunch pickup / Zero customer support

Driver accepted my order and did not move for 20 min after pick up. I contacted customer service and they said it was picked up. 2.5 hours after I ordered lunch, it was delivered. I contacted customer service several times during and after the order. They did not help, were rude, and denied me the refund. I have no idea what happened to the food for 2 hours. Would you eat it? People, use DoorDash. Excellent customer service. Postmates is a joke. No standards and horrible customer service.

After filling out forms to describe the items missing from my order, I received a message simply saying the items do not qualify for a refund... for no apparent reason.

I had a horrible experience today with…

I had a horrible experience today with Postmates/ uber eats. I placed an order, the driver who worked for Postmates brought me an order that was not mine placed by a DoorDash customer. I sent pictures to Postmates/uber eats and they refused to refund me, said it was the correct order even after I sent pictures proving the order was wrong. I spoke to customer service which is routed somewhere overseas they seemed to understand the issue but the app support continued to tell me I was not owed a refund. It’s totally ridiculous. This is the worst food delivery service to order from ! They do not take responsibility for their errors ! Nor do they provide explanations for their irrational responses.

I'm just upset their promo codes...

I'm just upset their promo codes they send me via email don't typically work. They are not expired, they are valid in my area, I'm meeting the requirements for the promo code to work, it even says "promo claimed" but it doesn't show up. Just is a let down. Feels like their trying to manipulate me into wanting it and then don't deliver on the promo code they advertised. Jokes on them because I'm so stubborn I won't order the meal I was planning to when the promo code doesn't work.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Driver was an hour later than the “latest time” the order would be delivered. Found it hard to reach customer service. Two hours after the “latest time” Driver notified me he had delivered and picture shows the wrong place. Got back on chat with postmates customer service to ensure I wouldn’t be charged, and the chat expired. The worst!! Will never use Postmates again.

The order never arrived

This is also for ubereats.com since the merger/acquisition: My order never arrived and was ditched in front of the restaurant with no attempt to contact me, but the site said that my order was completed. There wasn’t a way to contact a real person. There wasn’t a way to see what happened with my order. The site told me that I needed to use the app, but I couldn’t remember my password so I used the password reset which never arrived in the email address that I used to log into the website and make the original order. There were numerous UI bugs and error messages on the site. The merger of Postmates and Uber eats is a complete disaster. Their sites are utterly horrible and the entire operation appears to be AI driven with no actual humans involved except the drivers. When I finally was able to go through the chat tool enough times to get to a page where it showed me what happened, it said that the driver tried to contact me, which is false (no missed calls) and then took a photo of the food, which they sat down directly outside the restaurant, which means they never tried to contact me or come to my house. While I was able to request a refund and only offered to refund about 90% of my money in 3 to 10 business days which could be up to two weeks. The remaining portion was offered to me as a credit for my next order. As if. I plan on reporting them to the FTC (now run by Trump appointees including one of his lawyers to protect tech giants), the CFPB and the Attorney General and exposing this fraudulent activity and unacceptable service. Of course the CFPB could be dismantled by the richest man in the world, so we'll see how far I get with that. A class action law suit is not out of the question either. Uber is worth >$165 billion! Never ever use their services. DoorDash or literally anyone else for the win.

Follow up: There were two separate charges for the order and the tip. I had to wait two days for refund, then another day to dispute the tip that was posted twice on my account. I don't care about the $10 tips so much as the fact that we've seen numerous posts about this which feels like fraud. Enticing/phishing users with huge discounts via coupons only to shaft customers with no immediate recourse. Just imagine how this will effect seniors, non-english speaking or handicapped people. With all the guard rails coming off, we must fight corporate greed and greedy billionaires/investors. I won't let it affect my personal level of joy and ecstasy, but I feel its my public duty to spread this knowledge and experience so that others may benefit from it. There may be bigger fish to fry, but this my small contribution.

Horrible!!! Do not use

I only wish I could give a 0 because a 1 is too high! I placed an order, was not told until the driver was on the way then I find out he had numerous stops before he brought our food so obviously we had cold food! I of course contacted this company for them to tell me they couldn’t do anything about it. Such a scam company! Took and kept my money and I got cold food. Sounds fair huh! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
