Eric was an amazing host, really nice person and helpful. He made all the travelling smooth and easy.

I think the itinerary could be changed a little to maximise time spent in the locations rather than travelling in the day however.

I have been recently on a group trip to Brasil with Plotpackers and it has been my second group trip with this company already. I feel like the trips are very well thought through, offering a good variety of experiences. What I most liked about it was the opportunity to get to know also some local places and connect to the people there. One of them being our guide Julio L., who did an amazing job! He took such good care of us, was so loving and caring and attentive to every little detail, while showing us around the beautiful state of Rio, thereby not only being our guide but a real friend to us!
I can totally recommend! :)

Had an amazing time in India with plotpackers! Our guide Arvind (papa duck) was amazing and super helpful and fun. I enjoyed every minute :)

No flexibility in exceptional circumstances – very disappointing

I booked a trip with Plotpackers, but my flight with Qatar Airways was cancelled due to the current geopolitical situation. As a result, it became practically impossible for me to reach the destination (Maldives) in a normal, safe, and reasonably affordable way. You cannot promote yourself as a “budget travel company” if you expect the customer to spend thousands of euros extra to get to the destination.

Despite these exceptional circumstances, Plotpackers refuses any form of refund or reasonable solution. They strictly rely on their terms and conditions, without taking into account that the trip has become effectively unfeasible for me.

They state that the trip is still “going ahead,” but that is irrelevant when, as a customer, you can no longer reach the destination in a realistic way. Alternative routes are significantly more expensive and uncertain, making the trip unreasonable to carry out.

What disappointed me the most:
- No flexibility in exceptional circumstances
- Strict reliance on terms without considering the real situation of the customer
- No attempt to offer a reasonable solution (such as rescheduling or partial refund)

This gives the impression that all risk is placed entirely on the customer, even in cases of force majeure.

I would strongly advise future travelers to think carefully before booking, especially if your trip depends on international flights.

Very disappointed with how this has been handled.

Love a Plotpackers trip! I have taken two trips with them, one to Iceland and one to India (very different trips!!) and both were well thought-out, packed with details, and with smart, attentive guides.

One thing I liked about the Iceland trip, in particular, is that we had one Plotpackers-specific guide and then one country-based/local guide. I also loved the free time we had in Iceland.

Comparatively, we had ZERO free time in India. Which was fine since we saw so much. But if free time is important to you, do your research on the itinerary or others' experiences with that specific trip.

I had a terrific week seeing all the best that the Golden Triangle had to offer. Meredith was a lovely host, along with our guide and drivers.

I've taken two trips with plot packers now and both were great experiences! I would definitely recommend!

I had such a great time in India, everything that was included in the trip was fantastic and kept us busy and there were optional activities as well that made the trip feel even better. Our guide Arvind was excellent, he was very knowledgeable about every place we visited and helped us all out when we needed to find an atm or book extra activities.

Had the most amazing experience doing the golden triangle in India with Plotpackers. Everything was organized and planned out perfectly each day. Our guide, Arvind, made each of us feel safe and taken care of. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and kind! We could not have survived without him and our wonderful drivers. Thank you all for such an amazing trip!

Had the most wonderful tour with Arvind!! The bus drivers were great and navigated difficult roads with ease. Arvind was so helpful with all of our requests and when I didn’t feel well was quick and helpful to get me back to the hotel safely. I would recommend this tour to everyone :) Thanks for an incredible time

Ena is honestly the best! She done everything possible to give us the best experience ever! Including making my birthday one to remember. Not only did she go out of her way to make sure I was with the best company to swim with whale sharks, she asked them to do everything possible to find one (we did!!) but she also got me the best birthday cake ever! We had a small group but the biggest memories! This made Ena become a friend as well as a guide! I will never forget the memories we have together and I really hope we get to do this again! The snorkelling as part of the trip was also so amazing we got to swim with turtles together and the day trip to the resort was great! We played lots of card games together and formed a bond that will never be broken. I honestly couldn’t thank Ena enough for making my dreams come true!!

I would like to express my appreciation for this Jossy’s work. She consistently demonstrates strong commitment and a professional attitude. Tasks are carried out carefully and efficiently, with quality always being a top priority.

She played a big role in making the trip truly unforgettable. We had an amazing time, and she took excellent care of us throughout.

I had the best time of my life on this trip with everyone and Daniela make this trip so much fun with the activities and recommendations. I will definitely request for her again.

I’ve just returned from the Peru trip with Plotpackers and overall had a good experience.

A huge part of that was down to our guide, Jossy, who was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond every single day to make sure everyone was happy, informed, and getting the most out of the trip. Her energy, knowledge, and care really made the experience special.

The itinerary covers some unbelievable places and I’m so glad I went with Plotpackers, as it takes away the stress of organising and booking everything individually, and also gives you the opportunity to meet lovely, likeminded people.

The travel days can be very long and quite tiring at times, with a lot of time spent on coaches. While I understand it’s a big country and there’s a lot to see, it’s something to be aware of when booking. If you’re thinking of booking this Peru trip, I’d definitely recommend flying in/out of the country a few days outside of the Plotpackers start and end date, to give you time to relax and perhaps see a little more, as there is SO much to do in Peru! I flew home on the ‘dedicated’ last day as per the itinerary; the day after Machu Picchu - but I wish I’d stayed a bit longer to recuperate.

That being said, it was a brilliant trip overall, and this was my second Plotpackers trip (my first being Costa Rica, which I liked even more).

Had the most incredible time with Renata in Brasil. She was so knowledgeable and reliable throughout the entire experience. It was awesome seeing her love for Brasil shine through throughout our trip! Will definitely do another trip like this.
