I've been an active participant of UserTesting.com for more than 8 years. I have done more than 1000+ tests on the platform and average a spotless 5.0 star rating. It's a hobby for me. I don't treat it as a job but as a way to make the world a better place; I frequently go above and beyond to satisfy clients' needs and provide truly honest, thorough, and nuanced feedback.

As it turns out, however, I'm not good enough at think out loud studies, so I failed the qualification test for PlaybookUX, with no explanation given as to why.

Well, your loss.

It is ironic that a platform with “UX” in its name delivers one of the worst user experiences imaginable. PlaybookUX consistently fails at the basics. The app often refuses to upload recordings, forcing testers to waste hours troubleshooting instead of getting smooth experience. Even worse, after enduring the broken upload process, testers often do not get paid.
The platform is unreliable, frustrating, and disrespectful to the people who make it work. As a tester, you are left feeling like your time and effort mean nothing. If there were a way to rate lower than zero, I would.
NPS: –100. A platform that claims to focus on UX but clearly has no understanding of it.
Researchers please use anything else, literally anything else. BTW my app is still loading as I type this

absolutely terrible experience, i used few times this app to fill surveys online and everytime sth didnt work, firstly, interafce stucked sever times, it took 30 or 40 min to finish task preview for 10 min! secondly when i finished one ux testing and started other the first one was dispalying. yesterday i did anotheor survey where interface stucked several times, finally it uploaded it forever and sudenly crached with error. so everything what i recorded for company was lost.for you peace fo mind stay away from this horrible app. another time resarcher asked me to download some app, this app tried to take over my phone, i wrote to customer service they didnt reply anything. just be aware they dont care about your security

scam you answer 80% of the stuff and then they tell you you don´t qualify for the test.

I had a highly disappointing experience with PlaybookUX. Despite my 14 years of industry experience, they completely ignored my profile. It’s frustrating to see such disregard for seasoned professionals. Save your time and look elsewhere for better opportunities and recognition.

My girlfriend got accepted as a tester and did probably 7+ tests. We could never find out whether this was a legitimate site or not. They said she would earn over $100 for all her tests and we never got it. Over 2 weeks of what could have been job searching wasted on this garbage site.

Stop paying for tests suddenly without any apology or justification. I think they started scamming and stealing money

Scam "market research / paid surveys" platform. As other reviews have pointed out, they are gaming the system on other market research platforms to gain free UX testing and market research. Avoid at all costs. The app is dodgy too and wants way too many permissions. Beware.

My feeling about this site is that by the time you have completed the initial questionnaire then told that this test is not suitable for you they have already gained valuable information from the questionnaire, so it's kind a of a free survey for them. So it may be as one said earlier free labor. A bit ominous for now until I've delved a bit deeper.

Great Experience! I've been with PlaybookUX for a few years now and I've already felt that my voice is heard as a tester. It is easy to use and as long as you have access to a mobile phone/laptop and internet you can use this app.

PlaybooxUX recently transition over to a new dashboard system. There's still room for improvement, particularly a way to alert me via email when there's a new study. I think I've missed a lot of opportunities because of that. Other than this, my experience with PlayBookUX has been great.

I have been on PlaybookUX for almost a year. If thinking back 5 months ago, there were 1 or max 2 tests per month which was still ok. But in th elast 5 months there were no tests at all. I keep the page open at all times during the working day and no test is poping up. I wrot etwice to the support and I only get generic email saying that it depends on demographics. Its time to close it down.

Playbook UX has been a great way for me to to interesting market research while also making some side income for fun. The platform works well and is easy to use.

Bunch of scammers. If you want to find out by yourselves go ahead my work is not to convince anyone just leaving my honest review.

Experience has been top notch in using playbook UX. The ease of payments and taking sessions are extremely easy to do. There is a wide variety of surveys and sessions to take.

I love using PlaybookUX because the website offers lots of testing opportunities. The platform and app are easy to use and I always see new opportunities to take new tests on this platform. I highly recommend users sign up to make some extra side income.

Takes ages to review initial test, only to ask for doing another one. As I'm experienced and well rated in many companies, I know my capabilities and my suspicion is that they are trying to get unpaid labour that way, which is shameful.

The site is quite good, easy to use, in general it's a powerful platform. The only issue is low quality testers, for every good one there seems to be many bad one, rushing through tests, skipping questions... Maybe just my experience.

Super fast and helpful feedback. I use PlaybookUX for conducting moderated and unmoderated research and their participants are by far the best quality of any other service out there.

I never understood the power of user testing until I started using PlaybookUX. Their UX software is intuitive and easy to use. I would highly recommend this to any founder who wants to understand their customers!
