"I recently made a purchase from plastic-id and encountered a disappointing experience. Upon buying the items, the company unexpectedly requested personal information that I've never been asked for in similar transactions elsewhere. This practice is concerning as it wasn't disclosed during the purchase or beforehand.
Moreover, the items in question seemed to have undisclosed conditions for sale or required warnings that were not provided to customers prior to purchase. As a result, I find it unsettling that such crucial information was omitted during the buying process, leaving customers unaware and unprepared.
Adding to the dissatisfaction, the refund process is frustratingly slow, with a waiting period of 10 days. This extended delay contradicts reasonable and prompt business practices, causing unnecessary inconvenience to customers.
Overall, I am disappointed with the lack of transparency, unexpected information requirements, and the protracted refund timeline. It's essential for companies to uphold transparency and fair practices to ensure a positive customer experience. Regrettably, my experience with plastic-id falls short of these expectations."

Certain specialist printing equipment and materials that we supply are regulated under the Specialist Printing Equipment and Materials (Offences) Act 2015. As a responsible supplier, we are legally required to carry out customer verification checks before dispatching specific products. In addition, we voluntarily adhere to Project Genesius, an industry initiative aimed at preventing misuse of ID-related equipment.
These checks are not applied to all orders, but when required, we must request additional information to ensure compliance with legal and industry obligations. These measures are in place to protect both legitimate customers and the wider public. We understand this may feel unexpected if you have not encountered it elsewhere, but it is a necessary part of operating responsibly in our sector.
Regarding the refund timeframe, once a refund is processed on our system it is sent immediately. However, most card providers operate on a standard processing cycle of up to 10 working days before funds reappear in the customer’s account. Unfortunately, this timing is controlled by the banking system rather than ourselves.
We always aim to be transparent and fair, and we continuously review our communications to ensure requirements are as clear as possible during the ordering process. Your feedback is valuable and will be taken into consideration.

Nowadays it is not evident to receive good customer service, especially when you yourself are at fault, a lot of times you just get runaround from companies. Not so with Plastic-Id.com . I ordered ribbons for a machine we just purchased and realised later that the machine we are getting does not need ribbons ... confusing as well on side of the manufacture naming 2 machines almost the same . Anyhow I reached out to the Customer service team and ask to cancel and refund the order to avoid going down the return process. Sally answered right in the morning when their business opened and confirmed refund and order cancelation . This I what I call Customer excellence, to attend a matter right immediately before the the warehouse had a chance to fulfil the order. Well done , they have just gained my full trust and will see us as returning customer.
