Great service and communications from Phomo! Thank you for contacting me, and offering an alternative and better item when the original one was not available. Also, the parcel arrived within 2 days of ordering and ontime! The veggies are very fresh, and the meat are very nicely marinated. Very easy to cook with the clear instructions. Many thanks again!

Ordered the meal for two, so easy to prepare, fresh delicious ingredients and fantastic value for money would recommend.

Delicious! We ordered the meatball noodles and the meat bundle and had four excellent meals with minimal fuss. Excellent quality.

We tried the Vegan Barbecue and also enjoyed some complimentary summer/fresh rolls. The food was delicious and the portions generous. We would definitely order again and will try some Pho next time.

I’d seen the Phomo Vegan Pho & Vegan summer roll kit in a web search of best vegan meal kits and went to order it. That’s when I saw they also did a Vegan Vietnamese summer bbq kit and knew I had to order both kits (so I did!)

They arrived together as one order and were all very well packaged and labelled.

As the Pho kit comes with the summer roll kit, you could make both and have a mammoth feast of a meal. We split them and tried the Pho kit first.

Not only was this extremely easy to make (recipe was well written and easy to follow), all the ingredients were very fresh.
We found the Pho’s very tasty and they were quickly devoured.

You receive a bag of vegan prawn crackers with each kit and the recipe says to serve them alongside the Pho……….these didn’t make it and were munched before the Pho’s were made. You’ve been warned! they’re very moreish 😊

You also receive a jar of chilli oil with this kit and we used a little of this with the Pho rather than using the Bird’s eye chilli (that was included) as knew the fresh chilli would be spicier.

Next up, we tried the Vegan Summer roll kit. Again, all the ingredients were well labelled and very fresh. This recipe has minimal cooking and is predominantly chopping veggies to go inside the roll.
Not having made these before or used rice paper sheets, we did manage to mess up 2 (out of 6) sheets and they ended up too gloopy to use. The other 4 weren’t as bad but our rolls did not end up very pretty.
Although our rolls were a little ugly, they were still very tasty.

Lastly, we tried the Vegan Vietnamese Summer BBQ kit. This can be made using either a bbq or oven and we used our oven.
Again, this kit comes with a bag of vegan prawn crackers and they were eaten well before the dinner was ready 😊

All the ingredients were well labelled and very fresh.
The marinated cabbage went into the oven to cook and the recipe stated that the tofu and mushroom steaks should be pan fried. We oven cooked all 3 due to ease and they all turned out well.

This comes with a substantial salad so there is some chopping/shredding involved but if you’re letting the oven (or bbq) take the strain for the hot ingredients, this is easily done.
The salad was lovely and came with a fairly sweet dressing. You could then add the Birds Eye chilli (included) for spice as the recipe states. We used some of the chilli oil from the Pho kit and didn’t use the fresh chilli.

The marinated cabbage was extremely tasty and had a good level of spice. Having the salad, tofu and mushroom steaks alongside compliments the spice and it all works really well together.

I enjoyed making and eating both kits.

Rather disappointing to be honest. Packaging pretty poor a lot of hassle to peel and prepare everything. The spring roll impossible to handle and the broth not at all tasty.

Even though the meat is good, the broth is so bland, it does not taste as good as restaurant. I think the company chose to remove fat from the broth so that it looks aesthetically pleasing when frozen.

WHEN WE LOOKED AT THE INSTRUCTIONS THERE SEEMS ALLOT TO DO. WE DID THE PREP AND COOKED THE FOOD IN SEQUENCE AND IT WAS DELICIOUS. A GREAT EXPERIENCE ESPECIALLY WITH THE AUTHENTIC BOWLS AND LADEL.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYBODY.

Great tasty meals. The fillet beef was so tender. I look forward to using the broth in future recipes.
