Always Financial Aid issue and Lost Staff
The Classes and Teachers are great, but the staff are never on the same page, and there’s always an issue with Financial Aid and they just have a that’s you issue attitude, and are poor at communication because to call to ask some questions you have already answered maybe even twice prior! Not about anything that’s going on with you account or if there’s issues!

Passion for enriching students
My experience with UOP was great. My professors presented data and examples that I can use to my day to day operations at work.
They took time to ensure I was grasping concepts and provided positive feedback and ensure that I was coming along good.
Professors were passionate about ensuring the students were up to date and current with tasks and willing to help catch you up if needed.
I rate a 3 because I wish there was…
I rate a 3 because I wish there was more interaction with classmates and teacher . What i mean by that is no live chats with zoom meetings with the class to go over assignments sometimes im lost and I can assure orhers have been to and waiting for a reply can take a week at times. But other then that its not a bad experience.

The professors were supportive
The professors were supportive. Curriculum was easy to follow. And the online access made it easier for me to follow my work and class schedule.
Brian from Financial Aid Services…
Brian from Financial Aid Services provided exceptional support during a very stressful situation. He took the time to clearly explain my options, advocated on my behalf, and ultimately helped resolve my account in a way I didn’t think was possible. His professionalism, transparency, and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference. This is exactly the kind of service that builds trust and loyalty. I’m incredibly grateful for his help.

The Instructors took time to help me when I had some difficulties with the assignments and answered my messages very quickly. I feel the material in these courses will help me when choosing a future career in IT.
If you want to just get the credits…
If you want to just get the credits done, this is the place for you. You will get a bs assignments, be forced to do group discussions, and are at the mercy of the professors if you turn anything late that’s not an individual assignment. Most of the graders because professor is a strong word are cool and laid back. Some like for example Jaime Dela Cruz are more anal and will be petty to those he dislikes and will interpret vague rules as he sees fit if slighted. For example he would accept a late individual assignment because policy say he has to ( he will make sure to find anything he can to argumentatively reduce the grade), while on the other hand he will refuse to accept a group discussion late just because it’s not covered by policy since it’s not an individual assignment. A system that allows this kind of grading that’s based on how a professor feels and not just an iron clad rule will sometimes cause turmoil between student and university.

They do not honor their discounts
I highly recommend looking for another school if you plan on using any of their military discounted rates. I was using their military spouse discount to take two classes I needed for my program. When I finished my classes I began to get email after email about not having paid for my classes. I called Phoenix and we settled it over the phone. A month later I continued getting emails, did the same thing and they said yeah, sorry about that you are good now just ignore those emails they are automated. Well now several months later I have a debt collector calling me saying I owe the cost of one of their classes. Just know that this school does NOT honor their discounts.

Making a difference

NRP/543: Management Of Pediatric And Adolescent Populations
Dr. Koenig created an engaging and highly effective learning environment in NRP/543: Management of Pediatric and Adolescent Populations. Prior to this course, the pediatric population felt very intimidating to me. My clinical background has primarily been in adult cardiac care, so pediatric medication dosing, developmental considerations, and communicating with both children and their parents were outside my usual scope and comfort zone.
Dr. Koenig’s teaching style made these complex topics approachable and interesting. He consistently incorporated real clinical scenarios from practice, which helped connect course concepts to real-world pediatric care. This practical approach made the material more meaningful and helped build my confidence in managing pediatric and adolescent patients.
What stood out most was his passion for pediatric medicine and his ability to create an interactive classroom environment. He encouraged discussion, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning, which made the course both enjoyable and highly educational. His enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to student learning were evident throughout the course.
I am incredibly grateful for the knowledge and perspective I gained in this class. Dr. Koenig’s expertise and teaching style helped transform what once felt like an intimidating area of practice into one I feel much more prepared to approach as a future nurse practitioner. This was a truly valuable learning experience.
A great place to grow and learn
I have a saying that I learned a long time ago. "People do not care how much you know. They want to know you care." That is why we succeed here, because they care.
I am currently taking A &P II
I am currently taking A &P II. I took A &P I from Geneva College, Portage Learning. The experience of Portage Learning was so much memorization, and the tests were essays. I feel like I consistently crammed and didn't retain any of it. With UoP, the classes are fun, interactive, and enjoyable. I feel like I am learning and retaining so much more. I highly recommend the classes; it's a great experience. The labs are videos where you actually interact in a simulated lab. It's really fun!! The discussion questions really teach me a lot about various topics related to anatomy. I have never been excited to attend a class before. I can't wait to come home from work and log on.
When I entered this phase of my life I…
When I entered this phase of my life I was terrified. Everyone from enrollment and academic counselors, to faculty, financing, and beyond had my back the entire time and helped me settle right in. Every professor challenged and supported me in so many ways. I really can't say enough good things about the teachers; they are easy to reach, extremely knowledgeable and approachable. I felt supported throughout the entire process. Oh, and getting to graduate in Vegas wasn't so shabby either LOL.
