What has happened to these tea bags, I have used pg tips for decades bit now having to change,
They are weak ! And less leaves per bag

PG Tips? More like PG shit! I have been drinking PG for more than 45 years. After moving to France some years ago I have stocked up upon each visit to the UK to be able to support the habit. However having recently used the last of the pyramid stocks I opened the latest box of the "new" square bags and shock horror what a total load of crap the taste is awful. I now have over a 1000 bags that are good only as fire lighters! Instant switch to "Yorkshire" well done PG management your company in heading for the sewer and you deserve it!

I decided to investigate online whether I had somehow mixed up a batch of cheap tea bags with PG tips when transferring them to caddies or whether other people had noticed a problem. I’d bought the cheap ones when no PG stocked. What on earth have you done to this historic brand? The water takes an age to change colour and the flavour is so weak it can barely be described as tea. Sadly I have a huge box to get through. It will be my last unless you return to your old blend. I’ve been drinking PG Tips for 65 years. So sad.

Another one here to say how PG tips has ruined their tea and in time, their reputation.
It's bland, tasteless and not worthy to be bought again..
Like other companies at this present time, they are coming up with nonsense reasons why they changed their tea.

The real reason is to save them money. Well, they won't have any after changing their teabags, nobody will continuing buying them.
Id love to know how they came up with this nonsense in the Boardroom, what clever souls they must be?!?!🤔😉

Very disappointed with the bland, weak blend PG Tips are now putting in their teabags. I thought I'd bought a cheap pack of catering grade ones, and foolishly bought another box, but they're the same. No longer in the iconic pyramid bag, so they take longer to infuse. But you need 2 bags to make a cup strong enough to enjoy - and even if you do, the fresh flavour and pleasant "high" of a good tea are totally absent.
This new blend reminds me of the giant generic catering bags my mum used to buy from the cash and carry.
Such a shame because they were my go-to tea, but I've now discovered there are some delicious premium brands available that are actually better than PG Tips used to be.
So you lost a lot of customers, it seems, and you're not getting us back. Some very bad choices in the marketing department.

I have been buying PG Tips for years but the last 4 boxes I have found the bags have holes in them so end up with tea leafs in my tea . The tea bags are not like they were even feel the taste is lacking.

210 box only contained 160 tea bags, scandalous misrepresentation to the consumer regarding product and value for money, will not be buying again

I haven been drinking PG Tips for about 40 years and have loved my tea but more recently have found (since the pyramid bag was changed) the the bags often split when dividing the twin bags on average about every 20 bags so in a box i loose a significant amount! Also the teas leaves are a lot more powdery which goes into the tea, not great.
I have emailed but no responce, very disappointing.
Hoping someone from the company might pick this up if not a lost customer, sad!

I recently discovered at a railway station that PG tips do a beautiful raspberry tea.
After searching for the product online I managed to buy some on Amazon.
HOWEVER, I was absolutely shocked at the complete waste of materials in each packet.
They are teabags not high maintenance mogadons, what a complete waste of materials putting each tea bag in a packet, adding string, adding a tag to the bag. WHY WHY WHY?
WHAT'S A COMPLETE WASTE OF UNNECESSARY MATERIALS.
The Raspberry tea speaks for itself, it DOES NOT require bells and whistles. In this case individual sachets, string and tags.
I've noticed a lot of people have complained about the biodegradable tea bags bursting in the PG range, however I am complaining about the tea bag tearing when opening an individual paper jacket that shouldn't be there .
There is no earthy reason why there has to be a string or a tag on a tea bag.
(Is it an asbo security tag)?!

What about disabled, partially sighted/blind or elderly people or anyone with arthritis?.
They want to pop a bag in a cup, not struggle, drop or have to ask for assistance.

Can these teabags be recycled in a home composter?
Imagine standing in the garden, cutting the strings and the tags, and seperating them into the correct recycling bins.

Big mistake.A better taste,absolute nonsense.And,yes the square bags BREAK OPEN!!! WHY CHANGE A SUCCESSFUL IDEA. Change for change sake...too much of this stupid policy in companies who should leave a good product as it is!!!

Used their decaffeinated tea for years.
Clearly time for a change.
2 boxes opened and guess what?
Tea everywhere over 50% of the bags have not been sealed properly.
Counted complaints department and no response.
Well you have no lost my customer support.
I’m clearly going for another brand here onwards.

Also going back to Tesco to get a refund.

Really fed up with the new tea bags, no flavour, no strength and the bags keep splitting, just got it all over me, not happy because P G Tips has always been my favourite tea.

My mum has thrown a whole box away because the bags split. She had tea everywhere. She has returned to Yorkshire Tea. PG Tips - Absolute rubbish!

Complete rubbish since they ditched pyramid tea bags. Awful taste and bags easily break. Will not buy again. Lost a lifelong customer.

One star is still too much. I thought something was wrong with my taste buds. Drinking p and g tips since the 80ies, no more. You managed to offend a german tea drinker, who would have thought - well done! Condolences to everybody

So very very disappointed - why? The blend has changed and is weak, and no pyramid shapes….honestly want a refund - why did you do this. An era has ended and you are responsible. Cannot continue with you

I remained a long-time customer even after leaving the UK and facing steep import prices of your brand but as many, many have written before me, your new bag and blend is just awful and for a second made me wonder wether I've caught COVID again. But no, this is truly the atrocious new "original flavour" you've concocted. After the third sorry cuppa I binned the lot and have since switched to Yorkshire Tea. Why not fix it? Everyone would celebrate you for a pivot away from this disgusting swill unworthy of the name tea.

Absolutely awful taste compared to the pyramid bags. What on earth have they done? Tastes terrible. Will be binning the rest and will now try another brand. Definitely won't buy again!

The new flat bagged PG Tips tastes awful. It has an after taste similar to that of black Chinese tea and is very strong. It is not the same and I am going to bin the two boxes I have bought and will look for my "old" PG Tips in other brands. Anyone out there, knows another brand that sells tea which tastes similar to the "old" PG Tips, I'd love to hear from you. RIP PG Tips! :(
