I was very nervous about buying an expensive book online not having any experience of the second hand book market. The service was excellent and Lucy's email responses increased my confidence. Very quick email response to my questions and the book was sent promptly after I placed the order. The gift wrapping is so lovely that I haven't actually opened it, as the book is a birthday gift for my husband in a few weeks time. I can't comment on the book but I'd be happy to complete another

The beautiful book and the efficient service made for a great experience. My daughter was thrilled with the beautiful gift box that indicated it came all the way from London for her birthday, and we had a lovely morning reading a story and looking at the Rackham illustrations, the book binding, and the thick paper. We could do that only because the book arrived in the States in two days. My daughter was so happy with her present.

Spoke to the staff a couple of times before the purchase. Chose to purchase online as the book was a 60th birthday gift and is insured during delivery.
The book was gift wrapped in a box with white ribbon and delivered on the day stated.
Pablo also arranged to have a gift card with message printed and inserted in the book.

Book arrived expertly wrapped, in pristine condition. Exactly as advertised. I fully trust them to handle rare and delicate items.

Prompt dispatch of the book. The downside was FedEx. Their tracking system got it wrong and they’re a nightmare to try and speak to. For deliveries to Australia, I would recommend going with a courier company that has a relationship with Australia Post so the parcel is dropped at a local post office if no one is home on the first attempt to deliver it.

I have purchased books from many fine bookstores, but I think Peter Harrington may be the finest seller from whom I’ve ever purchased. The inventory is just amazing and the customer service is second to none. Shipping to the United States is surprisingly fast which obviously is quite important when shipping rare books. The excellent professional packaging included a pamphlet on the storage and care of rare books which new collectors will appreciate and from which even seasoned collectors may learn something. I will be purchasing many more books here in the future!
