Not safe secure parking
I booked a park sleep fly hotel (Double Tree by Hilton) in Mississauga for parking for a week while out of town. I returned after my week to find someone attempted to steal my truck. The passenger side door was smashed and the wires pulled under the dash. I was told by front desk that they only have 1 camera at entrance to the parking garage, no cameras through the garage at all.
I booked with park sleep fly because it says on their website "safely park you vehicle" and "safe and secure parking at hotels". Nothing in my truck was stolen, even a dash cam. My truck was disabled when the window was broken so they weren't able to steal it, because of it being disabled my dash cam didn't record it, last recorded video was at 7:50am on January 30th so I know this is the time of the attempted theft. I also find it hard to believe no one noticed the window smashed from January 30th to my return on Feb 5th and didn't report it to the hotel, unless they just don't want to tell me.
The hotel said they are not responsible for any damage or theft of the vehicles left on their premises. The staff at the hotel when we returned was awesome, giving us a complimentary room and breakfast the next morning, although I ended up staying an extra night after this as nothing was open on a Sunday to fix my truck and I had to pay half price for the room.
As a result of this I will have to either pay a deductible of $1000 or pay to have it fixed myself, since the hotel is not responsible.
