I selected Pack & Load Services because they are listed on PODS as the "most experienced" option, paying nearly $900 for just over 3 hours of work. While the two laborers had great attitudes and worked hard, they were not the expert packers I was promised.

The Major Failures:

Ignored Safety Gear: I personally provided ratchet straps and moving blankets at the start of the job. None of the ratchets were used. When I pointed this out near the end, the crew simply told me it was "too late."

Violated Internal Protocols: Customer service later confirmed that crews are strictly required to rope off sections of the container and take photos. No rope was ever used, and no sections were secured.

Zero Post-Load Support: When a PODS driver warned me that an unrestrained load would jumble and potentially jam the door shut, I called customer service. I offered to delay my PODS pickup at my own expense if Pack & Load would send someone back out to secure the load. I was told they couldn't guarantee anyone would ever show up.

Ghosted by Management: I called multiple times. Two agents promised to escalate my safety concerns to management—no call back. I finally spoke with Sally, who transferred me to a supervisor's voicemail. My call was never returned.

The Resulting Damage: Because the load was completely unsecured, transit movement caused predictable, avoidable damage:

One wooden bookcase crushed beyond repair.
One bookcase backing destroyed (now only usable for storage).
Solid wood Pottery Barn buffet heavily scraped by unsecured items shifting on top of it.
Two lawn chairs ruined (plastic side locks sheared off).
A heavily marked "FRAGILE" box crushed, shattering the mosaic lamp bulbs inside.

I paid top-dollar for professional expertise to prevent exactly this scenario. Instead, I received a negligent load and refusal by management to communicate.

The guys were awesome! On time, very helpful, and quick. Plus, thy helped me set up our adjustable bed frame, which I was unsure of how to hook it back up. Worked like a champ! Highly recommended!

The team was efficient and quick. They got most of the items loaded easily. My only complaint was that we ordered wardrobe boxes and they were not used. I did not see a refund or statement correction for the materials ordered and not used. That was not good. Clothing was dumped into a box and subsequently they were very wrinkled.

Overall very happy with the team that loaded our PODS container. They arrived on time, took the time to look at what needed to be loaded, made a plan and got it loaded. Honestly, I don't think everything was going to fit, but they loaded it efficiently and carefully.

My Packers were fabulous. I had a lot of trouble with Pods. They totally understood and worked with me.
The company charged me twice.
The first time was legitimate. It was my pack and load to my pod container. My pod container was not big enough so they had to send another container. The Packers had to come back and move everything from small container to the large container. I totally expected this company to work with me and at least give me a discount for the mistake. Pods made. Yes I understand you did not make a mistake in the ordering of my pod. The fact is you charged me an entire pack and load fee for the second load which did not include any packing whatsoever. I'm very disappointed with this service from The company not from the Packers. I will never use your company again, and I will tell everyone how horrible you are cause you would not even give me a small discount for what happened. I believe you took advantage of the situation so you could make double the money bad business!

Sell, Move, Pack and Truk are all 4-letter words!
Thanks to your great team for making the move to be a positive experience. They arrived on schedule and went right to work. One of the best aspects was the skilled cooperation between the 3 workers - their leader had clearly trained his co-workers to work as a team.
Together they turned a 4-letter dread into a 5 star experience for us.

The guys were great! We had to load a truck, then drive to the PODS facility, then load the POD. They had a plan on how to load the truck so the back of the POS would be filled first. The estimate was 3 hours, but because of the drive to the PODS facility, it took 4 hours, but, still, I was very pleased with their work! I would hire them again!

This review is based in the two ends service.
Crews loading and unloading were very polite, efficient and punctual. They made their respective part inside the three hours mark. So far, so good.
However, team loading the container made important mistakes securing the furniture and boxes. Some big pieces moved and compressed each other towards the entrance. Fortunately, thanks to the quality of packaging no major damage occurred. We have pictures probing our point.
Unloading crew made a great job removing the goods avoiding any collapse. Many boxes (we had more than 120 items) were out of place, probably because they were not properly oriented.
In short, they missed the fifth star because the poor loading, but got at least four stars thanks to the unloading crew.
Still we recommend Pack & Load Services, it is a serious and professional organization.

Everything went as planned. The men were very polite and efficient.

The team that handled my packing was courteous, concientous, and most importantly professional. They cleary knew what they werre doing.

The three gentlemen we had were both professional and personable. They were focused on the job, very organized packers, and worked well together. The hourly rate was very reasonable. We could not have wished for a better company to work with. Highly recommended.

The moving team was great - on time, efficient, careful. I did not give 5-stars due to pricing and policy - 3 hr min when they were done in 90 min, extra $ for Sunday and 2nd flight of stairs. Especially as only 2 mattresses were needed on the 2nd floor - no dressers or other heavy furniture items. So, overall, more costly than anticipated.

Excellent movers that Moved my belongings to POD then my home. Courteous, pleasant and hard workers both times.

They arrived on time and were very polite. They introduced themselved and made sure they know what needed to be moved. They were very careful with the furniture and boxes. I was amazed at how quickly they moved everything.

The loaders fit way more furniture and boxes into the POS than I would have ever imagined. Both loaders were quick, skilled, and friendly. They were done in 4 hours. All in all it was a great experience with Pack and Load.

When I first called to hire a crew to load our POD, I spoke with Robert, who made our experience as pleasant as possible. He fully explained the details of the contract including the cost, knowing this was our First Rodeo. Robert was a true professional providing excellent customer service.

Jody & his partner were Excellent. They arrived on time to load our POD, and then gave us an assessment at our request whether the POD we had gotten was big enough for all of our furniture. He explained that it wasn’t. He told us what we should get as a second POD, & basically told us that they would load everything that was large & heavy.

They did a fantastic job loading our 16X8 POD. What was impressive was how careful they were loading our property. They were as professional as they come.

I highly recommend them to anyone needing a crew to either load or unload their furniture. My wife & I were Blessed dealing with both Robert & Jody. Again, We Highly Recommend Them to Anyone needing their services.

The crew was very efficient and kind. They treated our stuff as they would their own. Very satisfied with the service.

Charles and his team were fantastic. Extremely kind, friendly, and took such great care of my items! I'd love to see their Tetris scores because the way the packed the truck was truly amazing. I wish they could come across the country with me to help me move into my new place :)
