Oxfam GB Bewertungen

Brian and yoonis visited us today and while we couldn’t do a direct debit we have both made a one off donation. They were both charming and informative. We enjoyed our chat.

I had a visit from Anisha Begum and Isabelle Allegne, who door knocked asking for support for Gaza children on behalf of Oxfam. They were very professional and friendly in their presentation. It was good to know that such calibre of people work for Oxfam with enthusiasm, excitement and commitment. Both my wife and myself were happy with their visit.

Oxfam staff were fundraising door to door on my street. The two gentlemen were very polite and curteous, clearly passionate about the cause they were raising money for. Marc Baffoe-Bonnie and Nuur Hassan are an asset to Oxfam. Keep up the good work :)

Meeting Mumina and Ayma who volunteered for Oxfam was a pleasant surprise that left a lasting impression. Their enthusiasm and genuine eagerness to share information about Oxfam's mission were truly commendable.

They managed to convey the essence of Oxfam's work in a clear and concise manner, leaving me feeling informed and inspired. Many thanks!

Always there when justice needs to be prevailed over injustice, fights for the human rights, spread their arms to the one who needs support. Thank you.

Just had a visit from Fahad, who was very impressive and had a friendly, amiable approach. I've made a small donation because of him. Thank you Fahad and keep doing this amazing work, you really made a difference!

I am disappointed that Oxfam have a no dogs policy when these days you can go into the vast majority of shops and cafes .

Cannot really recommend for Black customers. The shop has a racist male staff member who will triple question you over whether you've paid for books after you've paid for them (and asked one female shop assistant to put them by for you). I left them there to further browse the store and buy MORE books. When I went back to the counter, the woman was gone and the man was there. Quizzing me three times as to whether I'd paid for them. He then admitted that a colleague already told them "someone had paid"....the subtext meaning he expected that someone to have been a white person and now he has to suspend belief and question the veracity of what his own colleague has said.
If you try to discuss it with their store manager, he'll do everything to protect "whiteness". You'll hear the hostility in his voice. White people do not want to deal with their own racism. They don't. They want to be racist in peace.
This should not be surprising. Google Oxfam racism for a fuller picture.
Oxfam is a fundamentally dishonest charity leeching off of the suffering of Black and Brown people in the Global South to fund mostly racist white people in shops and racist white INGO's.
They cannot change. Don't give them your money.
In response to Oxfam saying they're committed to being anti racist. They can commit all they want. It's clearly not working

Oxfam does NOT support Women if they SUPPORT RAPE!

"Woe to those who call good evil, & evil good!"
you support Hamas when you go against Israel!

I made my donation on 02/03/2024 and it was very straight forward, no problems.

Oxfam does great work.
I am a long standing admirer of all parts of their great work.

years of good work, reputation damaged by a very few bad apples, give them and the unfortunate of the world a break please,

Whether it is like this, making an online donation, or visiting their excellent charity shops and buying more biographies and books about history, or jazz and blues CDs, I've been a fan of Oxfam since the Oxford Committee shortened its name in the 1960s.

I try and help, even though I can't always afford it.

My husband has just received, completely out of the blue, emails and letter from Oxfam thanking him for supporting Oxfam. He has not signed up to support them, it is not a charity we would donate to, for various reasons. He has not donated to or purchased from their shops either. The letter is requesting he signs up for Gift Aid on his donations - the ones that he has NOT made.

Wonderful important work by a great charity

They are lovely people who help others in need. Love them as a charity.
