Once I learned how it works and how easy it was to use i would recommend the options card. I do feel it needs a few more outlets and shops to give a better choice.

I do not think this card is great
I do not think this card is great. Difficult to use. I tried to spend €250 on something in DID electrical... Went into the shop and realised I could only purchase things online with the vouchers. I bought x 3 (had to get three separate vouchers, €100, €100, €50) vouchers online that I could use in store , by using the options card. These took 5 days to arrive. I couldn't order what I needed online as I was using another voucher and credit card to make a large purchase and there was no option for multiple payment options online.
I had a swirl gift card which was much easier to use and more user friendly.
I would not recommend the options card and I do not think there are enough stores to choose from. Also some vouchers are online only and not for use in store which is a nuisance .

Sorry that you had a poor experience. On 4 occasions when choosing DID electrical it says "For online use only - cannot be spent instore". Frustrating I know, but they don't have the technology for instore virtual cards yet - we still support them as they are a great local Irish retailer and that's important. The 3 in-store vouchers that you bought from DID that took 5 days to arrive were directly from DID and nothing to do with OptionsCard - we can't take responsibility for that.
More options of store more better.
Its easy to access but I hope you will have lot of options for store specially in restaurant..

Desperate Currys Experience- you have to go into…
Currys Experience- you have to go into Currys and buy what you are looking for with your own card. Wait for it to arrive and then they refund you . Crazy set up, no value to this card at all. Really annoyed and would never use this card again.Even the staff at Currys are giving out about it

This is a Currys issue, probably best posted to their listing. The Currys gift card, as clearly stated, is only usable for in-store purchases. So if you are buying a product not available in-store and waiting for delivery as you describe, the store assistants have clearly been super helpful and made it work for you. Annoying for you, but obviously an exceptional circumstance.

WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND AT ALL. None of my work colleagues liked them. So much time needed to figure out how to actually get a voucher.......Passport numbers, form filling online etc......we got Perks cards last year.......a simple physical card that can be used anywhere......so much more user friendly.

Sounds like you choose a prepaid debit card from the range of 73 different nationwide gift card choices available. Verifying your identity is law when it comes to e-money - sorry about that.

OptionsCards are delivered instantly by email upon payment. Add an OptionsCard to your wallet with a single click from your order email or from the "add to wallet" button when you check your balance on the the website. That way its always with you to use when you are out and about and it always shows your available balance.

Activating a card is only required if you chose a prepaid debit card from the catalogue of 70+ gift cards available. In that instance, anti-money laundering regulations mean that you must verify you are real, and in Ireland, by entering a code from SMS and clicking a link from an email.
Lack of options 😕
The places listed as partners aren't places that would interest me to spend the voucher and then trying to covert it a card to add to a digital wallet is to much hassle.a pre loaded master card is 100 times better than the hassle

There are 70+ nationwide brands such as Tesco, Lifestyle Sports, BookTokens, Brown Thomas, Aldi, Pennys, Playstation, TK Maxx,.... and a digital MasterCard. Oh, and you can donate to charity too. Sorry it wasn't for you.

Friendly & attentive service They have…
Friendly & attentive service They have upped their CS response time, which is notable. Last year we had a question and it took a over week to get a reply. Now it's more like hours (or maybe even minutes). So that's a welcome improvement.
The technology and purchasing flow is easy to use. Will be using optionsCard again in the future for staff gifting / bonuses. I love what they are doing here, and I'm happy to recommend them.

Love this product!
I received an Optionscard from my work a few weeks ago and swapped it for a Brown Thomas voucher. Loved how quickly the email came through and there was no holding up the line at all!
I now plan on gifting my friends OptionsCards for Christmas to save time and money shopping!
