Oliviada ripping off freelancers
The owner of Oliviada weighted blankets reached out to me to create some content at an hourly rate. The business owner is now refusing to pay for the hours worked and despite multiple negotiations to attempt to resolve this civilly, including me waiving extra time spent on this project. She has also threatened to take me to small claims court claiming the project isn’t finished but not wanting to pay for any extra hours to complete the project. She has stated that she is not intending to pay at all. Would not recommend - this is not how a small business should operate.

Throughout the process, we communicated respectfully, sought to resolve the matter fairly, and proposed a formal resolution, which remains available.
As a small, purpose-led business run by a solo mum, integrity matters deeply to me. I remain committed to treating both customers and creators with fairness, professionalism, and respect.
