My care support worker ordered a mattress topper last summer for me as I suffer with a bad back and according to the advert it’s super supportive etc I thought it would help my spine, it’s had the opposite effect as within a couple of months it had dipped in all the supposedly ‘supportive’ places. Despite turning it on a monthly basis. I weigh 9st 7 and I’m 5 ft 7 so it’s not like I’m overweight. I’m really disappointed with the quality. I contacted dormeo in April 2025 (approx 8 months after purchase) regarding this issue and I’m still sending pictures in of labels and levels to show the dips. Terrible customer service. I’m the advert it states it can be used on the floor yet I’ve got a decent mattress underneath but they want pictures of the mattress it’s on! Don’t waste your money! There’s no octa anything just a piece of blue piece of sponge! I Would also love to know how they advertise a high trustpilot rating on their website? They cite 5 star ratings!! False advertising???

I know we have been in a heatwave but found the topper very hot. Organised collection with some difficulty and different messages...Collection cost £45!!!! But have no room to keep it. Made in Poland not UK ..that's not a problem though.

After sales on return and refund very good though....just exhoribitant cost for return.

Well, after reading reviews, all I can say is I'm glad I cancelled my order. i'd bought a new bed, minus mattress. Heard a lot about Dormeo and how good they apparently were, so decided to order one. Was given a delivery date, but when that arrived, no mattress. Contacted them, given another date, yet again a no show. And this meant I couldn't sleep in my new bed, without a mattress. So phoned to cancel. Reason given for non delivery, 'we were too busy.' Then don't give a date, if your not sure you can deliver. Did get a refund, though. Made sure of that. And bought a different brand. And now I thank my lucky stars that I didn't get the Dormeo one. And my advice to those who have had their mattress or topper only weeks or months and can't get a refund, seek legal redress. Dormeo give a long guarantee period and should honour it. Furthermore, if the goods are faulty, they should collect for free. Perhaps a complaint to Advertising Standards Authority wouldn't go amiss, too, as from the sound of it, their guilty of false advertising. Never again would I consider Dormeo. Furthermore, I can't help noticing that Dormeo haven't responded to any reviews. Wonder why?

Started out fine but soon had large dips and bulges where we slept. Couldn't turn it over because of cover, so took cover off for cleaning and turned mattress over. All the insides moved towards the middle so got worse. Tried to turn it back after a while and it seemed like there was just a sponge sandwwich filled with lumps of foam. Danger of rolling off the bed so off to buy a new mattress but not from Dormeo.

I paid £159 for the Dormeo Octasmart single topper……bad mistake! It was initially okay but after 4-6 weeks it became uncomfortable so I investigated further. I unzipped the cover and all I saw was some bog standard blue foam, definitely not memory foam. All Dormeo have done is get 20 quids worth of foam and put it in a fancy “Dormeo “cover, so initially nice and firm and you think great then it just becomes a “sponge”!
I wrote to let them know my dissatisfaction and eventually after many emails and phone calls they agreed I could get a refund, I could send it back myself or they would send a courier to “pack” and collect it, as I’m disabled and old I took the latter option although there would be a deduction of £45 for this service which I wasn’t too pleased about as this was within the 200 day returns period. So the fact the topper is inferior and within the 200 day returns period I have to pay for the privilege! Skip for to day of courier collection, two men arrive and say they’ve come to collect a mattress, they were delighted when I said it was just a topper! The paperwork they had said Large Mattress. Thinking they would pack and wrap one guy picked it up and literally I watched as he just threw it in the back of his van, o wrapping, no packing! This was closely followed by y one guy asking me if I could write a review for them!
So today I received my refund less £45 for a piece of total rubbish DO NOT BUY DORMEO TOPPERS!

with in 2 weeks it was like sleeping in a bloody hole its all bumps and lumps no support from dormeyo do not buy ive waisted money giving it to the DOG

My mattress topper was not correct length I got a king size which was 6 inch short. I contacted dormeo and they would not honour warranty stay away from dormeo.

Thanks for the reviews (although negative) Now I know. Close call - Phew ! LATER:How can this company go on advertising this allegedly substandard product ? The review stars should be posted alongside the commercial.I’d advise anybody who has concerns to get in touch with Trading Standards without delay !

What a waste of money! It doesn't stay still, by the morning half the topper is hanging over the edge of the bed! The reason I tried it is because the advertising states try it for 100 nights and if you're not happy you can return it for 100% refund. LIES LIES LIES! Yes you can return it, but the return will cost you £50. The topper cost £99... so what's the point in returning it?
Now I have a large sponge to dispose of and a new mattress to save for!

Have had a dormeo mattress before with no complaints but this is a new level of uncomfortable. My hips are aching every morning and I have dips on both sides of the mattress after rotating. After reading reviews there is no point in trying to return. Avoid at all costs

Octasmart mattress, strong smell which did subside eventually. Unfortunately so did the mattress! At both sides where you body weigh is after a few months sunk and lost its memory. 400 quid wasted on a mattress that only lasted a few months. Save a bit more money and buy a different brand.

The mattress arrived five weeks ago but we didn’t start using it until one week ago. The reason was because of the smell. It was as if the mattress had been washed, then shrink wrapped before it had dried. We had to keep the window open in the room where it was stored because it smelt so unpleasant. If it hadn’t been for reading how you are charged to return the mattress we would have sent it back immediately. Instead we decided to wait and hope the smell would subside enough to put it in our bed. One month later it had.

The mattress is comfortable to lay on but it most definitely isn’t worth the £120 we paid for it. It is basically a piece of foam with a cover on it. A price tag of £30 would have been nearer the mark. We feel ripped off and disappointed with the mattress. If you are considering purchasing one, our advice is don’t bother.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!! ABSOLUTE CON! Mattress I bought has a dip in the middle within a couple of months of purchase. Emailed customer services, wanted lots of pics, which I sent, then said their investigation thinks there's nothing wrong with it, if you want to get a private professional to check it out, then do so. Who's gonna do that?! And where would I find one? There's a million adverts on tv about this mattress and it's very long guarantee etc
What a joke! There's no guarantee, cos they won't pay out or exchange! They just want your money! So now I have a double mattress which is faulty and can't use it!!! Feel like reporting them to Martin Lewis!!!!

Bought this mattress a couple of years ago. There is now a massive ridge in the middle of this mattress.
It's now really uncomfortable to try and sleep on this. I have turned the mattress according to the instructions but it's like sleeping on concrete with a tilt to both sides. Definitely would not recommend this product at all.

I have been trying for months now to get a refund following a dip occurring in my very uncomfortable Dormeo octasmart topper. Poor quality, no support and terrible customer service. I have sent all the photos I have been asked for plus photos of the all labels on the topper have got No where what is the point of a guarantee! I have noticed other reviews with the same problem . Expensive usless product !!!

Months on and now Dormeo are telling me to get the topper assessed independently at my own cost !!!!. Utter waste of more money . They just ignore any points or complaints raised in your e mails . I have now taken the topper off my bed it is so uncomfortable. I am glad to see other people sharing their complaints

I bought the octasmart essentials mattress a couple of years ago. I emailed the company in regards to a massive dip in one side, but had no response!! I rotated it every week but it was not making any difference! I noticed after a while that where I slept was extremely hot. I have long term health conditions and thought by buying this mattress would help with my back/leg pain, BUT how wrong I was!!!!!! I wouldn’t advise anyone to get one of these mattresses! They are complete rubbish!!! I now have had to purchase a different mattress without memory foam!! They should “cease” advertising them as the best thing since brown bread!!!

I don’t know what to say other than dreadful mattress , me and my wife are both of healthy weight yet with 8 months the bed has sunk creating dips on both side , turning the mattress is a pointless exercise just moving 1 dip for another , for the cost of this is highly advise you look for another manufacturer, utter rubbish low quality, I wish I hadn’t bought it , more than that best advise I can give and what I should of done was research reviews before you buy

Bought the octosmart mattress topper from dormeo . Stinks looks lumpy the whole topper looks like it's come out a lucky bag . But the worst thing is the smell and the quality .
Rang them was told to email there custlmer service team. Still waiting a reply . Shocking product and worse customer service
