Unconscionable. OCOOPA sold hand warmers (including model ZLS-118S) with a lithium-ion battery defect serious enough to trigger a CPSC recall of 1.5 million units — 1,480 overheating reports, 15 fires, 350 burns, and one death.

Instead of owning it, they built a recall process that is arduous by design. Before you're even allowed to safely dispose of a device that can burn your house down, you have to provide proof of purchase, your order number, and photos of the front and back of the unit. Then after all of that, the submit button on the final step simply doesn't work. No error, no confirmation, nothing. After putting a fire hazard in customers' hands, the response is a broken form standing between them and their money and their safety. That's not a bug. That's a company betting people will give up.

And this "North America headquarters" they advertise? It's a rented suite in a shared coworking building — not a real, accountable operation, just an address for the website.

If you own one of these, stop using it now. If you're trying to get your refund, expect a fight. This company does not deserve your trust, your money, or a second chance.

Defective product. Very cumbersome return process. These products can start fires. I spend 20 minutes working on the return process and realized it might take me another hour. I gave up.

I bought one for my daughter and one for myself. I liked it just fine, but just got this product recall notice from Amazon.

I ordered Ocoopa 2024 UT4 Extreme Launch Came in 4 days to Melbourne no problems yet

Purchased these from Amazon. One warmer worked fine. The other, when fully charged only worked to a third of the warmth, so I asked for a replacement which was swiftly provided (thus the 2 stars rating). The second set of warmers arrived with the exact same problem. Refund issued. Not buying again.

Terrible. I should have read more reviews and just shopped local. I’ve emailed twice to follow up on my order and still have no confirmation that I will receive the UT2s I purchased.
Have to try get a refund now as I have zero confidence I will receive my order.

I purchased some hand warmers from Ocoopa on eBay. They stopped working within a couple weeks. I returned them and Ocoopa lied to eBay telling them that they tested the hand warmers and that they were working. This is completely false. Ebay reduced the return amount taking Ocoopa's word for it.

Hi bought heaters less than 3 months ago at first thought they were super but after 2 months one of the heaters lasted only 2hrs contacted Ocoopa regarding this as well under warranty they were not interested they said they test heaters at 21° so in winter environments this was OK stay away from this Chinese company

Oplaadbare handwarmers besteld. Snel en goed geleverd. Mijn man, door neuropathie heeft hij snel koude handen, heeft ze direct uitgeprobeerd. Hij is heel tevreden. De handwarmer is direct warm, biedt een comfortabele warmte.

Just bought the ocoopa ut3 pro hand warmer. I have ranauds disease so my hands are always cold and go white. I went out last night turned them on and OMG. Within seconds they warmed up and I have never had warm hands whilst out. They have 4 settings, I had them on one. They warm up and the temperature cools slightly then warms up again, so they don't burn your hands. Truly amazing. I walked for about an hour, when I got back home my wife couldn't believe I actually had warm hands. This is a first for me. Well done guys. I'm definitely a convert. Thanks so much

Don't get me wrong, great products (had a couple in the past) however absolutely abhorrent customer service. Asked what product would be best for my use case (gave my use case) and they proceeded to say "can't help as each product is different." They're literally all hand warmers with no spec sheets on the actual page. This is pathetic help and after a lot of dreadful back and forth; I decided on a pair with no help. Only to find out they don't deliver to Australia. Upon reporting this, they apologised but offered no support stating "we can't offer free shipping in Australia" and when I clarified that they won't support me because I'm from Australia, they stopped responding. Utterly trash customer service. Wish they had contenders in the field so I could purchase their products.

Worked for a year, won't work next winter, less than 2 weeks past the one year warranty period. Do not purchase.

I bought two OCOOPA 118D Double Side Heating Electric Hand warmers. The thermostats in both are all over the place but when they get hotter & hotter even switching to a low setting still risks your skin being scalded/burnt!!! I contacted Ocoopa who were about as interested in my issue as I am about net zero. They refused to accept this was a fault but simply told me to put them in the pouch they came with. This is surely just a pocket with draw string to keep them in when not in use. Anyway Ocoopa have dreadful customer service for their response. They are made in China which explains the poor quality. 1 Star for product & Ocoopa the UK company.

I ordered two for upcoming trips to Nebraska in the winter and to Antarctica in six months. These are absolute garbage: they won't charge at all and I never got a single use out of them. I went online for tips, such as trying different outlets and different charging cords, but nothing worked. I'm really annoyed, but you can learn from my experience and don't buy this garbage.

Update: I contacted the company. If you don’t have a receipt, you’re out of luck. Unfortunately I’m not a person who saves every receipt from every purchase I make.

These people are not to be trusted. Ordered and received hand warmers but did not like them.
Promptly returned them within the return period and never heard from them again.
They got both my money and the product.

I had a liitle trouble with the on/off buton off one off the handwarmers. I mentioned it on there website and they send me a brand new pair, koodoo’s well done Ocoopa

Wat een geweldige service. Ik had zelf een fout gemaakt met bestellen. Maar Ocoopa Arcecheat heeft dit zeer genereus opgelost. Ik geniet nu van heerlijk warme handen tijdens het jeu de boulen.

I’ve had the same problem- ordered November 29 and have not received anything. No update

I placed an order for the hand warmers on October 27th. Today is December 2nd, and I still haven't received them. For the past 10 days, I have communicated back and forth to figure out when I will have them, and they are blaming the logistics department and putting me on hold. I have asked for my money back for a week now, and they keep stalling me and telling me to wait. They are HORRIBLE!
I hope to get my money back.

Ik heb 2 paar handverwarmers besteld. Deze zijn niet aangekomen. Na veel gedoe moest ik zelf het logistiek centrum bellen. Die zeiden dat mijn adres onbekend was. Deze heeft ocoopa goed van mij ontvangen (moet je ook allemaal invullen bij bestellen) en hadden ze nog gecheckt!
Nu moet ik retourkosten betalen en nieuwe verzendkosten als ik ze nog wil. Als ik ze niet wil, dan gaan de retourkosten van mijn restitutie af.
Ze blijven maar drammen dat ik het logistiek centrum moet bellen terwijl ik al zeker 8x heb gezegd dat ik dat al heb gebeld! Dat de handverwarmers terug zijn!
Mega frustrerend en niet te geloven dat dit echt zo gaat. Heel gek ook, want je denkt dat het een goed bedrijf is!
