Moving is never easy, but I know I was at ease with Northern Moving Systems! After packing up our apartment and driving it halfway across the country, I was never worried about our belongings and was in constant contact with the driver of his whereabouts. Worst moving company you could choose
Worst moving company. Did the bait and switch pricing that you see online. Had a zoom call week before move. They saw EXACTLY what I had yet day of move they upped the price 7k because 38% more items than initially figured. While my entire house on the street and in their truck. Gave them earliest move in date. Their dispatch called twice to move up date. Both times told them what the earliest date was. Both times they said that date would be fine. Night before date delivery foreman calls to say it might be Tuesday, or it might be Wednesday, or it might be Thursday, but most likely Tuesday or Wednesday. Complained to customer service who contacted dispatch which said that I can't complain if it's 1-2 (actually 3) days after the date. I'm the f-ing customer overpaying for their terrible service. I have every right to complain about it. I've let the national real estate company that partners with them know exactly how their customers are treated

We sent you the list and asked you to confirm it. You added additional inventory once we arrived to perform the service. The normal delivery time frame was five to 18 business days to get your goods delivered, but we delivered them in four days. We're not sure what we could have done in this case to better serve you. They got everything moved very quickly and with no issues! It was also very appreciated how they checked in several times leading up to the moving date to make sure they had all the correct information.

Moving is never easy
Moving is never easy. I have very heavy furniture and experience is required to successfully manage. All furniture was wrapped well, loaded, unloaded and installed with no damage. Boxes packed with care and the crew worked extremely well together. I feel that they treated me with respect and did all that I ask. I highly recommend them and will use them for any future moving needs.

I was very apprehensive about our move after having had some difficult past experiences. I cannot thank Christian and John enough for working with me patiently. They listen to all of my concerns and addressed them completely. I had two separate video walk-throughs with immediate written confirmation of a knot to exceed estimate which matched my expectations for the move. I shared concerns about paying in cash and they helped me arrange credit card payments.
On moving day, both of the movers were incredibly courteous and supportive. Kudos to Joseph who was in charge of that team! They were very good at their job and clearly had expertise in moving and packing belongings. Similarly, the mover who delivered my belongings was courteous and efficient. I am grateful for such a positive moving experience.

Read Completely....before you make the same mistake I did.
I search for reputable companies to move my family from Florida to Pennsylvania. Some how these guys came up. Was initially contacted by a guy named Jordan. We went through the process and he connected me with a video chat person who walks thru the house with you to make an inventory list...basically, I showed them every square inch of my home and property going on the move.
Next...comes the quote and Jordan jumped back on a call to quote based on the inventory list he sent. It was incredibly incomplease..."Don't worry, we have everything on video" he says. He gets paid the deposit and then I never hear from him again. No answers to calls, texts or emails. Finally I get thru to someone who says he left on personal reasons.
Another guy contacts me...Named Will, a few days before moving day who confirms my packing list...upcharges me a grand or so for items not on the list. I tell him it's all on video...doesn't matter. I'm in for another grand. Not choice at this point.
Moving day...a truck shows up with the name All Moving Relocation LLC....priceless huh? Two guys come into the house. Barely speak English...and we sign papers and I'm told I have to pay in cash or postal money order....Jordan said it would be ok to pay credit card (a lie) they take a credit card for half of my bill and tell me cash when they unload me in pennsylvania. I say ok and run to my bank to get the money on moving day to take with me. LOL....it keeps getting better. A third guy shows up and they all go to work packing me. an hour in, they ask me where the 3rd guy went...I have no clue. I guess he left the job because he wasn't getting paid enough. lol...so now these two guys are there ALL DAY....I need to be out by 1 as I explained weeks previously. Got out around 5pm.
The final items out of my home were attached OUTSIDE the truck on the lift gate...all strapped to the handles of the truck. Beverly Hillbillies style.
I head north to my new home and wait....and wait...nobody returns calls. Some lady named Agathe seems pissed I would ask when my stuff would actually arrive at my new home. "It's a process." She says. "when I know...you'll know." Exactly what you love to hear when moving across country.
Following Sunday...get a call...guys says he will be there next morning at 8am. So I cancel my day at work. Make sure my wife and I are there and they arrive...late of course. Not at all surprised to see an enterprice rental box truck backing in my driveway. Two more guys jump out...have me unloaded pretty quickly as I have them put boxes in the garage....along the way, my wife and I notice countless items damages:
Stainless STeel Fridge with dings galore on it-$2300
Desk with corner damage-$750
Broken Racks for Storage-$150
Broken Bureau-$700
Broken end Table-$700
Broken Dresser-$750
Damaged mountain bikes-$1500
Broken Chandelier in my home-$500
Broken Table in kitchen-$500
multiple fragile items destroyed-$1000
I was told to make a claim and then the fun really began....the online process is pitifully complicated and confusing...
I make a review and get a call from some guy negotiating the damage claim on my behalf...tells me he needs a few weeks but I need to take my review down while he files it...which I do....
Then, I run into an insurance tidbit of info saying I'd get 30 to 60 cents a pound on damage....my $2500 fridge weighs maybe 250 pounds....so I'd get a whopping $100 bucks.
I'm out. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CLOWNS!!!
I see Northern Moving has replied with a load of absolute BS and Lies about what I said to them in my verbal and written communication. I sure hope you can read thru the crap and make the right decision on your moving company.
You will notice a comment from Northern that sounds all nice and cozy. They initially posted some really nasty stuff, calling me a liar, that I said things I didn't and now this comment below months later? PLEASE!!!

Quick, smooth, and friendly
The movers themselves were great! Very prompt, quick, and friendly. The only minor hiccups came from the management/logistical side of things. The movers were only given the first pickup address, not the second pickup address or the drop-off address, so there was some minor confusion with that but it all got resolved. Overall a great, smooth experience. Shoutout Armando and Alex!

Our move was great and experience was great with Northern moving systems. They were very flexible with their days for us and were able to come on our desired days. Day of the move the team showed up at the time they said they would be there. The team was professional and courteous. The move went swift and all the items were packaged as if they were packing their own. It really made the transition into our new house a breeze! Highly recommend!
