Crap communication and customer care
After having my solar panels fitted and the scaffold company working on behalf of NGH broke my door frame back in Oct 24 I’ve still not had this fixed and with numerous called and emails sent, with them saying they will get someone to call me. I then hear nothing for weeks, I’ve now resulted to trying to call them back to either the number 08000831000 not working or when it does it says 2 callers waiting for about 30 mins and then cuts out.im now having to look at getting this fixed myself and not only losing money but having to clean the mould resulting from this.
Northern gas heating 0 star
This company would not even get 1 star. I’ve had a service man turn up, treat my house like he could do what he wanted and then spend 2 minutes here and go having not serviced it and then when you want to complain its oh why would you want to do that.
I booked a service recently and Steve gave me a date and a time that they would be there between, it came to the date and nobody turned up, they still owe me 4 services which I paid for with the boiler.
Don’t use this company and don’t be referred by ovo energy.
Out of business?
As per previous reviews I think Northern Gas Heating have quietly gone out of business.
I had a prepaid boiler service booked with them in January, having been put off multiple times over several months because "the engineer for your area is off sick". The appointment was missed, I received no contact and now cannot get through on their phone number although the automatic reply on it is still working.
Looking at previous reviews with the same experience it seems to me that they went under some time last year, when they were still answering calls but fobbing customers off with the sick engineer story.

The contact telephone number is still live but They do not connect you when you press an option. I had a 10 year service plan and was due a service November/December 25 but was told the Engineer covering Essex, was off sick and they would contact me when he get back to work. I still have two services due out of the ten. When you ring there is always four people in front of you doesn't matter how long you stay on the line the number doesn't go down and after 30 minute the line goes dead.

They would not contact any local engineers in my area only stating that once their engineer returned to work they would reschedule an appointment.
Absolutely disgusting the way they have abandoned customers.
In June of this year their operative…
I June of this year their operative came to perform my final gas boiler service. On reassembling the Magna clean filter,he cross threaded the nut,causing water to spill out with some force. It took him 30 minutes to stop this,at which time all my clothes in the cloakroom were soaked and water hah leaked into my hallway,soaking the carpet. He left me without heating and warm water overnight as he needed a part to fix the problem. He came back the next afternoon and replaced the part,leaving immediately. No testing was carried out.
Yesterday,15/09/25 ,I put my central heating on for the first time since the ,so called,service. After 90 minutes the radiators were barely aired. I contacted a chap called Steve stating the problem. He said I was now out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. Disgraceful service from this company . I had to dry clean my clothes and wet vac the carpet as well as use a dehumidifier. I made no claim against the company for this and now they say they cannot help me. I’m absolutely fuming at this treatment and will be seeking legal advice as I paid for their 10 year service plan which,in my opinion,should be done under a warranty.
SUPERFOIL INSULATION
I made an honest and adverse post about the use of Superfoil Silver Paper Insulation Foil Paper in roof loft spaces.) They meaning someone from this company disputed my assertions it was poor value and he posted this reply from Lewis Richardson, either the owner or an employee from this company who said posted/quote: 'Did my loft, when finished you could actually feel the heat from the light bulb 😳 amazing stuff'. This is B.S, and a fake exaggerated review for Superfoil Silver Paper from someone who should know better.

Really efficient install
Really efficient install, 10 panels, battery and consumer unit installed. Very polite, not too demanding on our time and able to work by themselves. Tidied up at the end. I would have given 5 stars but - we had to reschedule when I had already planned leave to assist.

They were professional, friendly, and customer-focused I was very parodied about this whole solar after they came and installed every thing I was over the moon I can not thanks them both enough for they work.
Pathetic Mis-management
I arranged for Norther Gas Heating (NGH) to come and service my gas boiler between 0800 - 1200 on 23/06/2025. I paid £79.99 and arranged vfor a friend to take a half day off work to l;et their engineer into the house.
After 1100 NGH contacted me to advise they would not be providing the prmised service as the "engineer had called in sick". Thy offered me asn alternative date but as the exact same thing had happened last year I refused and requested a refund , which was promised within 14 days.
It is now 23/07/2025 and i have not yet received that refund and am unsure if I ever will.
