I reached out to Nomads Embassy in early November 2024. I had done my research about Digital Nomad Visa for Portugal but had a few questions. Even though a lot of information is available on the internet much of it is unreliable or outdated. I did an introductory call with Brittany who first understood my requirements and provided me with details on the Portugal visa. She also provided me with alternatives that aligned with my requirements. I was also provided with an option to do a sync call with a lawyer in Portugal who would handle my case. After careful consideration and armed with new information provided by Brittany, I decided to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa for Spain. Brittany setup a call with a lawyer in Spain for an introduction and things were smooth sailing from there onwards. Max, their Spain immigration lawyer took over the reigns of my application and provided support all along the way until my application was successfully completed. It is a delight to write this review from Madrid.

Absolutely appalling service. Brittany is rude and arrogant in her demeanor when contacting them, they seem to be fast to act like they show that I weren’t eligible for the service in black and white in my petition.
Total ignorance and lack of empathy and respect. Run by a bunch of charlatans. Blocking me on Facebook because of a bad review not to be trusted as they manipulate their success stories hypnotising their clients to make fake good reviews. AVOID AVOID!

I’ve been a digital nomad for 10y now, and I’ve had to deal with many visas, rental agreemnts, and document translations during my travels. Some I applied for alone, and for others I hired a lawyer.

Living in 16 countries and spending a lot of time dealing with paperwork and talking to lawyers from all over the world, I can say I’ve gained some experience with immigration and bureaucracy.

Then, I purchased a 1H consultation with the lawyer they selected for me, so I could decide whether to move forward or not. Finally, the done-for-you service, where I had Mr. Thiago impeccably working on my case for over 6 mths.

By myself, I am sure the process would have taken between 8 to 12 mths of overcomplicated red tape. (Like it happened in the past)
With Thiago, all I had to do was gather my documents, apostille and translate some papers, and then wait to get approved.

The Nomads Embassy's resources on their website are easy to digest on the website and also transparent. I emailed to make more inquiries about the best nomad program that fits my current salary, they send me many options and the feedback came as fast as possible without waiting for so long.

Brittany referred me to a lawyer Pedro, who helped file my application. Despite the few bumps I ran into along that road, i was finally able to make it to Portugal.

As you know immigration lawyers could be very busy and therefore, you may wanna be as patient. it took me roughly 8.5 ~ 9Months to get my VISA. It was all worth it, stressful but worth it.

At first i thought nomads embassy is some kinda scam, but from the get go, when chose to make payments via pay pal, i winded up getting charged, as the link they sent me automatically sets up paypal to do automatic payments, since i couldn't pay all the amount in one go, but i didn't notice i had scheduled payments, and manually made other payments along, which resulted in duplicate charges. Brittany was very decent, refunded the money on-spot as soon as that came to her attention. That gave me so much faith in them.

I had a few callswith Pedro to discuss the situation, the documents required, and the road ahead. He was very helpful, clear, and honestly one of the most decent lawyers I dealt with. The only issue with Pedro, is that he tends to take his time when doing things, but overall, I am very happy to have met him.

My residency is not yet sorted, due to issues with SEF .. etc (Pedro would tell you more, if your case is assigned to him and his team.

Nearly nine months ago, my girlfriend and I entrusted Nomads Embassy with €3,200 to facilitate our Croatia digital nomad visa applications. We aimed to move to Europe by summer 2023 and believed that their expertise would streamline our process, ensuring no delays in our relocation plans. Despite initial skepticism – fueled by a lack of verifiable client testimonials – we were swayed by their explicit 6-month money-back guarantee, as stated on their website and personally reaffirmed by the owner, Jacopo. This guarantee promised a full refund if a visa wasn't secured within six months.

When we first spoke to their lawyer, we were told that we were the first clients referred by Nomads Embassy, a statement which Nomads Embassy later firmly denied. This discrepancy raised early red flags that we unfortunately overlooked at the time.

Initially, we were reassured by their lawyer, who confidently claimed that the process would take only 3 months, possibly even 2. This timeline aligned perfectly with our plans. However, as the weeks turned into months, with our inquiries met only with vague responses about waiting on government feedback, our confidence waned. Our visa situation in Thailand was expiring, and we found ourselves in a precarious state of limbo due to these unforeseen delays.

Now, after 9 months of empty promises and stalled progress, our patience has reached its breaking point. Our repeated requests for a refund, as per their stated policy, have been met with evasion and the introduction of nonexistent terms to deny our rightful claim. Jacopo's lack of response, coupled with his habit of redirecting communication through the lawyer, further fuels our suspicion about the legitimacy of our application – a process we now realize could have been easily managed independently.

The most distressing aspect of this ordeal is not just the significant financial loss but the emotional toll of living in uncertainty, having to reschedule our relocation plans twice with no end in sight. It's alarming to think that Nomads Embassy, led by Jacopo, continues to operate with such blatant disregard for their clients and their commitments.

I urge you to take my experience as a cautionary tale. The hollow assurances and unfulfilled promises from Nomads Embassy have not only cost us financially but also robbed us of valuable time and peace of mind in our relocation journey. Please consider this before making any decision to engage with them.

And don't be misled by the fake positive reviews. The majority of 5-star reviewers have only one review on their profile, raising questions about their authenticity.

UPDATE (Dec 15th):
In response to Jacopo's recent claims, it's important to provide an update and clarification. Jacopo's statement regarding their commitment and actions taken to expedite our visa process, while appreciated, have not led to any tangible progress in our case. The mention of rush notes and continued communication does not negate the fact that we are still awaiting a resolution after 9 months, far beyond the initially promised timeline.

The assertion that our changing plans contributed to the delays is misleading. These changes were a direct result of the extended processing time, not a cause of it. It's disheartening to be portrayed as attempting to manipulate the process, when, in reality, we have been reacting to the situation created by these delays.

Furthermore, the claim of seeking a refund just before potential approval misconstrues our intention. Our request for the refund is rooted in the extended, uncertain nature of the process, contradicting the original 6-month guarantee.

While Jacopo expresses understanding of the complexities involved in immigration processes, this understanding has not been reflected in effective communication or adherence to their own policies. We respect their efforts but remain deeply affected by the financial and emotional impact of this protracted process.

We stand by our initial review and hope this update provides additional context to our experience with Nomads Embassy.

UPDATE (Dec 16th):
Recently, Nomads Embassy threatened legal action if I don't remove this honest review, contradicting their earlier response that acknowledged our right to a 1-star review. This intimidation tactic to silence genuine customer feedback deepens my concerns about Nomads Embassy's practices and transparency.

The service was efficient and friendly, they provide an interactive platform for uploading and checking documents, and their contents over the internet were helpful when deciding what Digital Nomad Visa to choose.
It was certainly a good investment working with Nomad Embassy and their partnering law firm. I highly recommend their service to anyone looking for a Digital Nomad Visa.
