Then time to relax in the beautiful tasting lounge for a guided tasting of a 'flight of 3 NB Gins and a final drink of choice, including a NB Rum. The unique venue is also available to hire exclusively for any special occasion, network event or meeting. Or, just pop by to visit the distillery, see the majestic copper stills and buy at great prices from the Cellar Door Shop. Ideal day trip from Edinburgh - only 30 minutes on the train and a short taxi ride to the distillery, located near Tantallon Castle. Spiced Rum
Met the new owner Jamie on my first visit since he took over and have to say it was an absolute pleasure he was so informative and enthusiastic.
He told me about some of the slight changes he’s made to the spiced rum and the gin.
I can’t vouch for the gin yet but I can certainly confirm the spiced rum is fantastic and in my opinion it’s the best I’ve ever tasted and I’ve tried a few in my time.
I was a little apprehensive when I heard NB had been taken over as a regular buyer of their spiced rum but it’s in very safe hand's.
I’m looking forward to my regular visits.

Fantastic Tour
Very informative tour taking you through the history and process of gin and rum production. It’s a beautiful distillery and economically run. The tasting session is fantastic with lots of varieties of mixers to accompany the great tasting spirits.

A Delightul Experience!
Our host, Karen, was welcoming, hospitable, fun, friendly and wonderful. And the spirits were tasty and terrific. We not only about the distillery, while having a good time, but also how gin is made. We highly recommend visiting!
