It's so great not having to think about what's for dinner. When the box arrives, I lay the recipe cards out and sort all the ingredients into recipes then I pop them in a container per meal. They go in the fridge like this, all set for someone to pull out and cook.

Don’t get me wrong it good but it starts to feel all the same , a lot of same vegetables in everything.
I also purchased avocados from you ,just to try and see the quality of the produce. How disappointing
The avocados were green just over the size of a tablespoon and when they just started showing signs of softening I cut into them and they were rotten.

I have found the made meals so helpful after surgery, and to feed a small family. It was also handy to buy some of the grocery items as I was feeling better. Some of these were so well priced as well. I'm now addicted to the kumara sourdough!

I luv the ready made meals.
If only they can get my address right, I have had to go to my neighbours and apologise for my delivery, I shouldn't have had to do that.
I rang the company twice and they apologised, but if it happens again I will be cancelling all my future orders..I wish I could put in more the just 1 date

Yummy meals but not enough variety. Would love to have different meals to choose from each week or each fortnight if each week is asking too much.

I think overall the experience has been perfect for me as I work from home and knowing after a full day it is nice for me to not have to prepare food. Most of the prepared dishes are amazing. I think I would like a change sometimes, although I love the Lasagne's, Thai Curry and Indian Curry. I am looking forward to picking up the meals again in October and hope there are some interesting spring/summer suggestions as well. It has been wonderful this year for me and I have added my own long beans and broccoli to the meals. Thank you

I receive the Ready Made meals which I find really convenient with a good selection to choose from.
The delivery is hassle free and can be traced on the day which provides flexibility and I also like the ease of skipping a week when required.

Have used Fresh Start for a long time, was always great, switched to ready made meals recently due to ill health, every single one of the meals is absolutely delicious. Recommend both Fresh Start and Made to everyone I talk to!

As others have mentioned , navigating the site is very confusing, thought after putting weeks on hold , I then went in to cancell it , well i thought i had canceled my order only to find I have been charged, company is not understanding and demanding , be very careful that you don't get stung as this company is unforgiving

My food bag pre-made meals have been a game changer for me with a toddler and husband that works away. I have little time to prepare meals so the pre-made are super convenient and easy for me. There’s a good selection, although a few new ones would be nice but overall I think I’ve only ever not liked one meal because it didn’t appeal to my taste but everything else has been great. By far superior to others ready-made. Really happy all round with the app, ordering, delivery etc.

Absolutely loving bargain box. Good size meals even the fussiest child is enjoying what I am cooking. Sticking with my food bag as ive tried other meal providers and they aren't as good as bargain box. Awesome company to deal with and there site is user friendly.

I am getting the Ready Made meals and just love them. They come in separate containers some can be heated in the microwave some in oven (I also heat them in their container in Air Fryer.). There is a good variety of meals each one so yummy and tasteful. They taste fresh and real. My favorites- chicken and vegetable pie, macaroni cheese which also has cauliflower in it to give a nice different texture...and many more.

cunning people so my mother ordered from them about a year ago because she had a coupon then the order was fine then 2 weeks ago she decided to have a look again at the site logged into her account looked what meals she wanted to get she never confirmed that what she wanted to get as she added 2 thing but her phone died then today we get a box from them turn up

we called them on the phone to say this is a mistake and we want to return the box but they said we are unable to take it back because its food products and

and after we told them what happens they just tell us the meals you chose where added to your box so but we never even confirmed that what we wanted they told us we tried charging your visa card 3 times but it declined it declined because that was my mums old visa card

why would they ship something out without payment first or contacting my mum that the visa card payment was being declined before shipping the box??

it like if buy something off amazon they would never ship the item without payment

also they were kinda rude on the phone kinda talking in a rude tone asking my mum pay the money

I like the variety in recipies, the quality of the ingredients.
I order a couple of times a month for 2 people. The meals are really generous and there is always leftovers for lunch. Sometimes i freeze the meat and make soup with the veg, and make the recipie the nxt wk. Its quite nice to have a change in what you normally eat and its much healthier than takeaway yet feels like a treat.

One of the worst organisations in the country. They have literally designed a system that aims to charge customers for orders they don't want or can't pay for. They actively try to obfuscate this truth with typical gaslighting arguments, many if which are evident in their replies to similar complaints here on trust pilot. This strategy is fundamentally stupid. It's destroys customer trust, tarnishes the company's brand and leaves innocent customers to deal with debt collectors and potential credit implications. There are several options the company could implement to ensure this situation never occurs, but they choose not to, all in service of short term profits. Pathetic.

I was a happy customer for years until a recent incident with delivery. I changed my address but did not realise I did it as a one-off and system did not save the new one. When I ordered a new box, system provided the old address, by default. Next day I realised address was wrong, contacted MFB but it was too late to alter it and "nothing could be done". It was Tuesday evening when I spotted the error, delivery was due next Monday. How come nothing can be done?? How can a company that pretends to care about food, nutrition, enviroment, etc allow a delivery of food worth 300 NZD to nowhere, where there is nobody to collect it , knowing that it is going to be wasted?? Took me many phone calls to NZPost during the whole week to be able to alter the delivery address once the box was picked up by them the following Monday, with the consequent 48hrs delay. During all that time MFB continued to say the could not do anything, which is unbelievable as the box was with them.

With hubby away for over a week, I ordered Ready Made Meals for one. The main reason was to have nutritious meals easy to heat and heat after a long day at work.
In the past, when I have been on my own, cheese & crackers or an egg on toast have sufficed! Cooking for one not my favourite activity 😊
The meals were fantastic - 3 weeks, 4 meals for the working nights. I reheated in the oven & in 20minutes had a tasty, healthy meal.
Will use again!
