Give a Minus 5 if i could!
Had my car servs at My Car for over 15yrs - but NEVER AGAIN.
Charged me full serv but did NOT do 1 REPAIR or REPLACE 1 thing - other than Oil.
And apparently its not just me! Seem Google Reviewers have had same problem w My Car.
This time...My Car did basic tests - but NOT 1 Repair. Then did Tyre Rotation + changed
Oil - but NOT Oil Filter.
Instead by mid arvo after waitg 4hrs (for service i was told'd take 2)...theyd still not even received a basic filter to finish the job NOR done Road Test.
So when i saw it'd be 2hrs more again, told them i'd need to come back (as i urgently had to get home for other commitmts). Manager then got rude + agro, arguing it was Repcos fault for non delivery (of a basic oil filter after 4hrs)...then my fault for not waitg longer...then whining bout new staff. Apparently it was everyones fault, except his own crap time managemt.
i.e., Had car bookd in 4wks prior & he was still chasing an oil filter mid afternoon.
AND then charged me full 300 service cost, for NOTHING except tyre rotation, wiper check & bit of oil. Not even a road test!
UTTER RIP OFF...

I organised a 180000 car service with MyCar as a loyal customer over the last 10 years. This included a fuel filter replacement. Upon pick up I was told that the car was “ in mint condition “ This was on Saturday the 14th March.

This was not the case as there is clearly some type of missing when it comes to the engine ( spark plugs or timing chain) I would have hoped that this would have been noted in the “ test drive” but nothing mentioned.
I thought I’d give it a day or so and see if it sorted itself out.
I drove the car on the Tuesday a fair distance and when heading home the car just lost power and I needed to pull over. My daughter who was in the car was very scared but I reassured her that it would be ok.
I had to park the car in a slightly dangerous spot where it could have been run into my other cars.
I then had to spend $20 to organise an uber for my daughter to get safely to my home.

Once the tow truck had dropped the car off to mycar ( this was an inconvenience to me as I had other things I needed tbe car for that day) I waited to pick the car up. Upon pick up, I was told that the mechanic hadn’t installed the fuel pump correctly. This was disappointing to hear as i had paid $630 to have the job done properly.

The biggest issue is the danger that this put me and my family in.‘I’m
Just pleased that no one was hurt.

I would like to request some compensation for this ordinary workmanship , perhaps a complimentary service or credit voucher.

If this can’t be done then I’m afraid that Mycar might not get my or friends business going forward.

I turned up on the wrong day and they still fit me in. And they finished before they predicted which was great!

I am extremely happy with their service, they have are very helpful and friendly.

Replaced broken light unit with supplied wiring when my understanding was that work was needed to use existing wiring. Result was that I was only charged for new light bulbs. High integrity!

Great staff and the work done on my car was done within the time was said to me.

Staff very helpful and car going extremely well. There was no diagnostic scan check check but perhaps not necessary. Only an email about roadside assistance is this all that is required if vehicle breaks down?

It was a bit of a saga. MyCar Rosny. The people there are kind. Andrew I think is the manager. Sweet and helpful. Brendan, second in command I feel? Anyway, was quoted around 1200AUD for changing timing belt and checking knockon sensor and a full service. I was told a full days service, maybe into two. Fair enough. We arrange time a few weeks later when they have time. When the car is handed in monday morning all is well, except I notice on the paper that it says only to check timing belt. I get that corrected. All good and they tell me they will call when its done. Couple days later, nothing. I m busy, so call wednesday. Big troubles. I bolt is stuck. Its a nightmare job. He tells me thursday, probably. Thursday I call again, as I hear nothing. Still a nightmare. Friday its ready. Friday I call as I hear nothing (wtf!? What is up with not calling at all!?). Its most likely ready by 17:00 friday. Still a nightmare says Andrew. I say ok, thats what it is and guess it needs to be done.
At no point they call me. When I talk to them at no point do they tell me whats going on, only that theres a bolt or something and that its a nightmare. I hear nothing Friday - I am tempted to say "of course"... Saturday morning, the car is ready around 8:00. I go and pick up. Bill is over 3100AUD! Nobody says a thing first. Then. We talk. Talk. Discuss some. Complain some. Turns out there were several items twice on the bill. Price gets closer to what we agreed with the original quote, and I am pretty happy. Sadest and weirdest thing is. I came to MyCara couple of visits ago with problems with the gears (suddenly engine lights will come on, from which point it becomes impossible to shift up, down no prob. That always means coming in from a fast road, once slowing down, and shifting down from whatever gear, it will not go up again). Twice they said they looked and found nothing. Referred me to a another shop, that did a quick look, and said the same, but this was the shop that said i needed to change timing belt and check knockon sensor. And now, on the invoice, there is a note on the back mentioning "issue within tbar gear selction assembly". And that this is prob whats wrong with the gears they tell me, though cannot go into detail without detailed look. I stupidly thought that someone coming in with an issue with gears, to have it checked, that a mechanic might have had a look at it the first time. But hey, thats just me.

The stars are for getting a new timing belt and checking knockon sensor and for Brendan, who was a champ and took our issues serious. One star removed for complete lack of communication. One star removed for including things twice on bill. One star removed for not telling us about a price rise at any point and if we wanted to go through with it. And one star removed for extra days.

And I am adding two stars for Brendan. Only Brendan. If he hadnt been there, I would have exploded. He knows his stuff, he is professional, and not afraid to be honest.

Amazing work and great customer service!!!

The timing was great, but a couple of little things that needed doing could have been done while the car was there. A quick phone call is all it would have taken.
