Absolute scammers!
Absolute scammers!
Traded in a S10 with Samsung for the new S24+.
Phone lived in a case from day 1 and was sent in perfect condition.
Email said i had to pay £50 for screen damage with a picture of a S10 which WASNT mine. IMEI showing in the picture did not match the one i returned on the trade in.
Contacted samsung to report their "trade in partner" for attempted fraud, despite them having the data needed to trace that imei and prove MTR are fraudsters, samsung replied to say that i still had to pay it!
At the same time MTR said the trade in was complete and Samsung waived the charge!?
Something fishy going on here, perhaps Samsung are in on the fraud too?
Watchdog need to investigate this terrible company.
Scammers do not use
Sent a perfect condition phone which has never had screen protector removed or protective case. They offered inflated trade in when you buy a new model. Sent in original box .. they sent a photo of nothing and said there was dust in the camera lens so must have been tampered with ????? There was nothing visible in the photo so they offered over £100 less .. they then returned with DPD who tried to deliver once then sent it back to them ! On receiving the phone back they have kept the original box and taken all protective covers off of it, we have shone a torch on the lens and there is nothing visible at all. The boxes are selling for a tenner each on eBay maybe it’s a side hustle they are scammers please avoid !
Awful experience!!! Do not use
- Terrible communication, took me several emails asking the same question to even get a response that vaguely resembled an answer.
- Still wouldnt give me a break down of costs as to why I owed them more money.
- I've had many Samsung phones but my experience with this company has changed my mind and I will be trying elsewhere next time.
Terrible experience.
5 stars
Scary reviews, but went pretty seamless for me!
DO NOT TRADE IN WITH SAMSUNG AS THESE GUYS WILL ROB YOU BLIND
Like everyone else. They are scamming me for £75. Traded in my phone a month ago and received an email today requesting £75.00 for screen burn which is a complete lie. My phone was not very old and was in perfect working condition. I have always looked after my phones. Invested in shock resitant cases, tempered glass screen protectors so I know that phone is in pristine condition. Reached out to Samsung on twitter yesterday but basically they said they cannot do anything. Will try and call and see if they can do anything but I am definitely reporting them to trading standards. This is not a one off and not everyone can have the same screen burn as per everyone elses reviews. Joke of a company.
Incompetent and/or Fraudulent?
Incompetent, Fraudulent or Both?
Didn't receive my trade in and threatened to block my phone. Several weeks trying to argue it was sent and signed for (glad I paid for royal mail special delivery and had proof), terrible communication. All with a notification on my phone that its about to be blocked.
Sudden radio silence before a month later, magically the phone has appeared with a random screen burn . . . £75 wanted.
Same scam they pulled last time I traded in. I thought maybe I made a mistake the 1st time, this time I checked and no 100% there was no burn when it was sent. These guys are running a money making scam and Samsung seem to have little care, why would they I guess.
Avoid samsung trade in like the plague. And avoid these crooks!
Pathetic liars
Pathetic liars
Took a contact with them just before new year and there was trade in option so they quoted my old phone £100 . Just received an email from them that they can't pay me any more £100 because the back cover is lifted but they can give me £30
YES BUT NO ... Now, the phone was taken on contact and came in a sealed box and has always been with us since, never been to repair shop or anyone is been trying to open it ( we don't know how to do it even )
Because the phone is in fully working order in mint condition they are claiming the back panel is slightly lifted.
What a pathetic liars
Charged me extra £50 pounds for phone…
Charged me extra £50 pounds for phone for having a different color back (Samsung trade in).
I had my phone repaired and hence the body color was different. The charged me, even though my phone was in perfect condition. DO NOT believe in Samsung trade in - they are are complacent and have deliberately searched the worst partner in UK to squeeze every penny out of customers. You will be better off selling your phone on ebay.
Scammers!!
Scammers!!! Avoid. Phone 100% in great working condition, they charged me £150 for fake reason. When I asked for proofs they avoid providing any. S****** P***
Another one gone to dust.
Another one gone to dust.
Royal Mail advised there was a problem with the postage, phone got lost.
Be AWARE: MTR send Tracked 48 Returns which don't get tracked UNLESS phone gets delivered. So when they book the postage wrong, Royal Mail contacts them, not you, they don't respond, the tracking number is not updated, phone gets blocked somewhere, the Trade In Money get squeezed out of you, then the phone arrives to MTR weeks later... for free. Ta da! No wonder their profits are so high!
The Insurance on the leaflet is in THEIR favour, not yours so you can't claim with Royal Mail.
I have seen a few here who went to the police. Trading Standard might also be a solution as well.
Shame on Samsung for working with them!
Another customer lost + every person I speak to + social media. More and more of my friends will move to other brands. Shame Samsung!
Avoid at all cost
Avoid at all cost. This business is run by fraudsters.
PUT FAKE PARTS ON MY PHONE
PUT FAKE PARTS ON MY PHONE.
Organised a repair through Samsung, and Samsung organised for it to be repaired by MTR harlow. Phone came back looking good, however the phone was letting in water. I called back Samsung and a different mobile repair company came to my house to have a look. He told me a fake screen and fake back glass were put on my phone by a 3rd party… ONLY MTR HARLOW HAD TOUCHED MY PHONE.
If Samsung try to organise a repair for you there, respectfully ask for a different company.
DO NOT Use Samsung Trade Ins
I was provided with mailing instructions for my trade in device, followed the steps to the letter, I even took evidence for myself so I could prove it had been sent.
After nearly 2 months after sending the phone and 0 correspondence, they have charged me the discount I received for the phone purchase with NO contact or consultation beforehand on how to resolve the issue or to ask for evidence so they can raise a claim with the royal mail.
They've denied my claims and ignored clear evidence, advised the Samsung support reps there is nothing more they can do and essentially closed off contact.
I'm no longer going to be recommending Samsung to anyone, especially if they use this scummy trade in company in their locations as well.
Surly and unhelpful 'Customer Service'…
Surly and unhelpful 'Customer Service' staff. They advertise FREE POSTAGE for the traded in item, but that only applies if the item is <£100 and you can print off the postage label they email you - no alternative method available. The 'sorry that is our policy' did not seem that sincere either.
Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers. Sent my phone back to them in good faith in perfect functioning condition (had a couple of slight scratches on the factory-fitted screen protector). The gave a value of £130 initially. Then I got an email saying the phone had screen-burn and would only give me £30 for it. I declined this offer and asked for my phone back. They sent a phone back to me, but it WASN'T the phone I had sent them (I would recognise it because of the slight scratches). This was was in much worse condition with more scratches and blemishes. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF.
DON'T TRADE IN YOUR PHONE WITH SAMSUNG
Did a trade in with Samsung and apparently this company deals with them. On receiving the phone I sent to them, which was in mint condition when it left me in its original packaging and then bubbe wrapped, they claimed it has a crack in the back panel. They included a picture of the back of my phone which shows no crack in it. They now want me to pay 50 excess. They are basically trying to rob me blind. Had I known what company was dealing with it, I would have done some research and would never have done a trade in with Samsung, this company has a reputation of faking damage to get money back. This company is a crimal organisation. This reflects very badly on Samsung as well.
Filing a police fraud report against them as we speak.
Absolute gangsters…
Absolute gangsters… quote one price and then pay another. Said camera lens was damaged. Sent a picture that showed no damage. Poor poor company. Would never use them again. Stay away
Bad experience
I have trade in my Samsung flip3 and MTR said it's poor (????) quality so I have to pay £110 on the top if I want to get discount. IT WAS DEFO GOOD QUALITY!!!!! I think they just laundering money....
Appalling
Appalling level of service. Sent ipad to this company in its original retail box, all in A1 condition only to receive an email to advise that the device had a bend to it. It certainly hadn't been like that at the time of sending and I can only assume it to have been impacted in the postal system. MTR offered £5 instead of the quoted £80!. I asked that the device be returned only to receive it without its original box. MTR advise that t&cs state that original packing wont be returned. Why therefore suggest that items are posted in retail packing? Moreover, the slight bend was reversed with absolute ease. And so, I’m left with an ipad (in perfect working order) without its original box which I always keep for originality. Woefully bad service, and will certainly avoid this company in the future.
Pleasantly surprised after reading negative reviews
I was upset after reading all the negative reviews. I honestly thought ‘oh well no way am I going to get the money promised for my IPhone’. I posted my phone on the Friday and an email was sent this morning Tuesday stating received. This afternoon the transaction completed and the promised money is in my bank account .
I can only speak from my experience but I am happy.
