Tripping Breakers

About a year ago we hired Mr. Electric because our breakers kept tripping. They came out, looked around and moved my fuse box to outside in the main breaker box and guess what....my breakers are still tripping....only difference is now I have to walk outside in the cold to cut it back on!!! In the process they stepped on and crushed my flowers as if they didn't exist. Promised to replace them but no flowers yet!! They technically did nothing to make my situation any better for over $3000. This has been the biggest disappointment for me and my elderly mom. I on;y gave them one star because *0 wasn't a option.

Christmas Eve repair

The came on Christmas Eve to deal with a random outage on my enclosed porch. They figured out the issues and gave a fair quote and were able to fix the problem. They were pleasant and efficient and even remembered us from a previous quote. Brian and Colby I think were their names. Job Well done

do not recommend 4 grand over priced

Highly do not recommend 4 thousand dollars over priced. Hope over charging and riping of customers is how you get a head hope to see you fail as a company. Absolutely disgusting the way you want to up charge your customers look up ev charger code not supposed to use aluminum. Tell you the charge you for copper and install aluminum which in michigan is against code.

RIP OFF!

They would not tell me any pricing on the phone. Showed up with two guys one a trainee. Said it would be $300 just to diagnosis the problem. I told them it was a bad breaker switch. Then they told me still would be $300 and then another $500 to switch out the breaker that takes 5 minutes. Ridiculous! I would avoid them if I was you.

I wish we could give them 0 star · I hired Mr. Electric in Palo Alto, Lic#1065042, EVITP 4035426 to re do my panel on 3/3/25, because I am adding a spa pool. When they first came here, they were very nice, My son found them. First day they showed up, they told me they needs to open up the wall around the panel and I need to hire people to put it back at my cost. That was not in the conversation when they first here!! What do you do?? This company was contacted by my son I didn't want to upset my son. So, I said OK. The night after they replaced the panel, the half of the house turned dark. Happens to be the part connect to our garage. I called this company, no one responded. We waited for a day, no responds. We ended up hired a handy man to figure out what happened Now is at the final stage of this job, today (4/30/25), concrete people were supposed to fill the concrete, they came and told me the wire connect to the spa will be filled if I allow them to. (This been confirmed by another electric company that there are better way to handle this ) They told me I should have Mr. E to come back and relocate the wooden post, with the box. And their box is too low (This also been confirmed by another Electric company that the box is too low ) , concrete might cover or gets very close to the concrete. I contacted Mr. E. they told me everything looks good, no need to do anything at the last payment they asked around 3 weeks ago, they told me that the rest of it, is due after city's final permitted. Now, today, they ask for another payment. I can't help you anything with this merchant, but, I can letting you know not to use them :0( We have contacted State Contractor License Board 9168436515, if you have issues with them too, you should contact State Contractor License Board as well. We should NOT have evil people among us
Further more, they also uses cheap materials to save their total material expenses. After they left, 3 companies came, and all of them told me the work is poor, with cheap materials.
Don't say I didn't warn you when you are ready to write a 0 star after you hired this shop

We had Jeremy come out and add an outlet outside and add a surge protection to the entire house. Very efficient and patient to walk us through everything. This is the 2nd time that we have used Mr. Electric and we have been more than happy both times.

Don't use this company
The was paid 2900.00 cash money. The changed then light bulbs which I didn't request . Placed wire knots on ac lines,changed 2 light switches and secured outdoor light back to trailer . They are now refusing to return my money for work not performed. They just keep giving me run around.

Matt very efficient. He was a pleasure to talk to. I will hire him again if he worked for another company

Mr electric prices are not in line with everybody else's. You overcharged and gouge your customers. I had someone who come out take care of what I needed for a dedicated line and wiring in my building for around $685. I was very unlucky to have called you. Worse than I agreed to pay that much money for lights to be installed.

These other reviews giving such glowing must be fake or these folks are very unaware of Real world pricing.

I waited 4 weeks for them to come down…

I waited 4 weeks for them to come down for a Generator install estimate. 8/21/23 and they were a no show...no call, no nothing. Horrible customer service. I wouldn't hire them to change a light bulb. And NO MR. ELECTRIC.....my appointment was scheduled for the MORNING and I kept the email that says that. If you'd like to see it.....send me your email and I'll forward it to you. There was NO confusion on my part. It was YOUR company that dropped the ball. Time for you to OWN IT and don't blame the customer who waited 4 weeks to only get stood up.
Here's the email YOU guys sent me.....Read it. It says IN THE MORNING.

Brandon at Mr Electric was amazing! His knowledge surpassed any service person I’ve ever worked with! Service was prompt, work was done quickly, and he solved my electrical problems. I highly recommend Mr Electric!

Needed to connect the generator to the…

Needed to connect the generator to the house. Mr.Electric sent Kollin to do the estimate and the job. He was professional and prompt. He arrived at 8am and worked til 6. He explained everything to us and answered all of our questions and concerns. He was knowledgeable and had a great smile! I would use this company again and highly recommend Kollin!

DO NOT USE MR. ELECTRIC!!

During a thunderstorm, half of my condo did not have electricity. I called Mr Electric because they had a rating of 4.8 out of 5 on Googleand Angie's List. Their electrician came and he looked at my fuse box inside my house and told me that half of my fuse was not getting voltage. He then proceeded to go outside and check the meter box. He came back and told me that there are 3 wires that looked old and needed to be replaced which would solve my problem. He said it would cost $429.00 if I wanted him to change it. I, of course, told him yes because I needed my condo to have electricity back again. I went outside with him and watched him changed the 3 tiny wires, each of them only 12 inches in length. It took him ONLY 5 minutes. When we got back into my condo, we were both SURPRISED to see that half of my condo WAS STILL WITHOUT electricity. He then went outside again and came back a few minutes later and told me that the problem WAS NOT the wires, but it was the meter box itself. He told me that I needed to call ONCOR to have them replace the meter. After Mr Electric technician left, I called ONCOR and told them the situation. They came out to check the situation. While ONCOR technicians was outside checking on the meter, they asked me what Mr Electric technician did. I told them that Mr Electric technician replaced 3 wires that he said was damaged. They ask to see the wires. When I showed them the wires, they were SHOCKED because they said that there was NOTHING WRONG with these wires and that Mr Electric technician should have called them first instead of replacing the wires. ONCOR changed the meter and FIXED my electricity problem. Mr Electric charged me $429.00 and DID NOT even fixed my problem!!! Mr Electric technician was at my place for about 30 minutes, 10 minutes of which was waiting in his car until the rain settled down. When I asked Mr Electric technician for a receipt, he said that it would be emailed to me. I NEVER gotten any receipt or invoice from them in my email. I later called Mr Electric four separate times to ask for my money back and ask to speak to a manager, but no manager ever called me back. I did not get any response from them at all!! I'm not sure how they got 4.8/5 rating from Google and Angi.com

Mr Electric failed mike kernea

The person came out and saw one wire that had been cut and left and he said the entire Trailer had to be rewired. Mr Electric put on estimate quantity 1 rewire cost 20 k and that was it. He was there maybe 5 minutes. Then I got a bill for 100 dollars I think and when I called Home office they said estimate is s free. When I called technician he said he maid a mistake billing me the 100 dollars . I said thank you and I really wondered how they do businesses this way. Maybe this was just a bad experience

Great work at a great price

I give Mr. Electric 5 stars. They were able to come out the day I called. Ed was very knowledgeable and efficient. Found and corrected the problem quickly. They were over $100 cheaper than another company I had called previously. I will definitely use them again.

Shocking

Did half the job, but still charged full price. Took no action to try and resolve the matter and get the job finished. Lacking in communication and customer service. They couldn't care less other than to chase up their invoices.
Essentially they charged me £165 for absolutely nothing. I had to commission a second electrician to do the job again, costing me double and wasting a lot of everyone's time.
I do not recommend this company whatsoever.
