Costa and Mario did a great job painting the external woodwork and pebbledash. The whole process of quotation, scaffolding and painting went smoothly. This was my third time using Kloss. Always reliable.

Our decorator was called Darious and I can say he was amazingly conscientious and a genuine nice guy.
We changed our mind part way thorough and both Darious and Eddie (the supervisor) dealt with it and sorted the change with no issues.
The best thing I can say is that we have some more work that we need to do and I will happily use M J Kloss for that to.

A huge thank you to MJ Kloss for the decorating they did to our sitting room. There was a lot of preparation to do such as filling and sanding of oak beams. We had Kloss do external house painting on a large house. What Kloss were good at was: providing a keenly priced quote, flexibility to allow us to direct hire scaffolders (so we could get a lower price), high quality painting work, really good fault finding in our exterior walls/wood work and making good any faults they found. The overall job was very good quality and the people at Kloss are very nice to deal with. I would highly recommend them.

Craig did a superb job, painting window surrounds and sills also removing rotten wood on porch door and replacing the moulding. Everywhere was left spotlessly clean. In future, I would always use M J Kloss for any decorating work required, I cannot rate them highly enough. A great pleasure to find a company that obviously takes a pride in its work.

We have used Kloss Decorators on 3 occasions now and have been very happy with the quality of their work and the reasonable cost every time. Most recently, a few weeks ago, they repainted a bathroom and shower room for us. Dean, who completed the work to a very high standard, was punctual, pleasant, respectful and a very clean worker. Using a special system and high quality damp resistant paints, he saved the bathroom ceiling paper, which was becoming brittle and coming off the ceiling over the radiator. We are grateful to Tony, the Kloss estimator for suggesting this might be possible, and as it was, saving us the additional expense of having the ceiling stripped and repapered prior to repainting the walls and ceiling.

The whole process of working with MJKloss was a positive one. The estimate was carried out efficiently and speedily. Eddie, the manager, communicated well throughout the job. The painters, Danny and Nick, were great. They worked so hard stripping off wallpaper put up 50 years ago! They arrived early, were professional and friendly and cleaned up at the end of each day.

We had the pebble dashing on the front of our house painted along with the window sills and drain pipes. The company was quick to fit us in which pleased us and the scaffolding went up within a few days. There were 2 painters a couple of days later. The company only sent them on days that the weather was not wet (bit of a rainy week) so that was reassuring. We were disappointed to discover that they had not put a sealant coat as listed on the quote, (this is why I have taken off one star, but they did paint 3 coats of exterior emulsion once we raised the issue with a manager. That issue was dealt with promptly by Eddie, who is very easy to talk to. We are very happy with the results. 👍

Nick and his brother did a marvellous job of the exterior decorating. Very accommodating and very approachable. They were always happy to answer any question or query. Would recommend using them again, for internal, as well as exterior decorating purposes.

We use as the base for our comments one of the documents Kloss produce entitled "What You Get From Us". Where we quote from that document we use inverted commas.
We got off to an excellent start. The estimator who called was punctual, friendly and very professional. ("Our trained estimator with a smile".) He produced an acceptable, detailed quotation very promptly. Kloss assigned two decorators to the job, would start on the Tuesday after the Bank Holiday Monday and expected to finish by the Friday, i.e. a four day job. We understood daily start times were 8.00 - 8.30 and that on the first day the supervisor would visit. In fact, although we spoke on the telephone he never did visit, and we were told that for some of the time that week at least he was abroad. When we asked at the conclusion of the work if he would be visiting he said he would not - he had photographs (none of those that we had taken) and anyway he was in London. The Kloss website states "We have a Quality Control Supervisor on every job to ensure complete customer satisfaction".
"Work started promptly". Halfway through the morning of the first day the supervisor phoned to say that he had discovered the office had not told us there would be a delayed start. This was the broken down van. When two men did eventually arrive they were indeed in a hired van. There was no sign that day or any other of the white MJ Kloss overalls that feature in photographs on the website. Having made a start they then left to go into town for lunch, and on returning said they were leaving early to collect materials.
On day two the same two men arrived, well after 9.00.
This was the heavy traffic and the sat nav taking them round a long way - in the same van that they arrived in the previous day. We discovered at lunchtime that the van had gone (unannounced), and the men did not return for the rest of the day. By this time white masonry paint, some of it walked on, was on our patio, driveway, fence and rear footpath. "Tried and tested decorators that are pleasant to have around, work cleanly, are reliable and do a proper job." and "Work carried out efficiently and with a minimum of fuss".
On day three of the expected four days "deadlines kept once agreed", one of the original men attended with his father and another decorator (who we never saw again). This was just after 10.00. We were so pleased to see the father. We believe it was largely his efforts that produced a satisfactory result. They were gone by 3.30, promising the job would be completed by the following day, Friday, as planned.
In fact the father attended on his own on the Friday, and so not surprisingly the job took longer. He came alone on Saturday and Sunday, finally leaving that day just before 1.00 pm. Incidentally we had never said we wanted the job done quickly. We were content to let Kloss decide how long the job would/should take.
As referenced above, all credit to the father who, having taken over the job worked alone and seemed anxious to please and address as many of the snagging issues as he could.

Craig our decorator did a fantastic job on the front of our house and front door. He checked in regularly to ensure we were happy with the work. Professional and considerate with an eye for detail. Quick yet precise, he had the job finished in no time to an extremely high standard. Left the place neat and tidy too. I'm very pleased with the result. Thanks to Craig for all his hard work. I highly recommend.
