Millennia Tax Relief took payment, provided no service, and damaged my credit
I hired Millennia Tax Relief in 2021 to help me file several years of back taxes. After initial onboarding, the company became completely unresponsive. No services were ever performed, no communication was received, and I had to pay another tax firm $800 just to file in time and avoid the serious legal consequences of missing federal deadlines.
Due to Millennia’s failure to act, I canceled the service. Years later, in 2025, I discovered a collection account from Monterey Financial on my credit report tied to this unresolved agreement. This has severely harmed my credit.
In April 2025, I sent a formal debt validation request under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA, 15 U.S.C. § 1692g). They failed to respond with the legally required documentation—no proof of services, no itemized billing, no valid breakdown of charges. They are also in potential violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA, 15 U.S.C. § 1681s-2) by continuing to report this debt without marking it as “disputed.”
This is not just a breach of contract. It’s deceptive, harmful, and unlawful. Millennia Tax Relief took my money, did nothing, and now actively damages my credit with an unvalidated collection. Avoid this company at all costs.
