Melon Cube is awesome
Melon Cube is awesome! The service is great with all plugins available and I only have to connect from the vanilla Minecraft to enter a spigot server with any plugins I want. A Melon Cube server is very cheap and super easy to host. Melon Cube is the perfect place for a cheap and easy server. 10/10!

Not worth
You don't get what you pay for, server crashes at least once a day on lower tier packs, even when nothing is happening. It's a noob server host honeytrap, they lure you in with good prices.

I have taken a look at this with a member of the support team and it seems the mod "Alexs Mobs" is causing quite a few issues. This is a mod that is known to cause issues fairly often.

If you're browsing all the different hosting services for a Minecraft 1.18.1+ server, this is very likely to be your best option if you live in North America, Europe, or Asia.
They give you complete control over the server folder, configs, server ip address name, everything you could wish for, you are able to change it.
If price is the only aspect you're looking for, there are other services with free options and cheaper options, but MelonCube offers the best value in terms of server uptime, no lag, and customizability.
After two months of use, I fully recommend using MelonCube for Minecraft server hosting on 1.18.1 and will continue to use their services.

We know we are not the cheapest around (or the free option), but I can promise you that there is no one else around that has such an amazing and resourceful team, as well as always being there for you no matter when you might need it. ;)
Small server very reliable
MelonCube hosted a small server of mine for two years for a small group of friends. Very easy to set up and manage, uptime was high and service was quick to respond to issues. Would recommend!

Great support, little overpriced
All in all, Meloncube is pretty good. The servers are pretty fast, the panel is easy to use and straightforward. However, even though it is relatively cheap, there is cheaper, and one small complaint I have is that subdomains cost an extra 2$ a month, which I find just slightly unreasonable. One big plus, however, is the support team at Meloncube is one of the best support teams in the entire world. I opened a ticket once, and they responded within 15 Minutes! 15 MINUTES! That is crazy good support, and every time I've submitted a ticket, no matter what time of day, I always get a response within 30 minutes. It's INSANE, and I don't know how they do it, but it is truly amazing.

Let's go with the subdomain part first. We know it seems a little off for something that seems so small, but in order to keep everything running at full capacity, we need to ask for that little extra help. :)
But onto the support side, we keep our team well-watered and fed, this is the secret to making sure all are answered and fixed up in a nice set of time. :D
Excellent service
Excellent service, but it's a little bit hard to understand for people not already familiar with server hosting.
There's several technicalities in settings pages and such that aren't explained like I'm 5, and thus required a lot of external help to set everything up correctly.
That said, it's still better than most other hosting sites I've seen on that front; the FAQ articles didn't solve all my issues but were still useful.

Very cheap for a very good server
Very cheap for a very good server! Currently using the 2GB plan (although I plan to switch to a better one soon) and the server runs smooth as butter despite using pretty heavy plugins.
There's only been a few major downtimes. One time in 2020 they had an IP change but there was a long enough warning beforehand that we were able to warn the players.
My only main gripe is that the client interface is a bit confusing to me but it doesn't really come up as an issue much anyways. The multicraft control panel is easy to learn and use.
I've been using this host for about 2 years and I would (and have) recommend it to anyone looking to start a minecraft server!

The majority of files should be editable, some cannot due to certain reasons. But on the right hand side when in the File Manager you should see an "Edit" button.
