marvellous device

I bought this just before Easter I was suffering with breathing problems due to the smoke and acrid smell from the kitchen below my bedroom. I know it’s working because to test it out to demonstrate its ability ilit a bonfire under my window smoke came in making the device go on full alter by showing the red sensor bar I shut the window and put it on full blast and within around 20 minutes the smoke smell had gone and device returned back to green indicating clear air again. I know it’s considered but you can’t put a price on your health also my sinuses have cleared I received excellent help from Steve in sales he was very helpful and knowledgeable would highly recommend this firm Dianex

I looked at several purifiers and…

I looked at several purifiers and rejected ones that had costly replacement filters (over £100) I specifically asked if they would be increasing the price of the subscription service which was £65 every 9 months which I planned to start after about a year when filter light came on to replace. I was told the following- I can guarantee availability for years to come as we have only just released the latest version.
Price wise I cannot guarantee this as it depends on the price to make them. The subscription
price has not changed in several years and there is currently no need to increase the price.
With this information I was under the impression it would be a few years til an increase so 1 year later I look to start the subscription only to find it has increased by £44 and now costs £109!!! Apparently this increased just a couple of weeks ago on the 1st March 2026! No email or message to warn us despite having our email and phone numbers. When I expressed disappointment I was told 'sorry you feel that way etc. I replied that a warning email of the huge price increase would of been appreciated but was ignored after that. Very disappointed and wish I hadn't bought the machine!
Its hard to tell if it makes any difference using it and it is extremely loud! Unsure why it states 'whisper quiet'!

To provide some context, the conversation you referenced took place over a year ago. At that time, we were proud to have maintained our subscription pricing for several years. However, like many UK-based businesses, we have recently been hit by a perfect storm of external cost increases that, unfortunately, reached a point where they could no longer be absorbed.

Since your initial enquiry, there have been significant shifts in the economic landscape, including:

• Increased Employer National Insurance: Rising operational costs for our UK-based team.
• Manufacturing & Raw Materials: The high-grade HEPA 13/14 and Activated Carbon used in our filters have seen sharp global price increases.
• Logistics & Freight: International shipping and fuel surcharges have risen substantially over the last 12 months.

Regarding the lack of notification, as you were not yet an active subscriber to the service, you would not have received the price update alerts sent to our existing subscription base. We understand that seeing a jump from £65 to £109 is frustrating; however, this new price reflects the reality of delivering medical-grade components in 2026 while maintaining our commitment to quality. Even at this new rate, we remain competitive for the volume of carbon and medical-grade HEPA provided compared to other clinical-level systems.

In terms of performance and noise, MedicAir units are high capacity, medical-grade machines designed to clean the air at a clinical standard used by the NHS. When running on higher settings to clear pollutants quickly, the fan is powerful, though on lower settings or sleep mode, it is designed to be as quiet as possible. The difference the machine makes is often invisible to the eye (removing microscopic pathogens and gases) but can be tracked in real-time via the laser sensor display on the unit.

An absolute God send

Medicair was recommended to me by a friend who raved about them to assist with allergies. And boy was she right! Since receiving my Medicaid minipro, my son's symptoms for chronic and debilitating allergies have been significantly reduced and I put it all down to this air filter. It has really been a God send and the subscription for filters is a really easy option. Finally the kind and patient support received when I did not read the instructions about a reset after filter change was exceptional. I would highly recommend the unit and this company. Very impressive.

Dont delay. Gat cleaned air today!

I own/use 2x Medicair Mini’s in my home and have filtered replaced on a subscription. As an immunocompromised person whose small grandchildren are often in situ due to family circumstances, these hospital grade air cleaning systems are essentially an essential acting as a form of self care & self preservation the UV and PM.2 filtration protecting me from the endless viruses they relentlessly bring into my former safe space (eg my home! ) from which I cannot protect myself . These work away quietly in the background monitoring the air quality and are very sensitive in moments picking up the slightest change or presence of contaminants- even a scented candle, or after I’ve spayed the shower cubicle in another room!

Great company. Always helpful when advice needed.

Was it serendipity

Was it serendipity, or was it my visit to the local A&E that began my relationship with MedicAir? I’ve used air purifiers for many years, and the technology has advanced greatly since my first one.

Because I have chemical sensitivities and allergies, I decided to try the MedicAir Pro-Mini. After getting through my first season of agrochemical spraying in the area, I noticed a definite improvement — enough to convince me to buy a second unit.

Later, after another trip to A&E, I caught a bout of COVID-19. Thanks to the purifier’s filtration and UVC system, no one else in my household became ill.

Most recently, I’ve added a third unit to the collection — a decision that truly speaks for itself.

Cost effective mould management.

I have a mould issue in my house which I can’t afford to resolve straight away so I’ve made safe areas which these machines are a cost effective way of managing. I have two machines and I’m now recovering after 6 months of breathing issues, it can’t be proved and doesn’t cure the problem but now I’m able to remove the mould using proper PPE in a cost effective way.

MedicAir purifiers are great.

MedicAir units are operating well in two rooms. They arrived quickly, were easy to install and operate. They are very quiet, but if you don't want the low hum you can put them on SLEEP control so they are totally silent. So far, excellent.

Despite having taken your payment I…

Despite having taken your payment I have yet to see my new filter. You have telephoned and left a message (but no telephone number to return your call) saying that your courier could not find 12 Regent Drive - yet the previous three deliveries from you were not a problem. Further my house is where it has been for the last 65 years. Every order with you is some form of crisis and I wonder how such a disorganised company can continue in business?

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review. Having reviewed your order I can see that one of our team tried to call you on the 11th September, as we were contacted by the courier company, DPD, to say they could not find your address to deliver your filter. This was then followed up promptly by an email to you stating the issue and asking for your assistance with this matter. The team members name, landline and mobile number and email address are all contained in that email. This was not responded to.

Shortly after this email was sent we received an email sent by yourself to our hello@medicair.co.uk inbox asking why we had shipped your order without asking, when you were away in Croatia and would not be back in the UK until late on the 2nd October 2025 (today). You received this reply from another MedicAir team member:

The discount available on filters through our subscription scheme is enabled by an automated system, ensuring efficiency and cost savings. Upon account setup, you would have received login details to review and update your account. If these are lost, we are happy to assist, and assistance can be provided by contacting hello@medicair.co.uk.

We note an email was sent to you on 4th September regarding your renewal, followed by a 6th September notification that your payment details had expired. You updated these, and an order confirmation was emailed on 6th September. As this was a Saturday, dispatch occurred on 8th September for next-day delivery on 9th September, per our schedule. We regret the timing inconvenience while you are in Croatia, however our automated system dispatches based on renewal dates and payment confirmation, but we can pause future orders if you notify us in advance via your account or email.

No further response was received and as DPD were unable to deliver the filter, this was returned to us at our cost and a note made to contact you tomorrow, 3rd October, as you stated you would not be back in the UK until late today, 2nd October.

With regards to your suggestion that we are disorganised and that every order is some sort of crisis I would point out our response to your previous review of us on the 21st December 2024:

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely apologise that you feel your health was endangered due to an issue with your subscription. Ensuring our customers’ well-being is our top priority, and we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations.

In order to understand your feedback and see if there are any learning points for us, we have reviewed your subscription history to understand what happened. Your first subscription payment was processed successfully in December 2022 and a replacement filter sent. However, in September 2023 and June 2024, multiple attempts (4 in each instance) were made to process payments, but all were unsuccessful and therefore no replacement filters were sent on those occasions. During these periods, emails were sent to notify you of the issue.

In December 2024, you contacted us, and we adjusted your subscription on the same day. After your payment details were updated, a replacement filter was shipped the next day and delivered promptly on the following business day.

With regards to resolving the current issue with your filter please can you contact us via our hello@medicair.co.uk inbox to confirm if you would like us to resend the filter or provide a refund and cancellation of your subscription.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

I have used this companies products for the last 18 months - despite a product failure the company via Steve Dannatt answered the phone in less than 3 minutes and arranged to send out a new plug for it which will hopefully work. He then sold me another unit - and the service was beyond exemplary!

There are cheaper units out there - but not with this quality or level of service! I thoroughly recommend that you invest in this product. You won't regret it!!
