Media Town Agency L.L.C claims to be a "Social Media Security Agency" promised to recover my hacked Twitter account, but sadly it is a scam.

They ask for your Twitter account details, just name and email. Then require a 50% upfront payment (250USD) as a “refundable deposit.”

After confirming the payment, they promise to recover the account within 48 hours.

Then, they stop responding (WhatsApp +971 55 880 3684).

No recovery service is provided, and no refund is given.

I have also filed a fraud complaint with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DED) and sued them.

Do NOT send them any money under any circumstances.

On Aug 1, I contacted Mediatown Agency for TikTok strike removal. They confirmed they could help, quoted $650 USD, gave me a 15% discount, and required 50% upfront. I paid $195 JOD (~$276 USD) via card and received an e‑receipt.

Our WhatsApp chat ended with them saying:
"Thanks for confirming your payment… Did you receive your e‑receipt?… We will escalate your case now and let you know if any further information is required.”
They confirmed a deadline of Aug 3.

That deadline came and went — no update. Monday — nothing. Tuesday — nothing.

I reached out to the founder, Ibrahim Hamdan, via Instagram. He responded once he realized I wasn’t a new lead, apologized for the delay, and asked me to send the order number and WhatsApp details so he could “look into it.” I sent both immediately.

After that? Total silence.
No more messages. No acknowledgment. No service.

I’d seen a prior 1‑star review but believed their claim it was from a competitor. Big mistake.

This is not a fake review — I’m a real customer, with payment proof, chat logs, and receipts. They took my money and disappeared.

My advice: Avoid this agency completely. Do not trust them with a single dollar.

- Demand 50% upfront payment (375 USDC on Solana) as a “refundable deposit”.
- Confirm payment and promise account recovery within 48 hours.
- Then stop responding (WhatsApp +971 55 880 3684).
- No service delivered, no refund issued.
