Contacted this salon regarding make up for my sons wedding. The girl explained that they had no beautician on site but she woul contact ones that they work with about availability. After a week I called again, spoke to someone who said they were the owner. He checked and said that two were not available and he would get back to me. He never did. Should only be advertised as a hairdresser beauty services aren't available.

I would not recommend this salon. My experience was a poor one, born out of the lack of true consent in terms of price. I paid in advance for a cut, wash and blowdry. The hairdresser was polite but failed to mention that serums and shampoo treatments would cost extra in addition to the price I had already paid. I had assumed as I had paid for the wash prior, that the shampooing of my hair and serums would be included in this price? Unfortunately I was charged £20 extra at the till on my way out, which would have been understandable and acceptable, if I had only been informed in advance. There was no such thing as seeking informed consent. If you choose to charge extra, it would be advisable to inform customers, instead of ambushing them as they leave.

My daughter went to have hair extensions and coloring at this saloon for her 16th birthday and charged us over £1000 for this treatment , absolute joke and rip off. They manipulated a naive young girl and when we complained, they were rude and very unprofessional. Do not use this saloon. Absolute joke , we strongly advise to seek another saloon, who do not rip you off.

My previous hairdresser completely ruined my hair and I paid a lot for it. I was very happy when I found this salon and Tilly has been my hairdresser for almost 2 years. The staff is also very helpful. I am satisfied with the prices, as my hair will always be exactly the way I want it.
I really recommend it.

I booked an appointment as it is close to my work, Eve did my colour and cut - she matched my colour perfectly and i love the cut… i will be back

As soon as you walk through the door you are welcomed by receptionist who is always happy and made to feel comfortable. I had an appointment with Kiarah for a cut and blow dry and she was brilliant took time to cut my hair exactly the way I wanted it Thankyou x

I bought my wife straighteners for her birthday. She tried them once and found they weren’t suitable. After multiple emails with the only response a link to their return policy, I rang McIntyres salon. They informed me that I couldn’t return the straighteners for hygiene reasons as they’d been used (once). John then called me and resolved my issue. Returned straighteners and received a refund. Thanks John

Ordered the hairdryer/straighteners gift travel set ( £328) received it next day … opened it to have a look & wasn’t impressed with the quality so parcelled it back up (£15 for postage) to be told that they had inspected the set & I couldn’t have a refund because I’d used the straighteners, unwrapped the hairdryer wire & the brown outer box was damaged !! ( this was damaged during delivery!!
The set was in my house no longer than 20 minutes after delivery before I took it back to the post office!!
I will not be called a liar & accused of using something I haven’t!
Now they’re returning the gift set to me

It definitely is not worth £328 just because it has GHD on it!
Will not use Mcintyres again

I have been going to Mcintyres for over 20 years and have slowly watched it go from a friendly salon to one that is overpriced, pretentious with a management team that are frankly rude. I have paid the deposit of £35 that they routinely ask ahead of a colour appointment without quibble and rolled it on to my next appointment - imagine my surprise when my deposit has suddenly 'vanished' into thin air. Into the bank of Mcintyres. Not content are they charging in the region of £150 for a cut and colour as well as charging you for PPE that they use and wear anyway, that it washable and not disposable, but they will also lose your deposit. If you dare question it you will get a response like I did from someone who is sleeping with the owner who is some guru who has nothing to do with the hair industry but thinks he can speak to clients like crap. His response to my email - 'The service industry is having to work much harder than usual with restrictions and often doing the impossible for the ungrateful.' So you call a 20 year plus client whose deposit has gone missing in the bank of Mcintyres 'ungrateful'? Disgusting business, shame as the hair dressing staff are lovely - just a case of a business that has got too big for its boots and still trying to live off awards it hasn't won in years. Far better salons out there.

Just recently bought the GHD Lulu set and contacted them due to the mirror being broke during transit. After a couple of lovely emails from Amy and a photo sent, a replacement has been sent with no hassles or problems with excellent customer service aswell I will certainly shopping with them again. Actually found them whilst searching and stopped searching once I found them they had all the products I needed and very competitive with the pricing. Very happy customer.

Received the wrong item, which was sent as they did not have what I ordered in stock. Contacted them about this and arranged to return the item. Was sent recorded and signed for 4 weeks ago - still no refund. Opened a dispute with PayPal to ensure I could get my money back and they have not even responded. A lot of hassle when they could have just e-mailed to say they didn't have the item in stock in the first place and saved me a lot of time and extra effort to recover my money.
