I contacted M&M nurseries about getting a green beech hedge installed at the back of my house. They explained that they would call to walk the job and price it which they did a week or two later. They gave a thorough explanation of what they would do, what it would look like and when they thought they would install the hedge. I also received a written quote on e-mail.

A few weeks later (approximately when they said they would install) they contact me to let me know that they were ready to go and to confirm that I was ready for the job. They turned up on the agreed morning at 0800 in the morning and had the hedge installed by lunchtime. The work was very tidy and professional. They left the garden immaculate after them.
The hedge itself is approximately 30m of hedge, it is tightly planted, secured with steel cable and fence posts and has an irrigation hose buried in the soil to keep it moist. They also left detailed instructions on how to care for the hedge in terms of watering. They sent these on by e-mail as well.
I went with M&M based on a friends recommendation, I would be happy to recommend them to anyone based on the quality of the job they did for me.

The team said they would call at my house at 0800...they were there 3minutes early ...covered my lawn to not damage it...dug a trench for the hedge a took out my clay which they said was OK but not very good and put good clay.. they got on with the job.Our new hedge looks so beautiful...couldn't ask for more! I’m just getting a chance to sit out in my garden in this beautiful warm sunshine for the first time since I got my new hedge. It is absolutely amazing. It has grown so well and is an absolute asset to the house. I’m so glad I got to meet Mike and take his excellent advice. Thee lads did a great job planting and nurturing the hedge. Thank you Darius. We were lucky to get the hedge in just before 'Lockdown' for Covid. Mike and his team did a fantastic job clearing the old wall, putting in the stabilising wire, installing the irrigation pipe, planting the new beech trees then reinstating the garden as far as was practicably possible. It was a good natured, professional and happy experience in a tight weather and pandemic window. An anxious few weeks followed as the old brown leaves fell and we waited for the new growth to appear then to our delight the growth came. 100% success, every tree was a good'un, the whole hedge looking very dense and healthy. We, ourselves and our next door neighbour with whom it was a joint venture, love the hedge. Not only is it a thing of beauty but it provides habitat for birds and insects. We were surprised to see bees appearing to feed from a residue on the leaves. The hedge was better value than I had expected and the total cost, when shared with our neighbour was certainly affordable. No criticisms, no regrets - an all-round happy experience.

Having met Mike from M and M Nurseries for the first time at our home we had a feeling we were in good hands. Mike’s in-depth knowledge and experience answered all of our questions, helped us make the right choices, and allayed any worries or fears in investing in a mature hedge and trees for our site.

To say the results were spectacular would be an understatement. In a day a and a half Mike and his team transformed our site and our home with aplomb, the guys exceeded all of our expectations, and the level of craft and diligence in which they carried out the works was superb. These guys love what they do, they do it with a smile on their face and this is reflected in their work. I cannot praise these guys enough, if you are thinking about hedging or anything garden related, speak to these guys first!!!

A really very professional service. Mike and his excellent team really care about what they do, this comes across in all interaction with them. Plants matter. We had a requirement to incorporate a dog proof fence within our new beech hedge, the team were very resourceful in including this and would highly recommend the combination of fence and hedge for this requirement. Aftercare was excellent with an easy and practical approach to maintaining the hedge.
