Item not as ordered.
Item requested was for support brackets with internal screw points but items delivered have external support points. I will probably be able to use these but very disappointing!

Brilliant service
Brilliant service. I placed my order and my order was given to a local company. I paid around £58 a bag of MOT type 1 by ordering with materials market but my mum ordered from the same company who delivered mine, but directly, and paid £75 a bag, so a big difference in price for the same items! I would definitely recommend materials market. The delivery company were excellent too, keeping me informed with the time and putting the delivery inside my car port. Really helpful, excellent service from all involved and much cheaper ordering via materials market, instead of with the company direct.

First time using this service.
I usually use the same supplier got any timber i need which usually have ok prices. However this time I was ordering it seems a bit pricey, then Materials Market popped up on Facebook to seen what it would cost. £100 cheaper on a order originally costing £370, so quite a decent saving.
Basically what i think happens is Material Market kind of drop ship the materials from a local supplier who fulfill the order.
The company who delivered the items was one i had used in the past but hadn't used for a while, so while they might have made less on this order from materials Market, they have made profit as I was going to order from elsewhere. So I've saved which im happy about, materials Market got a sale and a new customer for the future. The supplier who delivered the good, albeit at a reduced price than they would I've got from their own sales(website). They still made some profit from it, so all winners in this case.
Great idea to keep building materials very competitive. Items that I ordered arrived well, and in good time, delivery driver was polite and items was of good quality, odd length of wood was a bit warped/bowed but, but come off a huge pack so just one of them things with natural timber.
Thanks again, will use again in the future.

I was a little sceptical to use Materials Market as I had never heard of them. I decided to give them a try as another supplier let me down and their prices were competitive.
I have to say I was very impressed with the service. Numerous updates on what was happening and my item delivered by a local company at a cheaper rate than on their own website.
I've had a second order within a week and I am just as happy
I ordered 2 tonne bags of pea gravel first time and 1 tonne of sharp sand on the second. Both delivered within 2 days.
I will definitely be using them again in the future

Order about 8 tonnes of supplies ranging from play bark to mot sub base layer. Everything arrived promptly, easy delivery. Customer service were very good when I called for ETA 🙂

Cant be relied on
they stock nothing and have no control over the supply
they had my order for a week then called me up the day before they where meant to be delivering and told me that not only would they miss the delivery date. they wouldn't ever be able to deliver it!

Yet again I have ordered something and…
Yet again I have ordered something and agreed a delivery date and they have put it back, so that it is now no good to me. As usual I cannot get hold of customer services to cancel it. I few months back I had a lengthy call with someone called Jo from their customer services team, who said that they were grateful for feedback and things were going to improve. Its a shame that the only way you can get a prompt response is by leaving a poor Trustpilot review.
