Lots of good reviews, but be aware ...

Our conservatory roof was damaged in a storm and following appointment by our insurance company, Martindales replaced the roof in October 25. All was fine until it started raining a day or two later and the roof leaked on our newly-laid laminate flooring. The first team to come out applied some silicone sealant to a few joints on the outside of the roof after which it looked nothing like a new roof. The second team seemed to do something similar and said it had not been installed correctly but was now ok. Still looked like a botch job, and still leaked.
Branch manager, Mark, arranged for another team to come up from the midlands to repair the roof yet again. After about 3 hours they advised that the roof had not been installed and sealed correctly and they had sealed some more joints, correctly installed capping etc. they had tested it with a hosepipe and said all was ok. After normal rain (not driving rain) the following day the roof was still leaking
I called and asked to speak to the managing director but was shunned 'they are not available'.
I then received a call from Mark and I suggested that at this stage given what had happened nothing short of the replacing the roof would be acceptable. He stated he wanted to get the manufacturer in to survey it but as replacing the roof was beyond his pay grade he would refer the case to the Area Manager. I requested a call back from the Area manager the same day but did not receive this.
Mid afternoon the following working day I called and asked to speak to the Area Manager. I was told that they had reviewed the notes and were not available to speak to me but they would call me back before close of business the same day. I think it was Mark that called me back later that day but I may be mistaken.
They arranged for an "experienced" fitter and one of the owners of the company to attend and after surveying yet again they confirmed that the roof had indeed not been installed correctly, the flashing was letting in water and this was getting in and running down the internal supports.
They arranged to replace the flashing and all external flashing and also to tidy up the mess that had been left where the wall had been cut into to accommodate the guttering.
This actually happened in February, 4 months after the roof was installed.
In addition when the roof was installed, the downspout from the house guttering was directed into the greenhouse guttering, which to be frank looked a mess. I was told this was all they could do because they "had not been given the parts to do anything else with it".
I had to tidy up the downspout etc. myself to make something that actually worked. When I talked to Mr Martindale on his visit I explained what had happened and he said that the installers should have gone to a building suppliers to obtain the parts required to do a proper job.
These are the facts, I don't like it and I'm sure Martindales won't like it but why should it take four months and four attempts to replace and then repair a conservatory roof with one that doesn't leak?
Good communicators, great to speak to, promise the earth, but unfortunately, in this case they simply did not deliver.
They did arrange for the damaged flooring to be replaced and this has just been done, six months after the roof was actually replaced which means we have waited nearly six months after the roof was replaced by Martindales before we could actually use the conservatory.

Unfortunately, I can only relate our experience of dealing with them, some customers may not have had the same issues. In the end it's your choice whether you use them or not.

I’m so happy with my new front door

I’m so happy with my new front door. It is beautiful and the two guys who put it in this morning were excellent. They arrived punctually, were quick and clean in their work, plus they tidied everything up very well.
I would use them again in a heartbeat!

George fixed the problem

I had the glass in my French door replaced by Martindales a few weeks ago, and since the door was re-hung it has been very difficult to open and close. I emailed to let them know, and today GEORGE came round and fixed it. He was punctual, polite, and efficient and now the door opens better than ever. Thank you George for your great customer service and slick skills to resolve the issue.

Adrian and Kevin replaced three broken windows.
They arrived on time, were quick and faultless, they cleaned up afterwards.
Both friendly and professional.
I would highly recommend.
