Replaced Drum for 2nd Time ....

On 27/10/25 spoke with Colin, agreed a model at £149, paid - delivered prompty. About a week later, it didn't work so cleaned the fan - so soon?. Once cleaned, function resumed until 19/11/25

Machine stopped, cleaned fan again. No change. Emailed and asked advice, on lead which was stiff -replacement lead sent. No change. Emailed. Agreed to replace drum/repair it after some delay (for which they apologised) was sent address label and returned promptly. On receipt, they repaired fault and resent.

On 1/12/2025 as I pushed the LED button, heard 'thud' from drum, realised the fuse was incorporated into the drum unit for LED function and had blown, disabling the drum.

As a veteren of Distiller use, my previous drum of 9 years of service, had a manual switch. If residual water remained after wiping dry (water splashing cannot be entirely avoided) the fuse circuit would deactive on my central fuse box - a matter of disengaging distiller/plugs, switching fuse back on. Once interior of plug had dried, normal function resumed.

On realising that the slightest, residual water would deactivate the machine totally, permanently, emailed for advice. No response. Allowing a few days, emailed again, offering 3 options to simplify decision and prompt resolation:-

Option 1: Despatch replacement drum and once received, I'd return faulty one immediately. Option 2: Refund the amount and the disabled product will be returned, guaranteed. Have sent follow-up emails since, the most recent, on 9/12 emphasising the promised '24-hour response' to emails. A few days after above review, Colin emailed with apology, promising to replace which he did.

Design Fault: LED circuit board rather than fuse. Remedy: Replace with manual switch or internal replaceable fuse. Instruction

Advertising a '2-year Warranty' implies confidence by the manufacturer/retailer in the longevity and quality of the product.

Unscrewed base to see this fuse 'located in the back socket' and replace myself. No fuse - circuit board.

Following above review, Colin emailed apology promising to replace drum which I received promptly.

All was well until 28/12 on 2nd run, jug had filled 1/3rd. Cleaned, refilled, all OK. 29/12 ditto. Checked troubleshooting in manual. Nozzle tube cleaned, fan OK, so resumed, placing kitchen towel behind nozzle for signs of water spillage. All went well. 2nd round, same loss of water. Seal? This has to be removed every 3 months and cleaned. As I'd purchased 2 months before with about 10 days total out of use, not prepared to unscrew 6 screws to remove and clean. So, used heavy tape to seal it and keep fan stable/avoid leakage. For what amounts to a glorified kettle, this is a high-maintenance product. I will wash out the seal as recommended but wonder ..... whatever next?

The manual needs updating on 2 points: the 'fuse' instruction and the steel nozzle attachment instructions. It is impossible to fit the attachment into the plastic slot: it goes easily and securely above it.

Should WP:

*Revert to manual switch, dropping the LED
*Or replace circuit board with a replaceable fuse

*Modified Fan seal to one more secure and durable
*Provided time-sensitive response and resolution

They'd up their ratings
Attract more customers,
Reduce time in repairs/returns.

The 'new and improved' is so often the case, detrimental to business and customer endurance.

Will keep you posted ...have never before posted such a review as this or had need to. I know it's 'policy' to avoid refunds but a partial refund would be in order rather than the additional burden of seeking legal redress.

Updated manual, included Terms and Conditions and provided efficient response-turnaround to enquiries ...

Excellent distillers and on the whole…

Excellent distillers and on the whole good service from the company. Somewhat disappointed that my second unit purchased in 2015 (I'm now on my third) although still working is unusable because the company can't supply a new fan seal of the correct size meaning I've had to purchase a complete new distiller for the sake of a rubber seal.

The machine is now 6 weeks in service

The machine is now 6 weeks in service. I use it 3 x week. It quietly hums along producing distilled water that registers 1 on my tester. I have owned other models where the fan unit was tightly wedged. This one is designed with a rubber or silicone seal and the fan unit slides off with minimum exertion. The jug neatly fits below the spout to catch the flow. I am really pleased to have this unit.

A bad experience made better.

Bit of a rollercoaster ride with this company so far. Initially good experience, then when my boiler failed and was subsequently lost in the post by the chosen courier, things became very disappointing, especially as I had an extended 5 warranty with accidental damage and the product was only 6 months old. However, i respect that the company has listened to my points of view and made efforts to make me a happy customer again, which is good to see. Just wish it didn't have to get to that point. Anyway, I hope that my relationship with Waterpure continues to improve. You cant ask for much more when somethings goes bad, than someone who listens and tries to sort it out. The boiler operation is simple and hopefully it will not break down again.

Crap Review For A Crap Service

Sadly this company seems to have gone to the dogs. I have been using them for years and they were good suppliers with great customer service, and now you can't even speak to anyone on the phone and customer service emails just get ignored, yet believe it or not I am an affiliate...not for much longer as I can no longer recommend their product to any of my clients due to the fact that I have been waiting 2 weeks for a reply for an order that one of my clients placed and it's now 3 weeks and he has still not received the order and nobody seems to care.

From reading the reviews something started going wrong in 2023 as the majority of reviews in 2024 seem absolutely appalling. If there was a zero star rating that is exactly what I would have chosen.

I suspect that they may have switched their production from Thailand to China as their distillers used to be the best quality but I am seeing a lot of people complaining about quality. Not good. What a shame!

Poor customer service…AVOID!!

Received mine on the 6th of January 2025 and within a month it started playing up. They responded quickly for it to be repaired but within another month it had completely stopped working again. Now they are ignoring emails as seems to be standard for them once they have passed the 30 day period. I purchased another one that was a lot cheaper from a different company so I had one to use whilst my waterpure one was sent back and I have had no issues at all and this one is being used 2 twice a day.
I originally purchased from waterpure thinking the extra price tag would be a better product with good customer service but I couldn't of been more wrong, just a white labelled product with VERY poor customer service.
If for some reason you insist on buying one from them just make sure you use a credit card to cover yourself.
This part is directly for waterpure as you seem to reply to some people on trust pilot but then ignore emails still. The last email I sent was 22nd March stating the 14days so you will easily find me. All I wanted was a product that worked but that's obviously too much to ask for so now I will have to play the silly game of trying to get my money back. I shall be leaving an honest review on every video or post I see across social media along with making my own, I now see why you have turned of comments on all your YouTube videos.
Would it not be easier to stand by your product offer the support you should and then reap the rewards of having a honest business.

When is a 4l capacity water distiller only 3l? When you buy from WaterPure

I bought a 4 litre water distiller from WaterPure with a 4 litre jug.

Imagine my surprise today when I checked the capacity.

This supposed 4 litre water distiller is in fact only a 3 litre water distiller.

When I ordered a 4 litre distiller I had calculated that capacity as just about right and have been wondering why I have had to make distilled water so often and now I know.

This is not merely a total rip-off along with the rip-off cost of £24+ for the cleaner and then more £ss other add-ons. This is either deliberate misleading of the public - which can be a criminal offence - or it displays an amazing level of incompetence.

Whichever way one looks at this the company is robbing the public by selling 3 litre water distillers claiming they are 4 litre when not.

I am shocked.

I didn't even want to give this Company…

I didn't even want to give this Company 1 star, my advice would be "do not order from this Company". They have zero customer service skills and have ignored messages from me, when I emailed them again they reply sometimes without an apology and have the most vague unhelpful one liner replies. I ordered a distiller nearly 1 month ago, they sent it by FedEx who kept it in their warehouse in Dublin for 3 weeks and did not attempt delivery once. Apparently Waterpure didn't send on the customer invoice to Fedex. When I informed them of this they sent another distiller with Royal Mail, well I've been tracking it on Royal mail and they have it still in England over 2 weeks now. No information on tracking, doesn't look like it will be sent to Ireland. I rang Royal mail and was informed they have no record of my tracking number. Water Pure are fraudulent, they do not care its been a month since I ordered, they never apologised once for the delay, they took my money and said they can't refund it because it might be delivered when they know they didn't even give the package to Royal mail. If I knew I would have so much trouble I would never have ordered from them. They are rude, they don't care about their customers, they don't even give an explanation for delay or enquire with the courier. This company should be shut down, they said they were sending the distiller on next day delivery which is 2 or 3 days to Ireland, why has it been almost two weeks. There is no explanation only that they never handed over the package, probably just generated a tracking number.

Just bought the 4 Litre Stainless Steel…

Just bought the 4 Litre Stainless Steel Water Distiller with Glass Jug. It is impossible to assemble the glass jug as you need to attach 2 steel rims to the glass jug to hold the handle. The pieces do not hold together to allow you to screw in the handle. There are 2 metal moveable blocks that must stay in place before you screw the handle in and it is impossible to keep them in place. So you can't put handles on the jug. I asked for a return / refund and they make you pay for the return postage. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I just received a unit that does not power on , I have emailed them on several occasions without a reply. I sent one last email, and if they do not respond I will be escalating to a court claim. Customer service is non - existent .if they rectify my issue, I will remove this feedback but so far it’s poor. D Davis

I bought a water distiller machine last in September 2024 and straight away the machine broke and I got electrocuted few times. The boiler chamber was replaced and few weeks ago the broke again.

Approached the support and I was advised the despite having 2 years warranty to :On the right hand plug socket on the boiling chamber there should be a fuse slot, please use a screwdriver to pull out the slot ( do not unscrew anything ) and swap the fuses with the spare inside.

I refused and asked for a full refund and they offered me another replacement which I do not want as these machines are not fit for purpose and below the trading standards and today they confirmed after ghosting me for 3 days that I was scammed when the replaced the first boiler chamber

The reason the new replacement we previously sent you has still has issues is at the point in time we didn’t have a new part available to resolve the solution so sent out a tested boiling chamber.

We are going to send you a new boiling chamber which has a new part which resolves the issue you have been having.

This is being sent out today with a new fan unit seal.

I will sue you and report to the right authority and hopefully you will be stopped from trading

Amazing customer service and great distiller

I had my distiller for about a year and a half, and it suddenly started to trip the electrics when I turned it on. I emailed for help and received a reply literally within a minute. After sending pictures through, I received a reply diagnosing the issue within 3 minutes (I needed to replace the seal), and this conversation took place late in the evening!

Delivery was prompt for the replacement seal, and it did the trick - distiller runs with no problems at all again now.

And it definitely does the job. My tap water has 0.53 EC (electrical conductivity) = 339ppm TDS (total dissolved solids). The distilled water has 0.01 EC = 6.4ppm TDS - and it's probably even less, as my device simply isn't sensitive enough to measure in the 0.000 EC range.

Very happy with the product and with the customer service - would definitely recommend.

Poor customer service get back

Do not use this company, they are dishonest and sound like they're run from their garage. They owed me a refund for equipment that didn't work. Still owe it a year later.

Untrained incompetent customer service staff

Never had problems before. But purchased new machine, arrived faulty only to have to then deal with the most rudest useless incompetent customer service staff ever. Maybe a bit of training wouldnt go a miss or even better, sack them and hire from scratch. Will never recommend anyone to them ever

I have 38 messages due to one return. Staff where rude, disrespectful and lied about machine being misplaced. Nothing you can say can rectify the shocking service i recieved. The two years of filters are not unappreciated as im not a rude person, although this is the first I've heard about this. But i will make sure i get them. I just wanted a fully working machine which i had paid for.

You were assisted within hours by our support team and were promptly given a free return label so it could be sent back to us to inspect. We received the return on Thursday and it was checked and resolved on Tuesday which is 3 working days. I appreciate nobody likes to have to return something but sometimes these things happen, when they do, as in this case, we are here to promptly assist and resolve. I can also see we included 2 years filters free of charge with your return as a good will gesture to show our appreciation for your patience. Using daily since end of 2020 - still working perfectly

I'm leaving a review to create some balance here, not to invalidate anyone's negative reviews of course!

I bought my distiller (the stainless steel and glass version) at the end of 2020. I've used it daily since - with vile city water which left behind a murky brown residue - so using this distiller probably saved my health!

My current home, I am distilling water sourced from a private well that is not that deep, so it perfect for removing potential farm chemical run-off. The additional charcoal filters are fantastic for filtering out some aroma that can sometimes be left behind from our waters high iron content.

One issue I have with the machine itself, is that there is no off button. I have to switch the plug off at the socket and if it's been on for a long time, sparks will fly out which is obviously not ideal nor safe. No matter how much water I put in it, the distiller stays on for an extra few minutes after the water has already evaporated from the distillation chamber, this leaves the chance of the residue burning very high. It would be great if there was a feature to turn it off more safely so that I could make sure and stop the distillation process while there is still a small bit of water in it. That's my reason for taking off one star.

I've also dealt with customer service through email (in 2022) when I had an issue with the residue remover replacement sachets arriving, it was dealt with once I provided proof of ordering - after a little confusion back and forth, but it all worked out fine in the end.

Maybe after seeing some one star support reviews here I need to go elsewhere. Shame realy all my friends and relatives wanting to buy have left it to me to do the research so likely going to miss out on many orders.

Do not buy from this company!

Update. Two weeks of not being able to distill any water and not a single email acknowledged by Make water pure. They've got time to write nonsense on Trust pilot though 🤡. They will continue to be ignored here. I will be reporting to trading standards tomorrow morning and contacting my bank for a full refund.

Edit in response: Once again disgustingly 'Make water pure' ignore both emails and live chat messages, but can reply here! Potential customers - read other very similar experiences - this is how corrupt scammers operate. £200+ wasted on a non functioning machine, endless frustration, lost time trying to get it resolved, we rely on distilled water due to ill health and have collectively lost months not being able to distill any. DO NOT SPEND A SINGLE PENNY WITH MAKE WATER PURE you will deeply regret it.

Having previously been messed around trying and to buy replacement glass nozzle due to the badly designed machine, they sent filters and no nozzle and didn't rectify it for over 4 months and only gave in with my repeated updated reviews on Trustpilot. Now the distiller won't stay on for more than 5 minutes and is utterly useless!! They've ignored my email and live chat message from 5 days ago. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ABHORRENT COMPANY! I will be contacting trading standards.
