From our initial enquiry Annie was helpful and informative and put together a package to suit us. We had a wonderful few days away in the Wilderness Hotel Muotka, the excursions were fabulous and the accommodation and food was excellent. The app with all the information itinerary and links was really helpful. We were very lucky to see the northern lights on two evenings. I would highly recommend Magnetic North Travel and would certainly book with them again.

Annie organised the perfect weekend for me and my daughter according to the brief I outlined...fabulous accommodation, great skating experience and seamless organisation.

I liked the personnal touch we did have some problems on our holiday and Annie was always available to help. Both the hotels we stayed in were also really lovely. However overall we were disappointed with the holiday. We had specifically gone with this company as they advertised ice skating and had made it very clear that our purpose in going was to be able to skate on outside ice. I feel we were not given correct information at all about the chances of being able to ice skate (we did no ice skating at all -but were told there was 90% chance or more of skating- when we arrived this was patently not the case) and if we had been give this information we would have probably selected a different place and operator in Scandinavia with whom we had previoulsy travelled and skated with

Magnetic North Travel organised the honeymoon of our dreams in the Arctic - from the accommodation to the outings and activities, everything was tailored to what we wished to do. While we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights (the weather was fairly overcast throughout), our contact Annie did everything she could to help us move outings around so we could still do everything and have something to do everyday. We appreciated having such a kind and helpful interlocutor, and that the trip was so well and thoroughly organised. The locations we visited (Tromsø and Svolvær) were stunning. We’ll particularly remember the sea eagle safari in Svolvær and our stay in a rorbu cabin. All in all, we strongly recommend Magnetic North Travel!

Laura and Annie provided an amazing service in arranging flights, hotel, cruise and excursions for my ‘bucket list’ trip to Norway! Communication was prompt and clear, and they were very patient in answering my never-ending list of questions. Huge thanks to Laura for organising a wonderful trip to Northern Norway for my friend and me! We loved our short stay in pretty Tromsø and would recommend the cable car excursion to the top of the mountain and visiting the peaceful and inspiring Arctic cathedral. The Arctic Panorama Lodge overlooking the spectacular Lyngen fjord where we spent the following three nights is beautiful, stylish, warm, comfortable, and homely. We were made extremely welcome by the lovely owners who looked after us so well with delicious homemade meals and transported us to our excursions. We loved husky sledging through snowy forests and were lucky enough to see orcas and humpback whales on our whale watching trip. The Northern lights made an appearance too, and although they were not particularly colourful, we were fortunate to have seen them. Everyone we met throughout our stay was friendly and helpful. This was an incredible experience, from start to finish. Laura at Magnetic Travel was recommended by a friend, and it was a superb recommendation. In the planning stages, she tweaked things until we were absolutely happy with the trip, and no detail was too small. The app is fantastic, and the adventure itself... out of this world! Iceland is a wonderful country and will hold a special place in my heart. The food at the Hotel Ranga was exquisite, the hot tubs were the ultimate luxury and the Northern Lights wake-up call ensured that we saw the most miraculous night sky, on fire with the aurora. The super jeep tour with Midgard Adventures was an absolute highlight, and our stay in Reykjavik was wonderful. Every day was full of new delights, and we can't wait to start planning the next big adventure!

This was truly an incredible experience which ran faultlessly from start to finish . A quick explore in Tromso and then up to Uloya and the wonderful Arctic Panorama Lodge for two days of Whale watching and the most wonderful NorthernLights - the hosts Svein and Aud were warm and welcoming and again , every detail had been covered. The food was superb too and such a nice change to sample food true to the area ! Thank you, thank you , thank you !!

Laura at Magnetic North organised the holiday of a lifetime for my husband's 40th. The planning was absolutely seamless and stress-free, and on the trip itself everything ran like clockwork. I usually organise holidays myself but for this I wanted to off-load the stress of booking multiple excursions/transfers etc. elsewhere and I am SO glad I did!

We packed so much into 5 amazing days in northern Norway: saw the northern lights on 3 nights, saw humpback and orca whales, went husky sledding through a winter wonderland national park, and went to a spa on a renovated fishing boat in Tromso harbour which is maybe one of the coolest things I've ever done. We've only been back 2 days and I'm already eyeing up their other trips...

I started to look at planning a trip to see the Northern Lights for our 25th anniversary, this was the top on my wife's bucket list. After 3-4 months of looking I emailed multiple travel agents. Laura Greenman from Magnetic North Travel was the first to respond and she called within 30 minutes. She listened to what we liked, didn't like, lodging expectations, activities and overall what would be our ideal trip. Laura went above and beyond by looking at locations in Norway, Sweden and Finland for us to review. We landed on Sweden in the fall. Every aspect of our trip was planned out to perfection from our pickup at the airport, transfers to lodging in Stockholm, up to the Lapland and back to Stockholm.
Our days were spent either wandering around a historic city, hiking in unspoiled forests, spending time on and around rivers, relaxing in saunas and learning about different cultures. Our nights were filled with good food, gazing at stars & the aurora, chatting with locals, sitting by fires, & listening to music in quaint Irish pubs in Stockholm.
During our time in the Swedish Lapland Laura planned for us to go canoeing/fishing, dog sledding (training for the winter), Northern Lights tour (yes we saw the Norther Lights 4 times during our two week trip), hiking and a day with a Sami reindeer herder. Every tour was on time, our guides were delightful, cooked us lunch fireside and it made our trip one of a lifetime. From a couple who has been to Europe many times, this was the first time we used a travel agent. I would 10000% use Laura again to book our travel and when we visit Norway she will be my first call. As my wife said Sweden exceeded our expectations and was a magical trip. Magnetic North provided us with their own app that contained all of our transfers, contacts at each property, flight schedules with updates and times for departure. This relieved all of the stress from our trip and allowed us to just enjoy our time away.

We enjoyed our stay in Iceland. Thanks to Laura for preparing an awesome itinerary for us. Hotel Ranga is the gem 👍 The app really helps us to navigate & keep our daily activities on track. We appreciate your quick replies to all our questions. We even got a response in the evening. Last minute trip plan on our last day in Iceland was amazing. We were able to see puffins !

I take my big family (including mom, nieces and nephews) once a year for a short break. We have chosen to go to Iceland and were fortunate to have Laura at Magnetic North to organise the trip. I have to admit it was a truly unique experience that we thoroughly enjoyed. Laura was very professional and made it hassle free. The selection of activities and tours were relevant and appropriate. A remarkable and memorable journey.

Magnetic North put together a Norwegian sightseeing trip from Oslo to Bergen for a group of 8 of us. As we were in the planning stage, Laura Greenman was constantly available for our questions and needs. The arrangements were perfect. Each traveler downloaded their own version of the trip app, customized with their itinerary, tickets and adventures for each day and giving us a preview of what highlights we would see. The hotels were perfectly located and the guides were charming, knowledgable and fun. It could not have been better and every one of us gives them a 5-star rating.

Five star customer service from Magnetic North, who listened to what I wanted from a retirement holiday to Northern Norway in July and got the balance, contrast and variety just right. I appreciated the extra tips on restaurants and the luxury choice of Nusfjord Arctic Resort to end our holiday. The highlight was our stay in the less visited Vesteralen Islands as the welcome of the wonderful host there, and her cooking, simply made the trip. History, beauty, and peace and quiet with the water lapping below, will stay with me. We did a lot of driving, from Tromso to the Lofoten islands and were so grateful for MN’s assistance when there was an airline strike on our home bound leg, 3 flights seamlessly reorganised with efficiency and good humour. I would really recommend Magnetic North and hope to travel again with them!

Magnetic North Travel designed a fantastic and unforgettable holiday in Sweden. We had quite complex travel requirements because family members were arriving from different locations. Laura and her team responded to everything we asked of them promptly and with great thoughtfulness, making everything work seamlessly. They also built on our basic outline plans with huge creativity and included fabulous local activities (floating sauna, kayaking, candy cane making!) which we had not thought of and which really enhanced our experience. We recently worked with Magnetic North Travel to schedule a vacation to Norway and Sweden. Laura was very helpful and customized the trip to meet our needs. They had an application that we downloaded to our phone so that we could track our travels throughout the trip. When we showed it to another couple while we were traveling they said "Boy I wish we had that it would make things so much easier". They obviously didn't have as clear communication.

We compared Magnetic North to a couple other agencies through zicasso and found them to have the best trip options. Once we talked to them, we were able to incorporate our type of trip, active, and what we wanted to do along the way.

While on the trip, we ran into a couple items. I whatsapp'ed Laura and she took care of things immediately. One item was a miscommunication on a meeting place. She contacted the company and had a taxi take us to the new meeting place. Very friendly and accomidating.

I would highly recommend Magnetic North if you are planning to go to Norway or Sweden. It felt like a trip we would have booked.

Dealing with Laura at Magnetic North has been nothing short of wonderful. We had planned our 10 day trip to 6 cities in three countries way back in 2019 and needless to say, due to Covid it had to be postponed for two years. I feared it would become a nightmare trying to reschedule but it was flawless. Our preferences were taken into consideration in the purposed itinerary. Everything was planned perfectly. The hotel selections were ideally located to suit our plans and made easy work maneuvering each city. Transfers to airports and train stations were on time and easy. The Magnetic North travel app made easy work of keeping important documents at our fingertips as well as useful options like a map with points of interest and the weather. I wouldn't hesitate at all trusting Magnetic North to plan any future Scandinavian trips for us.
