Recently visited the church lane branch for pain in the eye. Rachel D got us seen same day, and Richard Mackey took the appointment. Couldn't be happier with the service, staff are incredible. Highly recommend.

Have been a regular for quite a while always found staff very pleasant and helpful.
Explained all to help me understand and what to do if certain problems persist.

I have now used two Mackey Opticians. Portadown and church Lane. I couldn't fault either. Everyone was fantastic from booking the appointment to collecting my new glasses - 10/10. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Andrew Petticrew is an excellent optometrist. Very thorough, patient and generous with his time. Highly recommend! Also appreciated the expert help from Lorena to choose the right frames.

Have attended Mackeys Woodstock branch for 24 years, my daughters have always gotten their glasses and sight tests from there also. Recently, I had taken my 2 step-sons for their sight tests. Hannah was fantastic with them. She found that my older step son had fluid around his eye nerves and referred him very quickly to the hospital where he was found to have IIH. We are very grateful for how quickly this was sorted and noticed by Hannah. Rosanne is also very friendly and helpful and always helps up with our queries quickly.

Very poor customer service and after sales was unbelievable. Tried to support a local business and the national chain was 40% of the price and took only 10 days. My glasses took 3 weeks to arrive followed by other 2 weeks before a fitting appointment. When I called and asked for my prescription had to wait 3 days, yet the national chain I had been with perviously provided this over the phone when I was getting my eyes tested with this company.

I had a great experience at this opticians. They were very flexible in getting me in to pick out new glasses. I dealt with Sharon on the shop floor, and she was really lovely, very helpful, I was worried before visiting that I would be pushed a sale on expensive glasses but Sharon didn’t try to push any frames that didn’t suit me. She even suggested more affordable frames that I had initially selected, which I really appreciated. I really valued her style advice as I find it difficult to choose the right pair. The optician I spoke to Saoirse (sorry if I misheard your name!), briefly, was also really nice. They’ve got a great selection of glasses at cheap prices, and the customer service was excellent. I’ll definitely be returning and would happily recommend them. Thank you!

Excellent service from booking your eye test to collecting your new glasses. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, the craic is great too!
Their Portadown branch is first class, service and definitely the staff are the best that I have come across

I have a rare eye condition (Pellucid) and struggled to find someone who not only knew and understood what the condition was about but also someone who could help improve my sight. I found Andrew Petticrew through a google search and after initial email contact I booked my appointment with him.

That was approx 15 years ago and Andrew through his professional expertise and advice has always found a solution to my degenerative eye condition.

If you are struggling with your eyesight and looking for expert advice then I highly recommend Andrew. In my opinion you will struggle to find a better Optometrist in NI who has the knowledge and skill to help you with your eyesight concerns. And all done in a friendly and welcoming manner.

Today I picked up my new glasses and the lovely Lorena ensured that they were a perfect fit before I left the shop.

I recently was called for my regular eye exam, I had my eyes tested and there was a slight change in my prescription. Having decided to get new frames I was assisted by Rachel who was amazing, she took her time and assisted me in getting the frames that suited me and spent the time in choosing the right lenses for me, and measured everythingtwice to ensure i had the perfect fit. I collected my new glasses today, and I'm over the moon with them Rachel again took the time to fit the glasses, and ensure I could see properly with the varifocals. I can't thank Rachel enough for taking the time and ensuring I had what I needed.

I have been going to Mackey’s in Holywood for years. Lee and the team are so welcoming and friendly.
Any of the opticians I have dealt with have been very professional and informative. There are an excellent range of glasses and the staff are helpful in choosing what suits me.
I was even squeezed in for an emergency appointment on the day I had an issue with my eye.
Highly recommend.

Welcomed by sharon, friendly and approachable, a lovely clean and well presented store. Short wait for optician sorcha who was friendly, knowledgeable and took her time to explain everything which made for a comfortable eye test. I had gone in with the thought of just having an eye test and ordering online but the care and attention i received and no nonsense sales approach made me think twice. When sharon told me the offers and starting price i realised the price was reasonable and hardly any difference in price from online retailers. Altogether a very positive experience, very pleased.

The staff at the Cookstown branch are amazing. They are dedicated and hard working and provide an excellent customer service.

I was initially created by Fiona, warm friendly and efficient ,Mark did my eye test and his attention to detail is second to none. I feel very reassured with Marks analysis and expertise.highly recommend this branch to anyone who needs an eye exam or test.

I had never been for a proper eye test in my life until a month ago. I was anxious about the test and Amanda at the Newtownards Mackey's Branch was recommended to me. She was excellent and thorough. Thank you Amanda!

All the fitting staff were also excellent. I dealt mainly with Heather who spent ages going through all the frames with me until we got one that suited. It took some time to get used to the varifocal lenses and the staff were very accommodating and changed the glasses to a lens which is better for me.
