This has been one of the best experiences of my life.

Eight months ago I first met Leander for the Puppy Arrival Service. He was with me the hour my 8 week old Clumber Spaniel arrived and gave me and my wife complete confidence to deal with this helpless little chap, and I learned so much about puppies my head was in a spin. What we got was a beautifully behaved, non-whining, not jumping infant dog whom we did not resent, as well as the ability to call Leander with any questions before the training programme began at 4 months.

This was when things became simply remarkable. We started off on the Advanced Training Programme and soon realised the very best thing for us and the dog was the Elite: full off leash, complete confidence. This means six months of 4 sessions a week and it has quite literally changed my life. I learned as much as I did on my Master's degree and have not only mastered how to train dogs but also discovered so much about myself and been able to reflect on how I interact with dogs and humans. If you want small talk and cuddles then this probably isn't for you, however, your dog will be much the poorer for missing out. If you want to become a fully compitent dog handler and to grow into that role then I can't imagine a better programme. Basil can now come to a pub and sit through a lunch, go to church and be calm during a funeral, will stay at my heal in a park full of playing or reactive dogs, is not fazed by going on the bus or tube, or by passing lorries or motorbikes or sirens. He went on his first shoot recently and none of the beaters or keepers could believe how confident and obedient he was. It is giving him the very best life, meeting all his genetic needs, and making him happy and balanced, and I am so grateful for this remarkable service.

This will undoubtedly be responded to with a variety of lies based on the previous reviews I’ve read, but I’ve just witnessed two trainers wearing Lupine Canine shirts choking three Belgian Malinois (including a small puppy around 4-5 months) and yanking them by their leads to force them to sit for a photo. The older male trainer was shouting “Don’t give in, don’t let them do it”. Taking into account that it’s 28°C and the tarmac is boiling, these trainers clearly have no concern for the wellbeing of the dogs in their care. Please find someone who will train your dog in a way that isn’t cruel and abusive.

We have had so many “famous” dog trainers & behaviorist in the whole 4years of existence of our GR- who is extremely phobic of street walking, noises and eventually the dog park which stopped all the walkies recently. Leander’s training and behaviour modification has made enormous change to the dog.It was a full reset of all the previous wrong training & instilling the correct handling and correct behaviour. Obedience Training is an absolute musts for anyone looking to have a dog. Its not only the dog that has been trained but us all as handlers. We have learned so much and the dog is happier than ever living her Dog Life.
Will definitely recommend Leander. He absolutely knows everything about dog’s psyche, behaviour, handling and training. No wonder he is a Kennel Master. Thumbs up! Best in UK.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this company when I inquired about puppy training. I contacted them to arrange a session, and the owner – who seemed more interested in hearing himself talk than listening to my needs – kept me on the phone for an hour. His aggressive communication style made me realize this wasn't the right fit for my family, so I decided not to proceed. To my shock, I was later sent an invoice for £300, despite no mention of fees for the initial call. This feels less like a legitimate business and more like a scam. I would strongly advise against dealing with them – their response was unprofessional and, frankly, hostile and nasty when they didn’t get my business.

After rescuing a three-year-old Belgian Malinois (Darcy), I realised I needed help. She had been abused by her previous owner, making her skittish, wilful and unresponsive to basic commands. It was apparent there was very little trust between us, and I began to doubt my decision to adopt her.

When I met Leander, the kennel master at Lupine Canine, I knew he was the perfect match for both Darcy and me. His understanding of canine behaviour is beyond exceptional, and I was in awe of how quickly and instinctively he built a trust bond with Darcy the first time he met her. I’ve had other dogs previously, and worked with different trainers over the years, but Leander’s holistic and transformational approach to dog behaviour and wellbeing is totally unique. He promised that by the end of our eight-week advance obedience training program, I’d have a happy, well-behaved, compliant dog and Darcy and I would share an unbreakable, mutual trust bond. Even though eight weeks ago it seemed incomprehensible, he has delivered on that promise and I couldn’t be happier!

Leander showed me how to build and evolve a lasting trust bond with Darcy and my confidence has returned knowing she’s focused and acts on commands like heel, heel sit, down, look, stay. Importantly, she now returns on recall and interacts politely with people and other dogs. Walks in the park are no longer a worry, they’re enjoyable!

Having had a traumatic past, Darcy lacked confidence in new situations. As with most rescue dogs she hated vets’ visits and wouldn’t even jump in the car boot, but Leander showed her how these everyday experiences can be enjoyable, by using lots of positive reinforcement. In fact, Darcy now loves jumping so much she leaps over park benches for fun – thanks again to Leander for building her confidence to try new things and show her that the world is a place to enjoy, full of trust and positivity.

Her road safety skills are amazing too! She’s conditioned to sit at every curb until told to cross. I’m so proud of her! Her learning was accelerated by mirroring her two training companions, Atlas and Callisto, Leander’s Belgian Malinois.

Leander has been incredibly supportive, and I recommend the advanced obedience course as an investment well worth making. It was definitely the best decision I could have made. Being able to spend each day with the four-legged friend I’ve always hoped for, is the best feeling ever and that’s all thanks to Lupine Canine.

Lupine Canine have been incredible in helping me with my dog, Harry. Harry was territorial in the home with other animals (even ones on TV) and extremely ball possessive on walks where he would lunge at other passing dogs. Leander not only aided me in understanding how and why he was like this, but went above and beyond what I was expecting in his rehabilitation and training. The road safety training and added dog walks were amazing, just knowing Harry was being well looked after. Today Harry is such a calm and well mannered dog, both of us couldn't be happier! Thank you

We had the pleasure of working with Leander helping us with our young cockapoo. I know it may sound dramatic but it really has helped our lives in ways we weren’t even expecting. He is now such a calm dog and fully road safety trained, which is something we hadn’t even thought about. He doesn’t pull on the lead at all and listens to every command. Just seen two trainers in a local park with collars and remotes shocking the dogs.

We can’t recommend Lupine Canine and more specifically Leander highly enough.

We have a 4 year old Bouvier Des Flandres called Parker and we were struggling with his behaviour, his wariness of strangers, sporadic lunging at random cars, joggers, bikes and the odd passer-by was not only dangerous and frightening but extremely stressful both for us and Parker.

We knew he was a great dog, gentle, generally calm at home and intelligent but we were failing him as owners and handlers and making his life and ours a misery. Fortunately, we stumbled across Lupine Canine and more importantly Leander on Instagram and from the first meeting we knew that we had found the right person to educate us and rehabilitate Parker.

Leander has a genuine passion for what he does and an immense love for dogs, which I’m not sure you can say about all dog trainers. He will admit himself that he probably communicates better with the dogs than their human counterparts but to be honest that is probably exactly what you need.

We enrolled in Elite off leash obedience with some behaviour modification and for 4 days a week for around 4 months we worked with Leander. It’s not quick and It’s not necessarily easy but it is amazingly effective and without doubt one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. It has transformed our relationship with Parker and more importantly it has transformed Parkers life into one that he can now fully and safely enjoy as a confident, calm balanced dog, and for that we will be forever grateful to Leander and the rest of the team at Lupine Canine.

Our dog Svea, a 3yr GS Mali x, requires a very skilled handler to walk her and who understands her training and stimulation needs to keep her out of trouble. Svea took to Laurenzay straight away (that in itself says a-lot about him) and she lights up when he comes to walk her. She comes home beaming and content. We feel absolutely confident that she has a brilliant walk but also that her training protocols are followed so she can continue to thrive and develop. Lupine Canine is the best if you actually want a trained and well-mannered dog. Their training method helps train the puppy and humans (both big and small) to learn to communicate together for the best possible outcome.

Leander and his team were amazing. There’s no better way to train your dog than to do it with their expert guidance. I learned so much. Castor is now a model of deportment!

I love my dog, he is truly one of the loves of my life. We had him since he was a puppy and thanks unfortunately to a pitbull attack when he was just over a year old I and by consequence Atlas developed some sort of anxiety at the sight of other dogs and this resulted in Atlas becoming reactive to other dogs (not all but a vast majority). As I envisioned dog companionship to be off leash and free it was heartbreaking that we could essentially not let Atlas off the leash except for in dog parks when they were empty. For over a year Atlas was on the leash, when I discovered that you could send your dog off for "residential" training, a few weeks training on site at substantial cost. We sent him away twice, as the first time didn't work and while he was gone for the second time (no change) we were flat-hunting in West London when I saw Leander, with two Belgian Malinois and a collie stopping at the curb as he walked off it and wait until motioned to cross. I leaned out of the car and read Lupine Canine at the back of his jacket. Promptly sent him an Instagram message and he answered, followed by an hour call about dog psychology and how Atlas life could look like with proper leadership...something he was sorely lacking from us, evidently ... We spent 3 months, 5 days a week, 1-1.5 hrs a day, working on Atlas obedience, heel, come, go, stay, look etc, he nailed it within 3 weeks and the remaining 2 plus months we worked on behaviour modification. From being on leash for over a year, and part husky at that (you sadly don't see many huskies off leash in London or anywhere) Atlas is free. In my humble opinion, Leander is the best dog trainer there is.

I had an outstanding experience with Lupine their positive and modern approach to canine training sets them apart. Leander shows genuine care and a deep understanding of dogs, teaching me positive reinforcement techniques and how to use my energy to motivate my dog and me! The psychological insight he shared (why my dog behaves the way it does) helped me focus on building trust and cooperation. We received exceptional personalised training tailored to our needs.
It's weird to read some reviews here; they're misleading and don't match my experience. My dog's transformation was remarkable; people need not form judgements based on their insecurities and lack of understanding of how to motivate dogs.

Witnessed one of their "handlers" behind the Kensington Town hall few weeks ago. I had to stop as I could not believe how a poor, sweet dog was treated. I almost felt compelled to call the police...

Plain horrific, archaic, macho, para-military attitude.
The "handler" was "walking" a poor cocker spaniel in a tiny grass area, constantly jerking the dog on the neck collar for no reasons whatsoever, whilst the "handler" was constantly on his phone and shouting to his two, off-lead malinois.

I felt sorry for the poor little dog and for his owner, who perhaps is unaware of the horrific treatment reserved to his or her dog.
Several dog owners and residents in the area are aware of the this company and their border-line cruelty methods and have already complained.

Hard to believe these days people are still using coercive, punishment-based methods to "train" dogs, which truly belong to several decades ago. Clearly this individual never opened a modern book on positive reinforcement and modern canine training/ psychology. Or how to be just kind to a sentient being.

I see this gentleman working in my neighbourhood often and I am appalled by his methods. Outdated aggressive dominance theory has no place in modern dog care. If you are looking for a dog trainer or kennel provider and you love your dog, PLEASE do not use this company. Please find a Positive Reinforcement trainer or behaviourist and learn about building trust, confidence and collaboration - science based contemporary practice. Intimidation is cruel and necessary, and I’m afraid this gentleman’s abhorrent techniques are not up to date.

We had a few dog trainers helping us with Nugget when she was a pup but being a GSD it wasn’t enough for her.

Our lives changed when we contacted lupine canine.
Leander knows a lot about dogs and their behaviour and I cannot thank him and his team enough for the help he has given us.
Nugget was very reactive, nervous and we as a family found it hard to control her.
We are so lucky to have had Leander helping Nugget become a happy and contented dog she is now.
It’s not only Nugget that needed training but me too as there was so much that dogs pick up from our behaviour, confidence and on how stressed or relaxed we are.
Nugget understood commands and training within a day. The one that needed a lot of work was me as it’s also the owner who needs to know how to handle their dogs properly.

It was easy to contact Leander whenever I had a problem and his response was always immediate.

I felt our training was not just for the 1 or 2 hours a day but throughout the day as Leander was always just a phone call away to any queries or worries.
The training was excellent. As first time dog owners, Leander also gave us a lot of important information about reactive dogs and why they were behaving like that.
People on the outside watching in might think it was harsh or whatever they thought but dogs trained by Lupine Canine are always in control, well behaved and Happy.

Impeccable Puppy Selection Service!

Elite Obedience Training with Lenader from Lupine Canine allowed us to be excellent dog handlers to our beautiful Basenji boy – Lucky. It also made us confident about getting a second dog after having Lucky, the very demanding breed. Leander talked us through and advised us on the best-suited breed to pair with Lucky as his sibling. Once we decided, Leander looked after the whole process, from advising us on selecting a reputable breeder to choosing the puppy for us. Once the litter was ready for visitors and selection, Leander travelled with us to the breeder to carefully assess the puppies and select the one that it’s the most suited to our family and our Lucky. When she arrived at our home, she was the perfect match. This wasn’t just our luck but Leander’s extensive knowledge and expertise!

I wish I had known about Lupine Canine when I first got my dog. Would have saved me a lot of time, money and energy. As it was, I worked my way through several dog trainers and even behaviorists. It was not until I started training with Lupine Canine that I realized I was the problem, not the dog, and that I needed to understand my role as the pack leader for my dog. It has been truly the most mind blowing, exciting, and gratifying experience and I am so grateful to the the entire Lupine team for their care and guidance. After the 3 months intensive training, I have an entirely different relationship with my dog. It was never bad, but now that she understands her role, and I mine, it is that much better. UPDATE: My dog continues to have a 1/x week Lupine Canine walk to help reinforce her training and she sits by the door waiting for her dogwalker with great enthusiasm! The entire Lupine team is extremely responsive and helpful and I could not be happier nor recommend them more. Amazing! I am forever changed.
