We have been very happy with our son's progress at LS Tuition so far. The tutors are kind, supportive and incredibly experienced. Our son is really happy to go along and I think is making good progress with his maths and English.

Lydia has been so transformative for my daughter - she spent a lot of time with us at the start to understand my daughter’s needs and where she may be struggling. Despite being with her for just a couple months - I see a total difference in not only my daughter’s abilities, but her love and excitement about learning. Lydia is supportive, kind, and fun as well as being hugely capable and competent in helping my daughter find her feet in literacy and maths. I can’t imagine our lives without Lydia and we’re so grateful!

We absolutely love Ashley—she’s amazing. Our little boy usually struggles with new people due to his ASD and Global Developmental Delay, but he adores his time with her. He literally counts down the days until he sees her again. We can’t thank her enough. Not only is she a safe and trusted person for our little boy, but she also makes him feel genuinely comfortable. In such a short time, we’ve already seen huge improvements in his reading and handwriting. We’re so excited to see how much further he can progress with Ashley in his corner.

We have discovered LS Tuition over the summer looking for additional tuition support for our son who had just finished P1. From the first point of contact to the actual lessons we could not fault Lydia & her team. They are professional, caring, engaging and fun. The tutors are first class and really know how to get a child interested and engaged in learning. After a year of struggling to get our son interested in literacy & numeracy taught at school, he was suddenly coming for his lessons at LS Tuition with great enthusiasm and willingness to learn. He absolutely adored his tutor Ashley who managed to keep him focused every single lesson from the beginning to the end. We have also experienced tutoring with Sabrina and Mhari-Anne and both were fantastic.
The classroom is bright, the resources are plenty, the feedback is thorough and the kindness displayed by the entire team is second to none.
I cannot recommend this team enough to any parent who is struggling in one way or the other to get their child up to speed with the primary school curriculum and want them to start enjoying the learning process.

My P5 child is Home Educated ... they see Lydia's team for several lessons each week during term time. The main focus of their learning with LS Tuition is Literacy and Numeracy; in addition to this, I have also asked the team to spend some time each week looking at a General Topic (i.e. an area which would be covered in the Scottish Primary School Curriculum).

I could not speak highly enough of the support that Lydia and her team provide to my child ... they are extremely professional, their communication is excellent, every lesson is thoroughly prepared, and the homework they provide is of a very high quality.

We have had a wonderful experience at LS Tuition. Sabrina has been amazing with our child, whose confidence with learning has developed hugely since starting lessons. I could see the progress made after just one lesson. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both LS Tuition and Sabrina and know that with them we’re in very capable hands!

My son has benefited greatly from the tuition he receives at LS Tuition. His confidence has grown, and we’ve seen clear progress in both his reading and writing skills. He is now more engaged with reading, shows better comprehension, and his writing has become more structured and expressive.

L.S tutoring has done a lot for my 9 year old son. They started with an assessment to see what my son struggles are with learning and then set out a personalised plan. He has dyslexia and struggles at school. L.S tutoring has striped his learning down to the main issues and is supporting him to learn each step at his own pace. My son now actually enjoys and looks forward to his lessons and has developed more confidence in his school classroom. A lot of people tried to put me off tutoring and said it costs a lot etc but I honestly think it is worth it. Just an hour a week and I can see a difference in my son.

I can't speak highly enough of LS Tuitions and their exceptional tutors, Lydia and Ashley. They have been absolutely wonderful in supporting my daughter, Victoria, who is neurodivergent and has faced challenges with her learning.

From the very start, Lydia and Ashley showed incredible patience, empathy, and expertise. We are so thankful that we approached Lydia for support for our son’s learning during P4. His confidence seemed very low, especially with his maths, and generally he felt like he ‘couldn’t do it’ .
The journey has been nothing but transformative in that we now realise he is completely capable in maths, he just needed his confidence unlocked. Having missed a lot of school through the pandemic and finding it difficult to focus in bigger class environments our daughter had fallen quite far behind her peers and was struggling academically.

Thanks to Lydia and Ashley’s support, encouragement and care we’ve seen our daughter’s confidence with maths and comprehension steadily grow over the past two years.

Our son has difficulty with literacy due to autism, which affected his confidence. Lydia immediately understood his needs and tailored lessons specifically for him. She created effective strategies to help him cope with different learning challenges and actively incorporated feedback. Thanks to her support, our son has made immense progress in both literacy and numeracy, and his confidence has grown significantly.

We brought our son to LS almost 2 years ago now with focus primarily on numeracy and maths, a subject he found challenging and in which he lacked a little confidence.

Working with Lydia since then has been excellent and really helped to increase his confidence, bringing him on to the extent that he is now placed in the higher group for maths in the classroom at school. Whilst some aspects of maths still challenge him, we really appreciate Lydia's ongoing support in consolidating what he is learning in school and to maintain him at the level he has now achieved.

Working holistically, Lydia was also able to identify aspects of literacy which could be improved and which we were previously unaware of. There is therefore little doubt that she has brought about a significant all round improvement in his skill set across all domains as well as increased his self-confidence which is key to fulfilling potential.

At a personal level, Lydia is kind and cares deeply about the children she tutors and who in turn all clearly adore her. She is a fun, natural teacher who has created an environment at LS which is warm, nurturing and which works extremely well.

Lydia is a wonderful teacher, she helped our daughter gain in confidence and of course improved her maths and literacy skills. She creates a warm and supportive environment for her students to learn and focuses on building that relationship throughout so they feel safe to learn. Would highly recommend her.

From the beginning LS Tuition was very friendly and engaging. They listened to the concerns we had about our seven year old son and carried out a thorough assessment of him before we started his tutoring.

Ashley was assigned to him and he absolutely loved having her as his tutor. She formed a strong bond with him and found a way of getting him to be enthusiastic about his lessons.

In the classroom they have a wide range of resources, including some great educational games, and they always take the time to give parents feedback after each lesson, which we really appreciated. The tutors are genuinely interested in getting to know the kids and helping them through their educational journeys.

My child attended the KS1 Summer School in 2024. They have a diagnosis of Autism and Dyspraxia, so finding activities which they can access effectively during the school holidays is very tricky. The small group setting at LS Tuition, combined with the 'whole week sign-up' (i.e. meaning that the same children are there every day), along with the high level of staff professionalism / expertise, made Summer School a perfect fit for them ... they had an amazing week. Communication with me (i.e. as a parent) was also excellent ... I could not recommend Lydia and her team highly enough ... first class! :-)

I simply could not recommended LS tuition enough. Lydia and Ashley are wonderful teachers who have welcomed my little boy into their classroom with a nurturing approach. Their enthusiasm and passion for each individual child shines through. As a parent of a child who is unable to cope in a mainstream classroom and who has experienced trauma due to the current educational system, it’s means the world to see my child gradually progress with the support of LS Tuition.
