Would give zero stars if i could
Had a device insured with them which clearly stated on the page prior to purchasing that battery faults were covered amongst other things. Purchased the policy, attempted to make a claim a few months after purchasing, described what had happened with the device, they refused the claim citing ‘gradual deterioration of batteries’ despite the fact they didn’t even ask for the device to be sent to them for inspection & that the device wasn't even a year old. Even sent them screenshots from their website showing that batteries were covered according to their advertisement. If they had said that the device was still within the manufacturers warranty period & this was the reason the couldn’t repair, i may have accepted that.
Was told i was welcome to appeal the decision, which probably wouldn’t have done much good. Sent item away to manufacturer, wasn’t even a battery issue at all it was an issue with the motherboard which if loveitcoverit would have found if they’d even bothered to inspect the item. Needless to say the policy i had for this device & a couple of other devices was swiftly cancelled, i also advised them of the manufacturers repair report & what the actual cause was. This email was completely ignored.
I have since sold the device & all my other items were insured with a competitor who I have used in the past but are slightly more expensive, worth it though for the piece of mind.

Claims are assessed based on the circumstances and information available to us at the time, together with the terms and exclusions of the policy. However, we appreciate your concern that the device was not inspected before the original decision was reached.
We’re also sorry that you did not receive a response after providing the manufacturer’s repair report. Regardless of the outcome of the original claim, you should have received an acknowledgement and response to the additional information you supplied.

Been with Love it, Cover it for several years and have always had excellent service. On renewal this year however they sent me a renewal notice by email which I unfortunately missed and they then cancelled my policy when the renewal date passed. One email and it was all sorted again.

Extremely poor customer service – no clear resolution
I am extremely disappointed with LoveIt CoverIt.
I paid for my insurance annually and upfront, but was then notified that my policy was being cancelled before the end of the paid period.
I contacted them to find out why and what could be done. Their representative explained that the cancellation had been triggered by an issue with the Direct Debit, but confirmed that my policy was still active because I had already paid for the full year and that my device remained covered.
However, my online account still shows the policy as “being cancelled.”
I followed up asking them to confirm in writing that my cover is definitely active and that the incorrect cancellation status will not affect any future claim.
Five days later, I still haven’t received a response.
This is extremely frustrating when we’re talking about insurance for an expensive device. If a customer has paid for an entire year of cover, they should not have to repeatedly chase the insurer for basic confirmation that they are actually insured.
The initial response gave me reassurance, but the lack of follow-up and the contradictory status in my account have left me uncertain about something that should be very straightforward.
I simply want clear confirmation that the cover I have already paid for is valid until the end of the paid policy period and that I won’t face problems if I need to make a claim. Please resolve this properly and update the account accordingly.
Very disappointing customer service so far.
