I have been buying from LG since its inception and have so far made 7 online transactions, all items Im very happy with and kept (I've never returned, If i do choose to part ways with an item, I just resell!) . Yet to visit the store, but will do very soon. Always very reliable.

I bought a bag from Loop for my wife for her christmas present. My wife has a number of bags (both new and preloved) from this particular designer, and is always looking to add to her collection. I thought that by buying via Loop, I would have a less risky purchase than buying from other routes.

The bag I purchased was listed as 'very good condition (signs of wear on hardware)'. Loop list on their website that items go through a strict quality control process, and yet I was informed that this bag was broken after I'd purchased it. A discount was offered, which I accepted as it then allowed me to pay to have the bag repaired elsewhere. Not ideal, but one of those things and I thought that would be the end of any issues.

Upon gifting the bag to my wife, she found a number of inconsistencies that raised some alarm bells, such as being unable to locate the serial number that would usually be found on bags from this designer. I reached back out to Loop to let them know that I couldn't find the serial number, and enquired if they had located it during their quality control and authentication process.

Loop informed me that the bag was bought from a sample sale, so was not a production bag, and therefore didn't have the serial number. In the original advert for this bag, none of this information was disclosed, and an RRP was present, implying this was a production bag with the associated authenticating credentials. I would have hoped that a reputable seller such as Loop would have listed the item as a sample piece with the minor defects you would associate with this, and were found on this bag, such as lack of serial number, plus inconsistent stitching, edging and embossing, so buyers have the information to make an informed decision.

I ultimately decided to keep the bag as it was intended as a gift, and I'd already paid to have it repaired elsewhere. I have previously bought through other reputable resellers such as Handbag Clinic and Vestiaire Collective, which have all been smooth processes with no issues, so it's not a case of not knowing what to expect from a reseller.

I have sent a message indicating I was dissatisfied with the whole buying process, which was read on WhatsApp by Loop on 10 Feb 2026. I have received no response as of 17 Feb 2026.

Overall, an imperfect buying process for what should have been a luxury purchase.

Warning for Sellers and Buyers

I worked with this brand as a seller. My experience was a serious red flag.

First item:
They changed the selling price without my permission. Communication was poor, cold, and dismissive. Simple questions were ignored.

Second item:
They said my bag was not from brand it was bought from based on an AI system they rely on. Then they stated that the same bag would suddenly become authentic if I provided a receipt.
Think about that.

So according to them:
• without a receipt → the item is “unrecognised” (basically treated as fake)
• with a receipt → the item is authentic

This is highly suspicious.

Most normal people do not keep receipts. People buy bags to wear them, not to resell them years later.
Lack of a receipt does not make an item fake.

Only the brand itself can confirm or deny authenticity. This AI tool after attentive check appeared to be with no legal status or brand certification, so legally it cannot do any conclusions.

I highly do not recommend this company to sellers or buyers. Their authentication process is clearly unreliable.
If they can’t properly identify real items, they can’t be trusted to identify fakes either. So l make conclusion by yourself the percentage of really “recognised” items in their shop… be very careful buying from them.
