Quoted £49 for the labour, advised no call out charge. Double checked no extra cost and said only for any materials required. Lock was jammed and just needed opened. Guy came and said £125. I said tha... Mehr ansehen

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I snapped my key in the door and they came and quoted me £400 to remove this! Which I refused to pay and as soon as my partner came around the corner he dropped this to £300. I also refused this and got stung with a £49 call out charge even though it states free call out! I phoned another company which came out and fixed the problem for £40. Absolutely avoid this company at all costs absolutely disgusting. Cowboys.
Unhappy experience
Like others here, also feel ripped off by these people. Very high prices (quoted over £800 to replace a lock) and somewhat coercive sales techniques. Didn't expect it and was caught out. Fixed my lock though.
Do Not Use!
I work remotely so needed a locksmith quickly for a client, quoted £49 labour and £29 for standard yale lock, didn't arrive at allotted time, when the guy did arrive he was passive aggressive to our house keeper and she felt very uncomfortable in the house with him, charged my client who wasn't in the area 3 x the price quoted which he paid as had no other choice. I am going to get in touch with the company and if they do not refund at least half of the amount I will be going to trading standards.
This company are committing fraud
This company are committing fraud. They lie and say the call out cost is £49 to open the lock they are not qualified locksmiths and smash open and damage your lock and door. Then charge extortionate prices for smashing your lock.
Absolute sharks
Absolute sharks. Charged us £180 to put a bit of wire through letterbox and turn the key. We were quoted £49 on phone if job "is simple". This couldn't have been simpler. Now feel ripped off and unable to afford a birthday dinner this month. Thanks a lot.
My door lock broke in a Sunday evening
My door lock broke in a Sunday evening. Mike was with me within35 mins .
Secured my home. Gave me the price to fix it.
Paid up front.
He came back the next day at agreed time. Called while on route.
Then completed the replacement within 35mins.
Very courteous and respectful.
I would recommend locsllocksmith4all.
Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking. You are in a predicament and need help, not exploitation. Moved into a new home and broke the key in bifold doors (schoolboy error) late in the evening no hardware shops open and kinda desperate after the big move! Called this unscrupulous outfit. No call out charge fee would be £69 for getting the broken key out of the lock. Fine, that's reasonable. Anyways, the guy arrived and took one look at the lock and said he couldn't fix it and needed a new one. OK how much. over £230, that's how much. Now I am not wet behind the ears, I was just desperate and tired and wanted to go to bed. Anyways I payed the money and he did one. I woke in the morning feeling very very sick to the stomach, knowing I had been scammed. Anyways I picked the old lock cylinder up (the one with the broken key in) and pushed a spare key through the other side. Low and behold the broken key came out. If I could have kicked my own but I would have. My brain started working and everything the so called locksmith said the previous evening tp get me to part with my hard earned money just didn't make any sense whatsoever.
1 - if you can change a lock without drilling the more than likely the key has broken on a position where you can push the broken key out from the other side.
2 - Why did he not try this. He didn't try this because int not conducive with the whole scam.
4 - After inspecting the parts used I could have purchased online for £15
3 - Trading standards letter incoming to them as on the Google add (which I clicked like a divvy) it said no call out charge.
Anyways. I got mugged off. I hope this review will stop others from being mugged off. Cheers
As a side note, If locallocksmith4you sees this review. Why can't outfits like yours just be good, honest, fair and hard working individuals. Don't you understand that you would get more business and great reviews. It just baffles me.
Christian got me in
Christian got me in. He charged £100. I am grateful to him. He was calm and helpful.
This company is a huge scam

Feeling Exploited
We were called to Worthing as my mother was dying. It was a 5 hour journey. On arrival at the nursing home we realised that we had forgotten the keys to her house and had no way of getting in. She died shortly after we arrived and we were distressed. We called the first locksmith we found. They said it would be 30 minutes from when we said we were leaving the nursing home. The temperature was -3 degrees and we waited in the car outside her house. An hour later we called again saying no one had arrived. They said they thought the other person would be there by now but that they themselves would come and would be there in 40 minutes. After numerous phone calls we waited for a total of nearly 2 hours for them to arrive. We had not eaten, were upset, very cold, tired and hungry. The person was pleasant and suggested I wait in the car where it was less cold. He put in a totally new lock in the back door and my partner paid. Only after it was done did my partner tell me that it cost £409! Admittedly it was a Saturday evening but we started the process of calling about 7.00pm and then confirmed when we left the nursing home when we would be at the house. I suspect that we were told that someone would be there to keep us holding on and not calling anyone else. We looked up the address later of the registered company which is in London. The time it took for a locksmith is the amount of time it might take to get to us from London!! The website says they will be with you in 30 minutes!! There was no compensation for the delay. If we had not been distressed and rushing to get to Worthing we would have remembered the keys. We would also have contracted effectively with them about costs before hand. On the website it states that costs are "from £39" (though I would not expect it to be that cheap on a Saturday evening or for the job that was needed). Always buy local and check the company hasn't just bought a local phone number but are in fact based elsewhere. I am sharing this experience in the hope that no-one else has this happen to them, especially when very upset after a bereavement.
Doubled- no, tripled the quote.
Quoted one price, guy came out and quoted three times the price. Managed to pay just double to gain entry to the house however we will now need to spend more money to secure the house.
Not ideal at all.
Excessive charges
I called out this company at 6.30pm because I could not unlock my wooden front door because the lock button had dropped on the night latch. The ‘locksmith’ came around 20 minutes after my call and drilled out the lock and replaced the rim cylinder and night latch. He was there for around 30 minutes maximum. I was charged £188 for Labour and £159 for the parts which retail between £23 - £38. The following day I got estimates for a similar job from 2 local locksmiths registered with the Master Locksmiths Association (this company is not) and was quoted between £140 and £180. Need I say more?
avoid ,just avoid
Locksmith called to open the lock damaged a good lock, despite this did not replace it with a new one, but charged full price for the service. Avoid just avoid.
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs! I rang this company on Friday as I couldn’t reach my local locksmith. My tenant was locked out of her property as the lock had broken on her front door. I have given them one star as they were very prompt at going to the property, was there within half an hour, or I wouldn’t have given any stars! This rip off company wanted to charge me £450 for a new locking mechanism. I said no way, I could buy a new door for not much more. I agreed for him to put a lock on for my tenant to be secure, of which the lock worked fine whilst he was there only 2 hours later the lock didn’t work at all. I was charged £100 for a call-out and dodgy lock. When I rang Saturday morning to say the lock wasn’t working the response I got was that I should have paid the £450 for a new mechanism. He would not go back out to look at the lock he had put in 12 hours earlier. Avoid this company…. Feel like I’ve thrown £100 away. My local locksmith has been out this morning to fix the lock properly for £115…. Way off the price of £450 quoted by this company.
Shark locksmith!!!!
Shark locksmith!!!!
So I called the ipswich branch and an agent took my details and requirements. I wanted 5 double glazing windows unlocked as they'd been left locked in the house we bought. A locksmith called and got my address and turned up 45mins later. He came in and asked again what it is I wanted doing and I explained and he said he did not think he had enough window handles to replace the 5 so he'd go check in his car. I told him I'd got one if it helped as in my attempt.to find a key that fitted I'd bought a key from amazon and they'd sent a handle along with it too.
He came back.and said he had none but his colleague might have so he was going to meet him and call me back with more information. He did 20mins later.
So this cowboy wanted £45 PER handle and a further £39 removal (2 screws) and fitting charge PER handle. I swooned and asked him if he was seriously asking for £45 for a handle I'd got similarly from amazon for £3.60 and he retorted he was not amazon. I told him I'm not against people making money but to charge £45 for so.ething on sale for £3.60 (now £2.99) is an outrage and outright rip off.
I wished him well and bade him goodbye!!! Interestingly another locksmith is now coming on Tuesday and he quoted £75 for the whole job.
I have since managed to unlock 3 myself but will still give him the work for the remaining ones and still pay him £75!!
Beware as there are unscrupulous sharks out there!!!!
They don't care about you
Phoned on Friday at midday - was told to expect someone within the hour as my key had broken in the front door lock. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 hours passed, nobody turned up, nobody called back. 35 degree heat outside and they just leave you waiting without even letting you know they won't be able to attend. Three days later and they still haven't been in touch; lacking common decency. 100% avoid.
Very rude and expensive
Very rude and charges a really high price. Avoid at all costs. If I can give 0 star I will give this company 0 star.
Great service!
Nice guy called Radu got me back into my home in minutes! Got a call from him to say he’d been given the job and when he would be with me - and he was right on time! Paid the exact price quote (no hidden VAT) - and they were £20 cheaper than a “local” company. Impressed!
