Greystar Holding Peoples refunds
I applied for an apartment at Parallel in Anaheim, CA on October 21 and paid the hold fee of $200 plus a $35 application fee. I found out 2 days later that I was not approved due to their online verification thinking I made a fake pay stub. They told me that I would receive an email in a few days on how I would like my refund, gift card, direct deposit or the original deposit method.. Well here we are 15 days later (Nov 7) and I still have not received any email on how or when my hold deposit will be returned. I have called the office many times with no answer from employees, and even stopped in there once, and when I do talk to them, I only get a run around answer. I have also contacted corporate in TX with also very limited info from them and all they do is give me a corporate number in Newport Beach that nobody ever answers. This has been the worst experience ever on any apartment I ever applied for in my life. The staff at the property, Wendy & Elizabeth, are both very ghost people when trying to contact over the phone, and some girl named Susan Davis who is supposedly the regional Supervisor, isn't much of one who hides behind her keyboard supposedly. I had asked for an email response from her and I still haven't heard crap from her, or hardly anyone else for that matter.
Upon further investigation, I have found that Greystar, Parallel's property management company, is involved in many lawsuits with several violations of illegally withholding tenants’ security deposits. Greystar also has over 2000 complaints on the BBB website.
Bottom line:
STAY CLEAR FROM THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PROPERTIES!
