Good onboarding experience, but major issues funding from Europe - New update
Update (added after the issue was resolved):
Date: 29/07/2026
After posting this review, I had the opportunity to discuss the situation further with Lightspeed. Rob was very professional and genuinely tried to help.
My original experience remains accurate, but I appreciate the effort made to address my concerns.
My account has now been successfully funded and is fully operational. While the initial funding process for international clients could still be explained more clearly to avoid unnecessary delays and costs, I appreciate the way the situation was ultimately handled. For that reason, I'm updating my rating to reflect both the initial problems and the professional way they were resolved.

My experience with Lightspeed Trading as a European client.
To be fair, the account opening process was smooth, straightforward, and professionally handled. My account was approved quickly and I initially had a positive impression of the company.
Unfortunately, everything changed when I attempted to fund the account from Europe.
What followed was a frustrating and costly process that lasted approximately 15 days. During that time, I attempted multiple funding methods, including SWIFT, wire transfer, and ACH-related solutions, following the instructions provided and trying every available option to get funds into my account.
None of them worked successfully.
The funds were ultimately rejected and returned, but only after a lengthy process involving multiple emails, uncertainty about where the money was located, and significant delays in obtaining clear information about the status of the transfer.
As an active trader, the biggest cost was not only financial. Being unable to access my capital for 15 days meant being unable to trade, missing opportunities and disrupting my trading activity.
In total, this experience cost me approximately USD 150 in transfer fees, banking charges, and return-related costs, not including the opportunity cost of being unable to trade.
I want to emphasize that this review is not about the trading platform itself, as I never had the opportunity to use it with funded capital. It is specifically about the funding process for clients outside the United States.
My advice to prospective international clients, particularly those based in Europe, is simple: before opening an account, obtain clear written confirmation regarding the exact funding methods that will be accepted and processed successfully from your country and banking institution.
For U.S.-based clients, this may not be an issue. For international clients, my experience was extremely disappointing and ultimately led me to close the account before ever placing a single trade.
I hope this review helps other traders outside the United States make a fully informed decision.
