I knew from Day 1 who my two main points of contact would be and all terms and conditions, plus costs were very clearly laid out. I was given a professional but user friendly guide to the process and was given confidence that I had the means to quickly contact the firm whenever necessary. Both the sale and purchase of my house were handled in an exemplary fashion: all issues were dealt with promptly , again in a friendly and very professional way. It made what is acknowledged to be an extremely stressful undertaking a much pleasanter experience and I felt we established a good personal rapport. I cannot praise both my conveyancer and solicitor highly enough and would have no hesitation in recommending this firm and using it again in the future.

If there was an option to leave no stars, I would use it. Save your time and money by not using Lewis Denley. They had 6 months to complete a deed transfer and missed the deadline, one staff member left meaning I was sending emails to an account that was not being monitored, I was then sending regular follow up emails which were ignored. Heather went on leave and her emails remained unchecked for 2 weeks meaning a query submitted to her was not answered in time as the submission was completed incorrectly. Emails from me remained unanswered and I was then requested to get an extension of time from my lender, which was granted, but the new deadline was also missed. This practice then claimed Target were slow in their process, however, they have failed to admit their own lack of commitment. After 6 months I remain in the same situation but remain out of pocket. Don't use this practice!

Our experience with Lewis Denley was excellent. During what we suspected to be a routine house sale and purchase, it transpired at the last minute that our buyer had been lying about not being part of a chain. This threw up a hornets' nest of issues and a lot of stress for our young family. Not only that but the buyer's solicitor was unresponsive to the point of negligence. Our vendor, tired of the delay gave us an ultimatum to exchange by the following Friday or they would withdraw papers. Our conveyancer, Leah Jeftha, was outstanding. Calm, diligent and conscientious, she managed to pull everything together and get us over the line in time while keeping us informed every step of the way. We have no doubt that without her acting for us, we would have lost the sale and the purchase. We would happily recommend her and Lewis Denley's services to anyone looking to move house.

Lewis Denley have helped us with our first property purchase and wow - I couldn’t have asked for more. We dealt with Heather, Anna & Rachel and they kept us up to date from start to finish. We had some very stupid questions (being first time buyers and myself being quite ditsy haha!) but they answered and provided us with ease the entire way through. We've had a fantastic experience of Lewis Denley. We used them for a house purchase and they were always clear and prompt in their communications to us. I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the searches they conducted on our behalf. And they were really proactive about following things up without me needing to prompt them. We always felt safe with them driving the transaction forwards and I'll gladly use them again.

I sought out Marwa Hadi-Barnes after being disappointed with a large legal firm who put no urgency on a divorce matter which needed immediate attention. I was drawn to employ her on my case after reading her experience in family law and particularly in aspects relevant to my circumstances. Marwa had just started up Family law at Lewis Denley and immediately gave my case her attention. Her advice has been measured and considered throughout, drawing my attention away from the personal and emotional issues to focus on the best way forward. I am pleased to say that my painful family legal issues are now resolved, but almost sad to say goodbye to Marwa who has been excellent throughout.

Lewis Denley solicitors delt with the sale and purchase or house. A house sale can be very stressful at the best of times but throw in Covid and the situation could get a lot worse. The most important thing to me was contact and communication. Every time I call the phone was answered either by my solicitor or one of her team. Messages and emails were all answered and dealt with. After this experience with Lewis Denley, I am happy to recommend them and would definitely use them again. Thank you Katie and your excellent team.
